Popcorn chicken and waffle fries for my guys and for me a Chicken Caesar cool wrap with "grilled" chicken. Requested crispy chicken modification and was denied, they can not substitute. What?!? How hard an ask is that?! Apparently not allowed. We were given a plastic table tent and sat down indoors. As we sat I got to look around a bit. They have coloring for kids as well as a cute "Sit with the cow" program. Scan the QR code and you get to have the cow sit with you at your table. Fun idea. Our food arrived in a timely manner and boy did we time it right. While eating the line for dining in went out the door. After that wave another Sunami came through, two athletic teams from UMFC arrived. First their baseball team then 10 minutes later their soccer team arrived. Talk about popular. So now for the quality of the food. The p popcorn chicken were really good. No sauce needed. The waffle fries were delicious, crispy in the outside and soft I. The inside. Now for the wrap, not so great. As you will see, where's the chicken?? Looks more like deli meat than real grilled chicken. It was a dry sandwich to boot. Thankfully you get a sauce to go with, ranch for me. I ate the whole thing with the help of the sauce. Lemonade was good. The reason the substitution was not acceptable, it's pre made in a sealed plastic container. Not really sure what the hype is about this place, maybe it's the service from start to finish, maybe it's the atmosphere that makes you feel welcome, or maybe they have a favorite that keeps them coming back. I was looking at him and he saw me and again failed horribly at customer service not once but four times at least. I doubt he just started this attitude. 5. And he stopped work to help a female employee. But he failed to handle the grease spot he did put his foot on it and look at it but that was it. The other frustrated guest told me after the dining room issue after i said to him that the whole kitchen floor was full of grease. 5. He did not ask if i was okay when i told him i slipped and almost fell. I pointed out to said other guest my shoes were non slip dr martens. Nick blew off my comment after he put his foot on the spot. 6. If Nick is the manager might i suggest firing him but first privately ask the employees about him privately. Delicious. The person at the register clearly knows how to pull a great shot and make a beautiful beverage. However, we had a really odd interaction while ordering. Without any prompting from us, the barista launched into a strange, unsolicited lecture about whether a Café Mocha is Italian or American, speaking to us as if we had never had coffee outside of the U.S. It was especially baffling given that we've visited Italy numerous times. We didn't ask for the history lesson, and being talked down to for no reason definitely left a sour note on an otherwise lovely visit. The bottom line: Absolutely come here for the cozy space and the high-quality drinks. Just hope the person at the register decides to skip the coffee trivia and just make the amazing drinks they clearly know how to make.
