This business has had different owners and different names throughout the years, but every time I visit, I enjoy myself. My recent visit came because I do business in the area and the timing was right for lunch. They offered a nachos special and I was ready to give it a try. I entered the pub and selected a seat in a booth back and away from the majority of the other patrons. Nothing against the others, but sometimes I like to dine alone. I ordered my drink, and the Tuesday Nachos Special ($5). Service was pretty quick and soon I was devouring my meal. A side of hot peppers was added to the nachos to turn up the heat and I heartily ate everything to maintain my membership in the Clean Plate Club®. I was anxious to try this place because I'd read some good reviews but it didn't wow me. In fact, it didn't impress any of the three of us. The atmosphere was decent for a bar and grill but the food was nothing to write home about. Before our meals came, we ordered breaded mushrooms. We were given a fair share and they were tasty. For my meal, I ordered a burger and hand cut fries. The burger was dry and lacked flavor and the fries were overcooked and just not good tasting. My friends were also disappointed in their meals of pulled pork and quesadilla. Unfortunately this place is a "no" for us! read more

Oh my! So glad while picking up an RX at Sam's club we didn't opt for the $1 hot dog deal! Such a great find. We like to try and always do local business when possible. Sometimes you can't, like getting my meds from Sam's but sure glad we opted for local food! Husband had the military burger and fries! He's taking 1/2 the burger for tomorrow. I had the Rubestrami. Think Rueben with corned beef and pastrami! The rye was grilled perfectly; kraut and meat hot. Not just thrown on to get out the door. Had side salad with the house made ranch --. So good. We had a great visit in Port Huron and Conner Street Pub helped make it even better. The ice cold drinks really cooled us down on a hot day. The food was excellent - everything we ordered had a lot of flavor. We had the meatball appetizers - and these meatballs were huge! For our entrees I tried the fish and chips, my wife had the pulled pork burger. The fish and chips were cooked perfectly and I love the fact they had malt vinegar for my fries - yum! My wife was nice enough to give me a bite of her pulled pork burger - it was pretty amazing! We really enjoyed this pub and can't wait to come back! read more

I've eaten at Conner Street Pub serval times, but for dinner and with a larger group. Each time the food and drinks have been very good. The only reason this is not 5/5 is that the price of food is a slightly high for a pub/bar. read more

First time going to this restaurant. Heard good things about it. We sat down (seat yourself) and two employees walked past our booth a multiple times. They didn't acknowledge us until we called for there attention. I think that was my own fault though since I was wearing a camouflage coat.. Practically invisible. Also if you visit in the winter it's about 60 degrees in the pub. Wear some warm clothes. !! Food was good. Egg rolls were different and I would get them again. Got my money's worth with the ultimate nachos !! Black and bleu burger was very good as well. I will return. Hopefully with faster service next time. read more

It was lunch hour, and the nearest restaurant while on my way home from the south end of Port Huron was Conner Street Pub. The atmosphere for CSP was pretty decent and could have been just a bit better, which is the reason I will give this a four-star rating. The food was outstanding, and the service was pretty quick and attentive during lunch hour. I had the Polish Platter special, which comes with pierogis, kielbasa and sauerkraut, and stuffed cabbage rolls (with a side of garlic toast). In my personal opinion, it was delicious! Because I tend to dine there as a regular, the burgers there are also excellent. I am hoping the restaurant continues the great work with the service and the food quality. This is a rather enjoyable place to eat. They took a dive bar from the past and made it a nice eatery near the St. Clair River. They have very tasty appetizers (the reuben egg rolls are my favorite). I really enjoy their burgers. They have good lunch specials like their nachos. Their BBQ entrees are tasty. It's in a location off the beaten path so often times is not too busy, and they offer seating outside. I used to work a few blocks away and went there more often, but on occasion I like to stop in. The food has not disappointed me yet. And so far the staff have been friendly and accommodating. It's the pub in Port Huron that I enjoy most. Food and service quality to me beats out Lynch's which caters more to 20 and 30 something beer snobs. If you want good pub food and drinks without other pretentious patrons, stop in. The house-smoked pastrami keeps me coming back - there is no greater sandwich in the area. A true work of art. People I've dined with have enjoyed their burgers and pulled-pork nachos. Our first visit to Conner Street Pub and it was really good. There were four of us and we shared the artichoke spinach dip. Probably one of the best we have ever had. The guys had burgers and they both loved them! Classic burger and pastrami burger. The girls had chicken dinners one ordered chicken piccata, it was good but the chicken was a tad over cooked but still tasty. The other was the southern fried chicken breast with Mac and cheese. Went in on Friday April 7th around 6p. Place wasn't overly full. We sat ourselves right away. Took a few minutes to get our waitress to arrive. Gave our beer order and waited. And waited. And waited. Took close to 20 minutes to get our beer. Waitress said it was due to their computer system being down. News flash, you can pour my beer and enter the sale later! I have eaten here 4 times. I am picking my way around the menu. I think some things, like the pastrami sandwich are really good. The comfort bowl I probably won't do again. I never went when it was Jacks. It had a bad reputation for being rough. The place seems clean, and I have a couple go to dishes. It is on my rotation for lunch. Not really a dinner spot for me but it could be for some. I will agree that service can be slow but usually when I have been there the bar tender is doing everything. The speed has been a little annoying in two of my four visits. Overall a decent place. It is still on my list. read more

Tuesday I took my wife to the Conner Street Pub. It is an older building can of old dive bar feel. My wife had the Bar Burger that wasn't too bad for her. I had the Pastrami burger that was awesome. The burger was so big I could barely finish it. The food is 5 star. But the 5 star rating I couldn't give. The fries where cold and greasy from the deep fryer. I think the oil wasn't up to temp. I was so hopeful for this place and it totally let me down!! While the salt and pepper fries were really good, it ends there. The burgers had no flavor and the pulled pork was dry and barely had any barbecue sauce in it. The coleslaw taste plain, like it comes out of a large tub bought from Gordon's and my vegetables were definitely frozen and they were brought to me barely Luke warm.
