Take a mechanic and/or a scan tool with you. Look at the underbody for rusted frame. Check to see if the oil is cloudy. There are a lot of checks you can do on the lot before driving. Check Edmunds reviews to check reliability of the the year and model of that specific car, some years are ok, others have badv engines. I have purchased several cars from Austin's, most good, a few duds, but with the duds, i bought emotionally, without using the previous suggesions. Do your homework! There are many repeat customers at Austin's, and most are not posting on yelp.

During the contract signing, they also sold us a repair "warranty" for $2,500, which we are still paying for.
