I decided to reschedule for a Saturday morning at 9am (when they open) and the office was locked and nobody answered the phone for 30 minutes. No wonder this is a tier 3 facility. This operation epitomizes the saying "you get what you pay for", unfortunately it's been 3 weeks since I made contact and I haven't gotten a single thing from this place other than loss of wages for time off. They would charge me if I didn't show up for an appointment so they should compensate me since they didn't show up either. If there is any other option in NJ, take it and don't look back.

I used to come here back when it was Montclair Radiology and the location is super convenient for me, but this is the last time I'll be coming here after repeated poor experiences. First, online scheduling. I must have uploaded my information 6 times -- they keep asking you to upload your personal documents repeatedly. Arrived there 15 mins ahead of appointment time as requested. Had to register once, they took my personal identification from me, then got called to a desk and STILL had to fill out additional paperwork. No one communicates with you about what's happening -- other patients waiting explained to me, oh, they're taking your ID and then you'll be called up to the desk. Waited 45 mins. after my appointment, so total of an hour from their requested arrival time. This was an appointment early in the morning too. The waiting room was already full of people with few seats by time I was called. Routine mammogram, was fine for what it was. In and out in 10 minutes. The whole process of making you wait foreever, making you give documents repeatedly, and poor communication throughout makes you feel like livestock, not a human. Nevermind them charging you extra for AI-aided exams. It's a personnel savings for them, but because insurance companies don't cover AI exam reading yet, they pass along the cost to the customer. Poor move and no, did not opt for this. Told me results would be posted to my portal in 24-48 hours. Going on day 5 here and no results yet. Tried calling and you cannot reach a human. They make you leave a message to get a call back. Records aren't reflected on my doctor's portal either so I have no way to learn about my results. Lovely way to add stress to my week. I live so close to this location, in fact, that I know they are not good neighbors to the people who live in surrounding properties in a residential neighborhood. Their employees have nowhere to park so they park too close to driveways which creates blindspots pulling into traffic. They extended their hours much later than the former owners and there are delivery trucks, landscaping, snow removal people who literally show up with loud trucks in the middle of the night. Have had several similar experiences in the past with waits, not being able to reach anyone over the phone, etc. Continued to come for the convenience of the location, but never, ever, ever again will I return.

My anxiety was off the charts, and so I was almost a decade overdue for my mammogram. But…read moreeverything about this visit was comforting and relaxing. The building is easy to find, and they have a parking lot. The check-in and wait was quick. There's a pen cup with breasts on it, and the pink pens are super cute. There's only one paper to fill out if you've done the online registration beforehand. Then you go to a room with a nurse and go thru some details (family history etc). She takes you to a small dressing room where you get into a gown and put your stuff in a cute, secure locker. Here's the only drawback: The gown ties in the middle so you have to clutch it closed or your chest will be exposed in the waiting room. Also, the gown doesn't have pockets, so there's no place to put your locker key. (I tucked mine in my bun bc I was wearing leggings that didn't have pockets.) NOTE FOR FUTURE SELF: Bring 2 pins, one to close top of gown for waiting room and walking around between rooms, the second to pin your locker key to your gown or pants (or wear pants or a skirt with pockets). Or wear one of those wrist/armbands with a small pocket (for running or hiking or whatever). I had a sonogram then a 3D mammography. The care was gentle and, well, caring. You get your results before you leave, so no stressing out waiting. 110% recommend MBC! PS: To the reviewer who didn't get an appointment bc THEY didn't call HER to make an appointment? Like, that's not even a thing. (Also, no friends, only 1 review, and created her account in January just to post this negative review, even tho she lives in San Francisco? Looks like her review is the bad apple in the bunch.) OH YEAH, I have to mention they took my insurance and I just had a $xx copay. When I first found this place I was worried it would be out-of-pocket and I wouldn't be able to afford it. If you're nervous, don't be. Just go!

Upon arriving a week later, I was told they don't do ultrasound appointments on this day of the week. And now, for the x-ray, after waiting over 40 min, I checked in with the front desk person and was told the tech hasn't arrived yet. It's 9:35 AM. Still waiting, writing this review to warn others that this place organizationally does not have it together.

The front office was extremely crowded and hot, and I had to stand for approximately 30 minutes before I was able to check in. It appeared that there was not enough staff available to handle the volume of patients. While waiting, I witnessed several other patients expressing frustration about the long wait as well. On a positive note, Sharon, the mammography technician, was professional, compassionate, and made me feel comfortable throughout the appointment. Let's just say that I was on the phone 30 minutes and the person I spoke to was a complete incompetent. (I'm actually being nice.) I kept asking her for an appointment at the Nutley location yet she was giving Brooklyn, Clifton... anywhere but Nutley. Finally found it when I gave her the complete address to look for and she gave me an appointment for Friday at 5 pm. Next, she gave me the wrong pre-visit instructions and when I told her that she made a mistake she told me to hold on. Then she came back with a different appointment time which was 5:45. I said it was fine. But next thing you know when she was confirming it was for a different day as well. She still hadn't addressed the pre- visit instructions and at this point I told her I had to go and didn't make the appointment. I lost my patience... and I have a lot of patience in general so that's saying a lot. So appointment seekers beware..... you might have a great phone experience or have the experience I had. I'm going to have to call back and hopefully I get someone who actually knows what they are doing.
