Sadly, after i picked up my mug and took it home to have a cup of tea, it cracked when the hot (not even boiling) water was added. When I called and explained what it happened the person at the store just said that that "sometimes happens with pottery" and "the only way I could've avoided this was to get the stoneware glaze". They did not offer to have me come back in and redo a new mug. None of this was explained to me when I was choosing the glazed selections for my mug or when I picked up the mug. I knew one of the glaze that I picked was not food safe, but I was careful to put it on the outside. When I picked up the mug after firing, there was no paper insert with care instructions. So I guess I'll be going to a different pottery place to replace the mug at my own expense and asking more questions like "can I put tea in this tea cup?" next time. One star for spending $32 plus tax on a mug that broke before I could enjoy it and that no longer holds liquid. Buyer beware.

I looked over different papers and found variety in patterns, textures, and thickness. I was looking for paper to make a couple Easter cards and found a few I liked. I went with two patterned papers that were double sided (different pattern on front and back). I also went with a firecracker red and a textured white. The plain colors were for me to cut out flower shapes in the spirit of the holiday. My total for all four pieces of paper came to $5.67 and my cash payment method was accepted.

Not just that, but the sketching supplies, calligraphy, paint brushes(especially Princetons, shocking that the Princeton brushes are wiped out completely except for maybe a handful of brushes, but all the cheaper ones like W&N Cotman & Artist's Loft were in supply a-plenty. I know that's not the employees fault, plus we DID just have Black Friday & Christmas, and New Years sales so maybe that's why it was wiped out (just havent gotten a shipment in yet I hope?). I'm hoping to come back in the future after a while and see if it's fully stocked again, or if that poor store just never gets to new shipments in of their painting supplies. I found out about Alley Bell Music in my local moms group on fb. I never thought my baby would be…read moreold enough to engage in a music class but I'm so glad we took a chance. We joined for a mixed ages demo class in the summer with Ms. Elizabeth (she was wonderful!) At 4 months my son was the youngest one there, and I didn't know what to expect but he was so engaged and interested in seeing the other kids dance and sing. We signed up for the babies class (0-8 months) for the fall semester and he was 5 months when it started. We are about to wrap up this semester and I only have great things to say. The babies class is small, with 5 babies max in a class. It's very clean and Covid protocol is taken into consideration where everyone needs to show proof of vaccination. Ms. Sarah brings a warm energy with prompts to engage our babies through music and play. Sometimes it's an instrument to play music with, interact with silk scarves, dancing for your baby, and more. My son loves the drums. As a first time mom I highly recommend Music Together. It's a great way to play and connect with your baby through songs, have social exposure to other babies, and meet other parents, I even made a great mom friend! I really love how kids can continue taking these classes into their preschool years and learn new original songs with special instruments for the semester highlighted in the songs.
