They gave us a great price on the work performed as well as paying great attention to the little details of the job. They showed up as scheduled and completed the jobs as scheduled. They were available to answer all questions and address any concerns that we had throughout the time frame of the project. The jobs sites were cleaned on a daily basis, which was important considering we had tenants living in the units. Overall I would have to say they did an excellent job from beginning to end and I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for great work at a fair price.

The one thing we knew for sure was that we needed to collect the best information possible, so we could be confident, patient, and smart about the decision making process. Ultimately, this would result in the best possible outcome for our family. Fortunately, early in the process we ran into one of the most impressive people in the housing industry: Wayne Kelley of Kelley Brother's Construction!!!! My wife and I were going to buy a house from my sister's friend. We thought the inside was really nice and the outside just needed a little work. We loved the house and really wanted to buy it. Wayne did a real contractors report instead of a regular inspection. He drove an hour and a half to inspect the house and could tell in 10 minutes the house had a lot of issues without even going inside. He was so honest, that when I got there he immediately told me not to buy the house. He showed and explained to me why we shouldn't buy it. He even taught me what to look for in the future and said I could take pictures on my phone that he could analyze with a computer program ahead of time. I couldn't believe how many things he found just on the outside that we didn't notice. Based on the information, we immediately decided to bail on the house!! Wayne understood how we felt about the situation and didn't even charge us for the inspection!! I was absolutely blown away by his honesty, integrity, and professionalism. I could have paid for a regular inspector, but most of them don't pay enough attention to detail. Wayne paid extra attention to all the details and went the extra mile to help us. Two days later, my wife found another house. This time my father and I looked at the house a lot more carefully. It was in pretty good shape, so we scheduled an inspection with Wayne again. This time he said the house was in great shape, it just needed a lot of little things fixed. Wayne even took the time to coach us on how to negotiate the offer and the inspection report. Based on his advice and detailed report, the sellers agreed to fix everything on the list without a problem at all!! Wayne helped us with every aspect of home buying from start to finish. Based on Wayne's expert advice, we bought our first house without an agent and saved a whole lot of money, time, and stress!! Wayne will give you the leverage you need to get the best deal possible for your family's future. Overall, Wayne was more interested in helping us as people and empowering us with the information we needed to make a smart decision, than he was the money. If it wasn't for Wayne Kelley, my wife and I would have lost tens of thousands of dollars!! Instead, we learned a lot, saved a ton of money, and got an awesome deal overall. They were pleasant and professional, but that's about all I can say. In short, they hired terrible…read moresubcontractors, and took no responsibility for the sub-adequate work they did. When we took the option of ground-mounting the heat exchanger instead of roof mounting it, the crew mounted this enormously heavy piece of equipment on top of a single vertically positioned 4x4x8, screwed to the middle of our deck, about five feet in front of the door! (See photo 1) And they did this without checking in with us, or telling us the plan! In addition to blocking the door and making it impossible to get large appliances in or out, a strong wind or single karate-kick would easily have brought the whole thing crashing down. And that's how they left it. (Furthermore, while working, the contractor had to shut off electricity to the whole building, including the accounting office, but then did not turn it back on before leaving, and did not leave a not on the breaker box telling us not to turn it back on. When someone switched the power on the next morning, the contractor got angry when he came back, and told us it was a fire hazard. So, if it was dangerous, where was the note telling us not to turn our power back on?) Finally, ABD agreed to relocate the heat exchanger to the roof, charging us over $3000 for doing so. Okay. And using the same sub-contractors. Even though I told them I had no confidence in this team....okay. And, ABD offered a 90 day warranty. For roof work. 90 days. Spit and bubble gum would have held up longer than 90 days. Predictably, the same guys came out, mounted the heat exchanger to our roof--a standing seam metal roof that we just installed three years ago--and sealed it using what looks like latex caulk, suitable for door or window trim, but not how you prevent roof fasteners from leaking over any amount of time. (See photo 2) A *professional* roofing company (Cowan Roofing, they do great work) had a look and confirmed that it won't leak right away, but probably in 2-3 years will need to be redone. To remount it correctly, to prevent ongoing maintenance, is going to be almost as expensive as ABD's bill for re-mounting the whole thing. I sent them the estimate, and ABD refused to cover one penny of the cost of fixing their work. The end.

Run far far away from this company. I have hired countless contractors over the past 15 years for…read moreboth my house and vacation home and have this experience. Would've had more success hiring a neighbors kid down the street. No communication, just throws numbers out, doesn't follow through, and simply just tries to increase the already jacked up price. This company is a joke at best and just out to perform professional robbery without results. I hire them to replace some rotten deck boards, patch 2 3 foot sections in the ceiling, and build a matching handrail on the front of the house for my parents. First you will be greeted by a shiny professional car salesman with an ipad who brags about "not being the cheapest", makes racist comments such as "We aren't Mexican" (should have been a sign right there), the process of the work to be a dedicated huge crew that will come in and knock out anything in 2 days without reassignment. He also bragged about how big the company is and everything is done right, etc etc. He had to call "the boss" later to to be called "Vice President of Installation" on his email, then later to be called "Director of Installation" by his "Customer Service Dept" sister/wife. They cant even get their titles right. The salesman comes back with a typed up quote and contract to sign after his bosses approval. BE VERY SPECIFIC IF YOU EVER SIGN A CONTRACT WITH THEM WITH BROKEN DOWN COSTS. Contract stated: Replace rotten 1x6 decking, patch and paint drywall, repair two piece crown, railings on stairs Notes: A deposit of $2,130.22 is due before any work is scheduled. The remaining balance of $2,130.22 is due upon completion of work. Customer must supply paint. Deposit received, check number 1976, amount $2,130.22 Description Quantity Cost Deck board replacement, drywall patch and paint, crown repair. Remove and replace rotten deck boards in back yard where needed. Remove damaged drywall and replace, patch and match texture as closely as possible. Upstairs bedroom. Skim, sand, and paint patch in living room ceiling. Replace run of crown in living room where cut. Remove iron railing on front porch, install new wood railing to match existing, paint to match. Project Total 4,260.44 The quote for this was $4200 with 1/2 down. I was tired of looking around and just wanted to get it done because family were coming into town in a month and there was no way I could complete it all. The "company" uses a lot of made up titles with their staff to look big. They are out of Fredericksburg taking a job an hour away. Workers arrive and it was obvious no one had given them details on the work they were to perform. The first day was spent going to Lowe's and 1hr drive time because they got here at 10am, went to Lowe's, bought wrong size boards, returned them after I pointed it out and replaced with 16 12 foot boards. They stated the contract was spec'd for 16 boards..I don't see that do you? No I wanted the deck repaired, so MOST of the deck got repaired until the boards ran out unless I wanted them to call "the boss", "the VP, "Director of Install", all the same guy Mark King. They had originally stopped at 1/2 the deck completed stating out of boards. I pointed out after measuring the boards, I was missing a lot more "feet" if that is what they are basing it on. They realized they bought 12 foot boards instead of 16ft boards because it couldn't fit in the van. So yeah!! Good news, I can get some more feet for FREE!! Lucky me! Cut hole in ceiling, try to jack me for $800 mold remediation, I told them no, had Serv Pro come say its fine and splashed some bleach for free. Still tried to charge me at the end for it because they "bought" bleach. Even after I told him to not do it, and the workers didn't. Told the boss he needs to communicate with his people and not getting paid for that. Tried adding to the bill anyway. Didn't complete rail because they "couldn't make it look right" so I got $385 off, then said I was quoted for a 4x4 post. I don't live in a mobile home. Didn't attempt to match ceiling, see contract. At that point, after blank stares and watching the boss needing to be called to find out 1. How little he could get away with 2. How much more I could be charged. Finally I had enough of this nightmare, and cut a check for the remained of the contract minus $385 of $1750. Not the $2900 made up number, the "boss" wanted. Got a call from the "boss", arguing about his add on's I didn't agree to, nor performed. I didn't even let them stick around to go back to Lowes to match the ceiling and called it a loss just to end this nightmare of a company. STAY FAR AWAY. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! This company is a joke at best, trying to appear to be professional and on top of it, when in reality can't even fund their own equipment needed for the job.

We were able to look past a lot but when a HVAC issue destroyed over 1/2 our 2nd floor, their warranty department said that they are not covering any of the damages. Bethel hired the HVAC company.
