Every time we've needed tree work, we've gathered multiple quotes--and Cleartree has always been the most affordable or very close to it. But what truly sets them apart is their professionalism, efficiency, and care for the property. This time around, we had some routine yard maintenance and one large pine tree removed due to excessive moisture damage. Their quote was very reasonable, and they got us scheduled within just a couple of weeks. From start to finish, communication was excellent. I received a confirmation text the day before, along with helpful instructions for prepping the area (moving vehicles, etc.). Their crew showed up early--trucks were waiting by 7:50 AM for an 8:00 start--and right on time, the foreman knocked on the door, walked through the plan, and confirmed all the details before getting started. By 8:10 AM, they were working on the 40-50 ft tree, and by 8:40, it was safely down--without so much as a branch touching anything else. Shortly after, they ground the stump and leveled the area so well that if it weren't for the fresh soil, you'd never know a tree had been there. Not only did they protect the yard using plates for the skid steer, but they also raked up every last branch and twig from the pruning and takedown process. Honestly, the yard looked cleaner when they left than when they arrived. By 11:30 AM, they were wrapped up--just in time for the incoming storms. I have to say that working with Mr. Gibbs and Springwood Gardens turned out to be a good experience. He came for a look at the property, gave me an estimate and made some observations as to what more needed to be done, suggesting that a failing tree be removed, and offering to include it in the price he quoted me for the original job, which was to cut back the many ornamental grasses that line portions of my property and to prune a line of shrubs. A day or so later the trimming and pruning job was done. It took just a few hours and the cuttings were hauled off and everything cleaned up just as promised. Took a week and a half or so for the second part of the job to be taken care of, which was the tree removal. It wasn't a big priority, so the wait was not an inconvenience. That day both Mr. Gibbs and his team were present for the job, and I was impressed with how quickly and efficiently the work was done. In addition to those jobs, the owner offered three extra services that he included in the agreed-upon price that added additional value to my purchase. He had some left over mulch from another job that he offered me. It was enough to refresh one bed. And while the crew was there he asked my permission to have them do two other jobs--prune the shrubs in my front bed, and clean up the leaves in the front yard. I said yes, of course, and all the jobs were done to perfection. So, essentially, he killed two birds with one stone: he kept everybody on his team busy with useful jobs and made sure that he gave me added value. That's what a good businessman does, and I find it commendable. This initial experience has left me open do to doing more business with Springwood in the future. In terms of pricing, they aren't the lowest priced landscape business around, but neither are they the most expensive. I know because earlier in the season I got two quotes from two other businesses. One was outlandishly high, the other offered me a quote that required I buy a package deal that included jobs I didn't want done. Regardless of my appeals, the estimator would not budge off their bottom line, which was too high based on the work I wanted done. I was baffled at their level of inflexibility. I won't be calling them back. Mr. Gibbs, on the other hand, was flexible and helpful in working out what needed doing, and went above and beyond to make sure everything happened right.

I was so upset today that I had to pay another company to remove the weed! it was ridiculous! He did this last November! He removed the ground cover and gravel that I had laid back in 2022! It sickens me that he took advantage of me in this way. He took the wooden edging, a flower box and killed a hosta plant that I had for many years. He even took the pot that I had it in! I never asked him to do any of this. I only wanted an estimate of what I needed done. How dare him to start working and discarded all the work I had done years previously! I don't know how much a Creep Myrtle cost, but that is dead too. I should have sued him at the time. Don't know if I can still bring a lawsuit?

The owner answers your call and calls you back when needed. That is not something I have experienced often. Big company with 'treats you like family' appeal. Both jobs completed were exactly what I wanted and needed. The after work clean up is great! I enjoyed watching to experts work, it was like a well oiled machine the way the team worked together. I am sure this is the company I will use in the future. Highly recommend.

I had carved out time to make sure I was home at the times of the appointment, but nothing. Strange considering the decent reviews, but my experience was that the person was completely unreliable and unprofessional. Till now, no answer or explanation. Just got ghosted. I would not recommend him to anyone who values their time. That was weird. Shrug. Moving on.
