I've had less annoying experiences with multilevel marketing scammers. We had an utterly bizarre encounter with a Paramount door-to-door salesman and--get this-- the office worker he inexplicably had put on speakerphone while we were standing on our porch. Keep in mind that all of this played out when we needed to leave for an engagement. We told them right at the start that we had a minute to schedule an estimate but needed to leave. They still pulled this nonsense. The sales rep tried to pressure us into giving our phone number and only backed off when we were going to call off the whole thing. A complete stranger that knocked on your door trying to push you into giving up your phone number despite your obvious discomfort? Not a good look. We were going to make the appointment anyway just to get a quote, but it got weirder. The sales rep had to call the office to 'put the appointment in the system' while we were standing there. We've never had a reputable contractor do that before. Then, we had to talk to the office employee on speakerphone. What the heck?? It became abundantly clear that the person at our door wasn't an employee but a contracted salesman that had to prove he was making real appointments to get paid. It was tacky and gross as well as disrespectful of our time. Then, the office employee insisted "all homeowners be present" for what we were told would be a simple estimate. Huge red flag that they're likely going to try to manipulate a quick sale and don't want you to do any research on their product/company. Reputable companies don't need those kinds of tactics. The office worker also slipped up and mentioned a "demo." A quick, free estimate shouldn't involve a "demo." This is construction, not a mall kiosk. The door-to-door person kept pushing after we refused to let the office person nail us down, and we were were forced to shut the door in their face. There's only so many times we're willing to be ignored when we say "We need to leave." The complaints about Paramount using these tactics go back years across multiple review sites and Consumer Affairs. All of their replies to negative reviews pointing out how awful they're being feel disingenuous at best and insulting at worst. Sleazy as heck. Don't let them wear you down and pressure you into anything.

Several of the Windows came with scratches on the inside panes, which I assume is why on the install they were never cleaned or labels removed. Second with a few sashes but nothing for the outside finish. It has been several months again, and nothing. Please think twice before, trying to work with this company. Received a quote cheaper than our 3 previous quotes and the customer service from Micah Cunningham was great. The only delay in our service was weather, which none of us could control. The roof was replaced in one day, with unforeseen costs being rotted wood under the shingles. These costs were communicated prior but because of the rising cost of wood, it still stung a little. The gutters were put on the following week. They did an amazing job and our end unit townhome had a real face lift. There was another unforeseen cost due to a slight miscommunication but Micah remedied this and adjusted the cost. The delivery of kitchen cabinets were the primary driver to begin the process which were delivered in early April. The contract required the remodel to be completed between four and five weeks. On 22 April, the contractor began demolition which continued sparely throughout the week. On that Friday (25 April) we believed that the project would continue to move forward throughout the next week (the week of the 28th). Since no one showed up Monday morning, we contacted S&K and were told that nobody would be onsite Monday and Tuesday with no explanation. This practice continued off and on throughout the project which culminated in over 2 weeks of days when nothing was accomplished. This resulted in the period of performance to balloon from 4 to 5 to over 7 weeks. One of the outrageous claims was for 2 days that they didn't work because an unwarranted claim regarding my wife's heath. It appears that S&K is in need of significant improvement in the following areas: Communication: between the customer (not updating project process unless asked) and the S&K employees (arriving on site with no idea of current arrangements). Project Management: As described above, the project experienced many unproductive days. S&K does not seem to understand "project work arounds" when certain areas cannot be accomplished but other parts can. Quality Control: All project discrepancies/issues (plumbing, electrical and drywall) were identified by the customer and not S&K. S&K supervision never checked on site project status nor the quality of the work...both S&K and trade vendors.

July 2020, we had a violent storm with…read moremicro-bursts blow through with very high winds, hail, rain, etc... that sent a tree limb through our roof. The insurance adjuster was, very poor, at best. No in-house inspectors sent. Using third party inspectors, they failed to even see a majority of the damage. This went on for about 9 months. 9Hammers was very involved in getting the re-inspections done when the third party inspection reports came back without noting the scope of the damage, and the current condition of the roof. 9Hammers was finally able to perform an inspection with the 3rd party inspector. Several more emails back and forth to ensure the repairs were done properly, and we now have the repair completed, 11 months after the damage occurred. Had it not been for 9Hammers, we would have had a repair completed that would have no warranty, along with a hole left in the sheathing. Ray and Chuck were very professional. Having been on the CC line to the emails to the adjuster, they were also very professional with the insurance company, despite the "shenanigans" the insurance adjuster was pulling. I do not know how they stayed so patient throughout this process. I highly recommend them for any roof work, and will also be using them when it is time to redo our decks.
