I am from out of town and was looking for a dentist to do a tooth extraction for an infected tooth. I found them through a Google search, and 100% would recommend! They got me in right away and were extremely affordable, even without dental insurance. Actually, less expensive than my regular dentist, but with a higher quality of care and 3D x-rays, which identified dental issues I hadn't been made aware of. I have been to quite a few dentists over the years (4 different ones) and Harvest Dental is by far the best. I am from New York, and I was nervous selecting a dentist in Yuma being unfamiliar with the area. I can say with confidence that I am extremely satisfied with my experience at this office. From the moment you walk in the staff is friendly, and accommodating. The dental assistants work efficiently and with a smile, Dr McDonald is great at what she does. The ladies at the front desk are very helpful and kind. I highly recommend this office to anyone, and especially military dependents as they accept United Concordia insurance! read more

First time patient there, and just got back from wasting $110 on a pointless visit. They knew in advance that it was regarding a root canal and that I was in pain, and I even had my Canadian dentist email them the x-rays from 3 weeks ago in advance, which identified the problem (unfortunately he could not do it as we were leaving for Yuma for the winter). After re-examining me and taking new xrays they advised me of what I already knew, and let me know that they do not do root canals and provided me with another dentist to go to. They then expected me to return to them for the crown which would be required, to the tune of $1100 read more

Moved to Yuma recently, going to the same dentist for more than 10yrs made me a little nervous because I have sensitive teeth so my old Dr knew me.... I was welcomed as soon as I walked into her office, I forgot the nice lady's name but the front office was very friendly and accommodating. I sat down filled out my new patient paperwork and about 5 minutes later I was called to the back by my new hygienist, Pedro, he introduced himself and took me for X-rays and off to the exam room we went, he was so gentle and was chatting with me when my mouth was not open... lol! He did his work so well and before I knew it he said " well how does your mouth feel, we are done". I was amazed. He then went over a few things with me and said he would be right back with the Dr.. within 3 min he had Dr in toe!! She came in and introduced herself and asked some questions and she went right to work and again no pain! She went over my treatment plan and asking me questions to get to know me, what a wonderful dental experience I had! If you need a good dentist look no farther!! January 31 appointment. Been waiting for 40mins now. They said will have to wait for 15mins more or so.. They didn't even inform me that there would be a delay with my apointment. This also happened in my previous checkup. I just don't have a choice going here because it's an emergency. They don't value patient's time at all. Too bad. read more

I made an appointment by telephone at this dental clinic in Yuma, Arizona, to have my teeth cleaned for which the receptionist told me twice that the total charge for the cleaning would be $125. One week later, during that appointment, a young male (about 22 years old) dental hygienist cleaned my teeth, using an electronic device for 60% of the cleaning and 40% by hand cleaning without that electric device, followed by teeth polishing. Afterward, a dentist (the owner of the dental clinic) examined my teeth, which took only five minutes. No x-rays were taken during my appointment. When it came to paying the bill for my appointment, instead of being charged $125, the receptionist charged me $155--thirty dollars more than what she told me when I made the appointment. I told the receptionist that the price I was quoted was $125. She replied that the price was a firm $155. I reluctantly paid the bill with my VISA card. The receptionist offered me no apology, and I left the dental clinic very upset. Three weeks later, feeling somehow that my teeth cleaning at the dental clinic was unsatisfactory, I decided to have a dentist (NOT a dental hygienist) clean my teeth. That appointment also included bite wing x-rays, teeth polishing, and a dental exam. While cleaning my teeth using an electronic device 100% of the time , the dentist told me, "You have a lot of tartar on your teeth." I said, "I just had my teeth cleaned three weeks ago by a dental hygienist at another clinic. Is it possible that my teeth would accumulate so much tartar in just three weeks?" "Impossible!" he said. I paid that dentist's receptionist for my appointment, then returned to the office where the dental hygienist cleaned and polished my teeth. The receptionist there told me that she had made an error in overcharging me $30, but "I refunded that amount on your VISA statement, " she said. I returned home and checked my VISA card statement online; it showed no refund of $30 . I returned to the dental clinic and told the receptionist that I wanted to speak with the Office Manager about my problems described above, but she the manager was at lunch. Two hours later, I returned again to that dental office, and spoke with the Office Manager, who apologized for what happened to me at the dental clinic. I asked for a full refund of the $155 that I had paid her receptionist with my VISA card, and the Office Manager promised to do so. One week later, she sent me a check for $155. But I would NEVER return to that dental office again. Why? Three reasons: 1. The dental hygienist did a very poor teeth cleaning. 2. The receptionist overcharged me $30 for that appointment. 3. The receptionist lied to me that she refunded the $30 on my VISA card statement. read more

I would gladly refer anyone to this Dentist--prices are reasonable, care is excellent & Dr. McDonald is fantastic!
