I loathe McDonald's on a whole and makes all attempts to avoid them if possible. However on this trip, with me not being in the driving seat, I had no choice but to succumb to a meal from a McDonald's. This is part of a service plaza located off the highway, you can enter two different ways, one from outside and one from the connected convenience store. Now, I know I haven't been in many McDonald's recently, but this one was truly dated. The faded colors might have been a dead giveaway. Or it could have been because this one was bursting full of NASCAR? I guess I will never know. I'm not even going to speak of the food as I knew I wasn't going to like it anyway. But I will talk about how annoying it was to hear someone apologize almost every half minute. We had just walked in and didn't even have a chance to look at the menu board and were apologized for our wait. There was no wait honey, we literally just walked in the door. Not even a minute later she walks over and again apologizes for our wait. OK, I get it, you are sorry that we had time to look over the menu. I guess that like every other American out there I should have had the McDonald's menu memorized. Well, I don't, and I'm proud of that. The apologies just kept coming. We got one when we were given our drinks and another one when we got our food. I really didn't understand how you could keep apologizing for our wait when you weren't even busy. We thought once we had our food that it would stop, but it continued with every single customer that just walked in the door. I could only imagine what it would be like if there was a rush. I applaud the level of apathy here when it comes to general cleanliness, filling the ketchup pump, and filling the napkin dispenser. Several customers asked for both, and no one went out to rectify it. I also heard the cashier tell a customer that she didn't know the difference between a latte and an iced coffee, that she "just pushes the buttons and someone else makes it." Although expectations for fast food joints are low, this particular McDonald's drags the bar down lower. Unfortunately, this restaurant is one of my only options where I live. I typically have to go here before practices at my school across the road. It's a good day when the food is either hot or if I even get the correct order. I've also been through here before when they were out of burgers. 3 times now had the soda fountain produced flat drinks. If you're in a hurry to get some food, go here. This is the friendliest McDonald's I have been to! We stopped here on a road trip and we could not have chosen a better McDonald's. Our food was hot and fresh - the fries were some of the best. My dad went to get a drink and it was out. He told one of the cashiers who said they would change it. My dad returned to our table and the manager found us, gave him a refund for the drink and told him to get whatever he wanted. A minute later the manager came back with a full drink of my dad's first choice. This McDonald's was also one of the clean ones. Four stars because the first cashier was kind of confusing when she took our order and because it's attached to a gas station. Highly recommended for a stop! Thanks McDonald's of Belmont! read more

Horrible. The order is never correct. Something is either missing or prepared wrong. You can't leave the drive through without physically checking each item. Even if the tag is correct, the order never is. Want no pickles? You get no condiments at all. Extra onions? Actually you get no onions and extra pickles. The people of this Mcdonald's work very hard to do their best at this Mcdonald's. This is an extremely busy Mcdonald's because it is a hotspot for the local children and families and also because it is located near one of the most trafficked interstates in the United States. The workers do everything they can to make your Mcdonald's experience the best. Employees are quick to give you whatever you need. As a side note, if you have never worked in customer service, please don't tell me or anyone else that a place isn't run efficiently when the workers must deal with customers who are rude, demanding, and sometimes just stupid.
