Fast forward two weeks later (today July 12th) no refund. I spoke to the manager whom stated that she will need to speak to Mia to confirm that I did cancel my swim lessons. I asked why she would need a confirmation if I have never attended the swim lessons. There was no record on file that I ever messaged about cancelling classes. Although , I requested Mia to cancel in June 28th.  They stated that they will "try to process a payment within 24-48hrs" if Mia agrees that I called to cancel my classes. LA fitness & this company that works together has terrible communication with its clients. There's no record keeping of information and conversation.Few hour after I got off the phone with the manager. Mia calls me to ask me "what is my story " I stated that I would like a refund and that I messaged her several times about my refund. I have called customer service and they assured me that they are working on a refund. She stated that she will work on refunding July payment but she will have to confirm Junes payment first. I explained again that I have never attended swim lessons and I am no longer interested. I would like a refund.I have called my bank to dispute the charges.I will update this review if they do refund ..I would like to advise STAY AWAY from this business. Poor management , lack of communication ,lack of documentation , no sympathy ..and the list can go on and on.. The instructors switched out constantly and although they seemed to be nice people, none of them were effective at actually teaching children how to swim. If you want a small area of a pool for your child to get used to the water, sure spend your money here; though you also could just swim around with them yourself for free. If you want your child to actually learn any basics about swimming, let alone actually swim, look elsewhere.

I also took part in youth water polo off and on. I started working here in Spring 2007 when I was 14 years old and worked here until August 2012, amounting to a little under 6 years, taking on various roles. Working at a pool while also using it for lap swim, rentals, open (recreation) swim, swim team, and water polo provides a well-rounded view of the pool setting. I went from cleaner to lifeguard and swim instructor to senior lifeguard and swim instructor to assistant swim coach and swim instructor. Being a cleaner, yes we even got to clean the locker rooms and wash the floors and scrub the toilets, was an eye opening experience as to the daily upkeep required in the operations and maintenance of a pool. Lifeguarding and teaching swim lessons here were more relaxed than the other pools I worked at (The Dale Turner Family YMCA and Evans Pool for the City of Seattle) and it is not one of the pools I made a rescue at. From a lifeguard perspective that is truly a testament to how well run/operated the pool is. Typically the pool is seasonal, opening in late Spring and closing closer to the end of Summer. However, this year the pool it trying some things out and expanding its open dates for lap swimming and hosting a high school swim team and a club swim team for their practices. Fun to drive past the pool in February and still see people in the pool. Fortunately Innis Arden pool is a heated pool, so even if the weather is 30 or 40 degrees Fahrenheit outside the pool remains a comparatively balmy 79-85 degrees. I have swam in non-heated pools in 30 and 40 degree weather and that is a brutal experience and takes a toll on my system. So relish the comparative luxury of a heated pool! I love the pool layout, though I cannot speak of the locker rooms/office as they have been remodeled since I worked here and my family has chosen to go without a pool membership for about a decade. Locker rooms and the office are located between the fenced pool deck and a grassy field. A parking lot extends one length and end of the pool. On the side of the pool opposite to the parking lot is the Innis Arden Clubhouse which can be used for swim-related events on occasion. The pool deck is a couple to a few inches taller than the pool water level and has a coarse-grained texture which is perfect for preventing slippage on deck especially when one is dripping wet. There was a rickety slide and a diving board when we still had a membership. When people weren't using the slide it was fun to see how long we could last with our heads under the water cascading down and off the slide. Cold water ran to coat the slide so that when we used the slide we did not get stuck to it sliding down, no swimsuit wedgie is good with me :).

The woman who we learned was Kaylie was standing around on her phone that whole time until she came over and started the lesson late. We filled out your intake forms sharing information about swimming background and goals, but it didn't seem like Kaylie read them, so we rushed to share experience and goals while the student was getting in the water. The lesson itself didn't cover anything new for the student. Kaylie then rushed to end the lesson on time, despite starting over a few minutes late, which is significant for a single 15 minute lesson. The student didn't learn anything and was rushed out of the pool. We understand it was our first time, but feeling stressed about our lesson was starting late and getting shorter than the 15 minutes we paid for was very frustrating. We had similar negative experiences on subsequent attempts to give this place a shot. Do not recommend, especially not Kaylie McRea.

We enjoyed the expansive family changing areas, different and a great surprise. Lockers are available, too for use while swimming in the large pool. The pool was separated in half. One half was composed of four lap lanes; good signage for those wishing to swim slow, medium or fast. The second half was also split in half, creating two smaller, square pools, one shallow (2-4 feet) the other deeper (4-5 feet). The shallow side held a water structure, shaped like a mushroom, that showered upon the kids splashing and playing in the area. (To turn this feature on, a lifeguard must be notified.) In order to be free to swim in the deep end (where there is a tube slide, which wasn't in use during our visit), one must prove to the lifeguards competency and skill - jump far enough in to hold your head underwater, swim the length of the pool without resting or stopping, and float or tread water for 30 seconds. This is a great tool for encouraging up-coming swimmers, as well as keeping people safe. Well done! After our swim session, our friends gave us a little tour of the class spaces, gymnasium, workout machines, free coffee/tea/hot cocoa, and kids/teen play and hang out spaces. It's a great facility and we look forward to coming back!

The facility is clean and well maintained. 2. Sauna rooms are fully functional at all hours and appears to be clean & hygienic 3. Location is very central to Lynnwood and in a prime square with many popular restaurants around it. I have never seen any wrong sort of person ever around the gym even at 11pm in the night. I feel safe accessing the gym round the clock. 4. The self training open space is always clean and never too crowded that you would not find a spot. 5. Variety of equipment is sufficient in my opinion but then again, I do not use a lot of the equipment, so my judgement may not be accurate. 5. In general, folks using the gym are well mannered and mind their own business. I have never personally had or witnessed any conflict. Couple of things that could be better - 1. More training mats. There are a limited number of mats and sometimes hard to find and the ones they have are extremely dirty and torn. They must be replaced asap. Carry your own yoga mat if you can. 2. Lighter dumbbells and kettlebells is always hard to find. They stock very less of those. They should increase more equipment between 5lbs to 15lbs for both equipment. Overall, good place to workout with extended hours daily 5am - 11pm and even staying open on most public holidays for fairly reasonable hours. Pretty satisfied at this time with this gym.

Spectating had a unique set-up for the northern division pools. One could stand on the pool and watch, but there was also a multi-level building with a balcony one could stand on as well as a bleacher area by a grassy lawn located up some stairs from the pool deck. The grassy area might not have been huge, but it was large enough to have some space to spread out during dual meets. During division-wide/league-wide meets (such as prelims, Northern Division, or All-City), the space was more cramped, but still large enough to get a small area. Concessions and ribbons were housed upstairs at the building, which was nice especially on dreary days. Restrooms were on the bottom level of the building and could be reached from stairs by the building or via the pool deck. The pool was on the cooler side and had slippery tiles. That was something our coaches emphasized for us to practice during warm-up - turns without slipping. Parking near the building was quick to go during meets, so getting to the pool tended to include a bit of a walk. Though, since that was the norm, it was easy to plan ahead.
