Two words: don't bother. Half of the time, it's closed early, with no option to go inside to place your order in person. You must place your order online and then pick up a bag of food that may not be to your liking. The meat is dry, the sides are put on slop like and it is not done with any care. This restaurant is such a ripoff that you should save your money for the following reasons. 1. The quality is terrible. When you get your order and pay these outrageous prices for undercooked rice or barely any protein or hard things in it. 2. The order system sucks so much that when you'd expect to receive extra of something or less of something else what you actually get when you get home is a mystery and on top of it if you complain to the manager for a refund "you can't" so your stuck with the garage food no matter what happens. 3. I was hesitant to come to this location based on the reviews. I have visited other locations( SoPo, Auburn, Westbrook) and based on those three a while back , I never wanted to step foot into another Chipotle ( bad service, limited food/ no food), no toppings/ lacking toppings, front door closed with no sign, drive thru only etc. Don't give up is my motto and here I am at the Bangor location for lunch. Staff was great, there was plenty of food and the team was all working hard in keeping the line moving. Ingredients were fresh and plenty of it with kitchen staff keeping it replenish. I ordered from this chipotle through Uber eats once I arrived to my hotel. I had gotten comfortable and situated in my room and in my pj's. The order came relatively fast, but there were no utensils in it. I specifically stated that I was in a hotel room and would have expected there to be a fork in the order. Went to this location 3 days ago. Ordered on the app to find out when I got there at my estimated time that they were 30 mins behind the order pickup times. Had to call Chipotle and get my order refunded because they can't do it in store, and I didn't have time to wait for my food. Went today again to give it another try. Walked in to find they were only doing mobile orders. If anything they should shut mobile ordering off and do just in restaurant orders. Anyways, Placed my order on the app, waited well past the time it was supposed to be done to find out my order never went through, even though it said order confirmed in the app. Placed a new order and waiting almost an hour for my food between the two orders I placed. Multiple people were having the same issue, and they were writing their orders down on paper and filling them ahead of placed orders. That didn't happen for me, I had to wait the full time. I love Chipotle's food and the quality is pretty consistent from location to location. If anything, this one's kitchen was on the high end of the average. Tasty! They can only rise or fall based on quality of service and overall cleanliness, so here's my assessment on those factors. The service is OK. Staff members aren't rude or anything, but they're not responsive to questions. Where this location fails is on cleanliness. No effort whatsoever is made to wipe down the tables, so when you sit down, you're on your own if you want a clean space. It's hard to get a good photo because the tables are shiny, but literally every table in the restaurant is dirty with crumbs, spills, and smeared food. Having said all this, the shift manager was very pleasant and I'm wondering if he's just understaffed. I would love to be able to give this place a five star rating, but they definitely could improve in terms of cleanliness and service. read more

This location has been a consistent disappointment over the last few years. Just tried ordering through the app, and once again, it said this location was not taking mobile orders. I went in several weeks ago, and the sign on the door said they weren't taking in-store orders or allowing dining in, only on-line. Seriously! Customers standing in front of you should take precedence to mobile orders. I can no longer count the times I've ordered a salad on the app, gotten home and there's no dressing. And yes, I ordered it. I'd also say 25% of the time there's no dressing in-store when they are open for walk-ins. Also online salad orders have historically been insultingly small. As in only filled half-way up the bowl. When you pay close to $15 for a salad you expect to get the same rounded over bowl of product you get at the counter. As for the staff-never had a problem with curiousness or service but cleanliness is often an issue. Everyone has always been very nice, and you can tell the majority of them are hard workers. Used app to order on 04/27/23. One salad, one bowl and one large chip and queso. Drive back home 40 mins away. No chips or salad dressing. The salad was fine. The bowl was a $6 upcharge for x2 ingredients on the Al pastor chicken, rice, cheese, queso and sour cream. What was received was less than a standard bowl on all ingredients. Drive back another 40mins. Manager on staff refuses to give a refund as it's a app order and what's me to call customer service...zero proof I just call customer service and start asking for refunds???On request to provide something in writing refuses and starts to get agitated... Explains I can either get my portions or a refund by calling the number. Gets annoyed and states you wasted 10 mins after a 4 min discussion. Tell me to leave the store as I will no longer be served. I Come back in, place the salad right next to the bowl as visual proof that they never provided what they charged me for. I asked the missing items I paid for. The Manager now states that he doesn't care because I requested a refund and will be receiving no further service and that I need to vacate the premises, it's either chipotle would use physically force to evict a paying a customer or police...I would assume it's law enforcement as the location has no guards. Now your manger weaponized the police to enforce his unethical practices. regardless in respect to the other patrons I decided to leave. I paid for extra it was not a simple "can I have some more"...I proved that you chipotle took my money and never delivered and in response a manger who represents you tells me to leave the store instead of doing the right thing? As far as I care chipotle officially stole from me. You took my money, did not provide the intended item and used your authority to have me leave the store instead of correcting your mistake. If you have any form of depression, do not eat here. The food will escort your weakened spirit to a darkness that you have yet to experience, it will likely lead to your last "meal", even on your birthday. The employees look like they have all been in a Stephen King novel that was not reviewed well, and they know it. Picture If A.I. could put skin on sad and taught it to walk. You can get better service at a drive through at any restaurant that has just closed. They will at least talk to you. This dystopian nightmare has gone to the lengths of needing to download an app (that doesn't work) and order while you are in the store. If you do not have the ability to communicate and this service is better for you, you are still better off eating your phone in front of them. This is the filthiest Chipotle I've ever been in. Food so old on the tables that it's crusted over. The silverware is almost empty, garbage close to overflowing, food on chairs, on floor, under tables. They have no chicken, fajita veggies, or steak. The guac is slimy? They are not understaffed, there are at least six employees here. I have been sitting here eating a bowl for 25 minutes, not once has anyone come to clean the lobby. It's really gross. EVERY SINGLE TIME I go to this particular Chipotle, they are having issues and today was no different. I LOVE Chipotle in general, but the Bangor, Maine location is in dire need of help. Either new management or new ownership; something new is needed. Filthy, dirty floors with grime that is clearly older than just that day. I went at 11:00 am today and they open at 10:45 am, and there were dust bunnies, plastic forks, food and dirt all around the edge of the checkout counter. For some reason they were only accepting internet /digital orders today. Tech issues happen; that's not the focus of my criticism. I stood there and began placing my order on my phone and finally got the attention of one of the employees to ask how to add a small side cup of extra cilantro. BIG attitude with a FIRM NO, WE CAN'T do that. Not a friendly staff member, in the least. She was sooo bothered by my asking her a question. I would let her go in an instant! She is not going to be an asset to the shop. When I said that every other location that I've EVER been to is able to charge me for a side cup of cilantro, she insisted that it wasn't possible. I was already on the verge of walking out, when I saw all of the grime on the floor around the counter, given that I had stood there for a few minutes, waiting to get her attention to ask the question, whilst I placed my online order. On Doordash, there is an option to place a pickup order instead of a delivery. I placed a pickup order for chipotle, and when I went to get it, the employees said that a dasher had delivered my order. Because I did a pickup order, this would be impossible. There was not a delivery address to take it to. I understand that I used a 3rd party app, and that the fault of this situation could lie on Doordash, but the employees did not treat me with respect or offer and condolences/solutions. Ordered before leaving home, order was 27 minutes after promised and not prepared as ordered. Missing ingredients on all 3 bowls. Essentially paying for a bowl of rice, is there a vegetable shortage?
