    3 Piece Fish & Chips

We had the fish and chips, and cheese curds for our appetizer. The cheese curds are phenomenal and so was my dessert, the Guinness chocolate cake. The fish and chips are nothing special. The service felt really rushed, and this place is loud. A couple seated gave us their table and left because of how loud it was. No Irish music playing just a really tiny loud place. We probably wouldn't go back because it's just not for us.

We scouted out this sweet Irish pub in Franklin to celebrate my daughter's 24th birthday. We found it to be a quaint, relaxed atmosphere and as we sat to look at our surroundings and the creative menu, we felt as though we had stepped into a local pub in Ireland. Just fun. We each ordered something different for our meals and I ordered an appetizer for the table. Wow! Those corned beef & cabbage eggs rolls were the best egg rolls I have ever had. And the curds were wow! Our drinks were kept filled, food came out hot and quickly. Our server was kind. DELICIOUS food. We can't wait to come back, maybe for a live music or game night!

We stopped in for snacks on a busy Saturday afternoon. We shared the loaded kettle chips and egg rolls. Service was ok. She came to take our order quickly and things came out pretty fast. But it was slow to get drink refills. The food was fine, too. The kettle chips were pretty good. They had a lot of toppings. We added hot sauce to give them more punch. Highly recommend. The egg rolls could be good. They come with a mustard, which is a nice choice. But the shell was soggy and chewy. The filling was really yummy, though. Nice location right in the middle of everything. This place is worthy of a stop, if you're looking for something quick and easy. But I wouldn't make it a destination.

Although staff was extremely attentive and helpful, I got sick from the food. Ordered a fish and chips. I thought the fish seemed undercooked and slimy, but still ate it because I second guessed my instincts and thought I was just overly hot/thirsty. The batter was fully cooked, so I assumed the fish was too. But it did taste odd, which made me think later that the fish itself was bad. Within an hour I was clammy and threw up. I was much worse the next day. And remained sick from a "parasite" for the next 10 days. (Yes, this was confirmed from the 3 dr's visits and medical tests that were completed)

It's a small place so you'd expect good service but Brandy, wow. Ask for Brandy. She is the one. We started with beer cheese on homemade chips. Bacon, chives, sour crème but check menu for details. I forgot the pic and they were gone pretty quickly. A Rueben was ordered as was the Fat Irishman's Burger. Served on a pretzel bun I ordered medium and it was perfect. The "Old Man" has been on a Reuben hunt and said it was among the best he's had here in TN. If your after draught beer pick your favorite Irish brand first. That's what you'll get. There are many Irish fare menu items, again check the menu, to choose from. For me, the cherry on top is it's a locally owned family business. I will be back to try the other 879,things I saw I thought about.

I visited McCreary's randomly with my family (large group of 7) and immediately were seated. The staff were a bit rude towards my dad as they cleaned off the tables while he was speaking to us about where we were sitting and one of the waitresses snapped at him saying "just give us a second to clean." We were all just waiting patiently because it's a tight restaurant with no standing area. The rest of our visit, the waitstaff were quick and pleasant. I had ordered a Red and Gold (Smithwicks and Woodchuck) which was really good! I also ordered the bangers and mash with a cup of clam chowder. The Bangers and Mash were disappointing in both presentation and flavor. There was no gravy on the bangers which was really strange for an Irish pub. Instead, it came with horseradish sauce which was good but usually bangers come with onion gravy or beans and it came with neither. The sliced cheese was a little random and unnecessary, I think. The mashed potatoes were really good! The soda bread was the best I've ever had (haven't had much but I've never actually enjoyed soda bread until our visit). I wish I could have bought a whole loaf, it was that good. The clam chowder was delicious but super buttery which coated the top layer of the soup. Still, very good. All of my family enjoyed their meals, I was the only one that was disappointed in my choice (which is why gave 4 stars instead of 3...if it was just me, it would be a 3). My husband's cottage pie was amazing and I was definitely envious (except for the random slice of cheese on top)! (*note, I LOVE cheese, but the slices were throwing me off). My dad ordered the fish and chips which he really enjoyed, my aunt had a baked potato and was satisfied, and my grandma had ordered a sandwich and love it. The two others in our group had a large bowl of clam chowder and fries. My step-mom raved about the fries. So really, I was the only one that wasn't as happy with my order but everyone else was happy with their choices. Would I go back? Yes, but never for their bangers and mash that lacked onion gravy.

Great ambience, great food and drinks. We visited for St Patrick's Day and had a blast!

This is a cute little pub that we visited in this quaint little town. As soon as we came in, we had a very nice server and he said us down and quickly brought us some menus and asked what we wanted to drink. Unfortunately, we were not beer drinkers, but they seem to have a large variety of alcohol options. Once I looked on Yelp and saw that they had the Reuben as an option, I knew that I had to go there. The taste was phenomenal and the fries were extremely hot so be weary. The service was very quick and prices are reasonable.

Food is amazing, service is good considering the number of guests. Great location on 414 main in downtown Franklin. Our favorite when we are in town.

One of the best gems of the Nashville/Franklin area!! McCreary's is such a fun environment with friendly staff, great food, and amazing deals. I recommend going for lunch around 2:30-3 PM, and then staying for 2-4-1 drafts starting at 3! Absolutely get the fish and chips entree and the loaded tots for an app! Also check out special events they hold, like their Saint Patrick's Day celebration!

First, the atmosphere is pretty spot-on in terms of capturing the ambiance of a public house. We've dined here numerous times when visiting Nashville/Franklin, and I'd say that service is usually reliable but seating is at a premium. The staff has always been friendly and thorough. The food is always reliably tasty and well prepared. It's pub fair so don't expect anything fancy, but you'll leave with a satisfied belly and palate. I'd say definitely give this place a try if you're in Franklin and there's a table available. I wouldn't wait more than 15 minutes to eat here though. There are other places with more seating and similar food without a long wait.

Crispy, flavorful, and bringing just enough heat to remind you that you're alive without requiring a fire extinguisher. For lunch, I went with a classic Irish go-to, the Fish & Chips. I was hesitant to order, by the name of it. I thought it may be too spicy, but it's not spicy at all. It has the best flavor, and I have to admit I order the salad sometimes just because I have such a craving for that yummy dressing. I've never had anything like it, anywhere else. The grilled cheese sandwich is different too. It's served on Challah bread with garlic butter. It has bacon, roasted tomatoes, sharp cheddar cheese, and avocado. I wouldn't normally order a grilled cheese at restaurants, but I look forward to eating this one! My friend ordered the garlic bread appetizer for us, which was good too. It was Sourdough bread with garlic, basil, and extra virgin olive oil. It was served with house-made marinara. The marinara made me wish I had more of it and some pasta to serve it on. We finished our meal off with crème brûlée. Yum! I've never ordered anything at this place, and it not be delicious. I hope I can eventually venture out on the menu, because I'm sure every item I try will not disappoint. To add, if you want really good service in a very nice atmosphere, go here.
