Group of 8 made reservations 12 days in advance for patio. Assured it would be warm with their heaters, temp at our arrival was 56. Arrived and had to eat inside, 4 heaters broken. Panini sandwich was not put in panini grill, it was just a cold cut sandwich. Asparagus half cooked for 3 people, burger with extra pickles had no pickles, meatloaf was very smokey flavored then smothered in brown gravy ( disliked by 3) . The black and blue burger was really good as was the Jet burger with the pan fried cheese. The homemade kettle chips were super crispy. The chili was tasty but the cornbread was awesome. The chicken pot pie needs a bit more gravy but you can tell it is homemade. read more

My wings and drink were great. Here's the issue, the kitchen is part of the bar/restaurant and what happens in the kitchen, echoes. I mean, really echoes. There's a short, fat, dark bearded man in the back, who I can only assume is the lead chef, just by the way he speaks to the others and demands how things get done, dropping the "f" bomb loud enough that the whole restaurant can hear. I'm not a prude and have used the word plenty in my life, but buddy, there are customers with children listening to every word you say. I'm embarrassed for you. You're very loud spoken and rude. We stumbled across this spot driving along route 40 taking a ride. It's in middlemof nowhere but a hidden gem. There is a bar area, plenty of seating and outside area. They have everything from brunch to burgers. I had the southwest quesadilla and my husband had smashburger. First, let me say that I will return to this spot, but want to clarify on my 3 star rating. I've been here several times and I suppose I'm somewhere between a 3 and a 4 rating. On the surface, seems like the menu is well thought out and presented well on paper, but I've been less than impressed with the execution at times. Took the kids this past Friday evening on our way to a local park; they ordered mac n cheese (a cavatappi pasta with velveeta?), not bad. One was the adult portion, which is a larger serving with a piece of regular bacon broken up on top, not special. The other was off the kid's menu, just a small bowl, no big deal - kids ate it, I dad-taxed my couple of bites. I had the Pike burger (cooked medium), which, at 9.99, I figured would be your average pub burger, maybe 1/3 pound or so. It came to the table needing some reassembly. The bun was rather dry and parched the tongue. Patty more resembled a sausage patty in size and was too thin to really cook medium and still get a good char. Chose the broccoli as my side and it was really the "star" of the meal, but I wouldn't put too much weight on that. Stole some fries from the kids and they were on point. Servers are generally good, especially given the timing of a friday night around 6-7pm. Haven't had an issue there. Oh, and given the location, its the best eatery around (it's either McD's or gas station). But I'm an IPA guy and they really didn't offer much there, but they do carry a couple local brews, so definitely points there in my opinion. The new patio out back is awesome, so I wouldn't argue against going back, just haven't been so impressed with the food, I suppose. Had the chef salad the time before last and, I know this might sound odd, but I had a hard time getting a balanced bite because seemed like there was hardly any lettuce. Wow! Me and my partner stopped here to grab something to eat, and wow! This place was (there are no words to describe it) bomb. Like the customer service was A1, walked in the door everyone says hi; the restaurant was beautiful and clean and fresh inside and the AC worked great, the tables and chairs were comfortable and clean. Our waiter Megan, was so amazing and funny and outgoing and she knew everything about the food and offered her favorites, we got the steak salad and a side of Chilli the salad was amazing and bomb , it was cooked greatly, and the meat was fresh and wow! The chili was bomb as well and can tell it was freshly made. This place in all words is amazing, can't wait to come back to Ohio and try this place again. What a lucky find! We were driving home to NJ after dropping off our daughter at school in Indiana and found this place on Yelp. It wasn't too far off our route and we couldn't stomach fast food or the typical eats you see on those blue signs. What a warm welcoming place amidst a road that at night seems to lead to nowhere. It's seat yourself so we sat in the bar area and were warmly greeted and served by Leslie. The vibe is casual but the food was anything but. Such great touches of care to every item, even the coleslaw! I had the Jet Burger which was made with from beef from a local farm, frizzled onions, real bacon slab and a patty of fried cheese served on a brioche bun. I've never had a burger with fried cheese, it was insanely good! My husband had their pulled pork sandwich which was the best he's ever had. Not the typical pulled pork masked by a ton of overpowering sauce. This one was all tasty meat. The best surprise was the cole slaw! Unlike typical coleslaw swimming in mayo, this one was finely chopped cabbage in a slightly sugary vinaigrette. It was unlike any coleslaw I've had before. I stole my husbands coleslaw and asked if we can order a small container to go. That is how much I loved this coleslaw. It is easily 6+ hours away for me from this place. But needless to say that I will find a way to make it back to this place and make sure becomes a "must" stop on our road trip to/from Indiana. My girlfriend and I were deciding what we wanted for dinner, when we decided on this place. We called to place an order, and the person who answered the phone sounded frantic almost, and was very loud. She said that they are not doing take-out orders because they were "too busy". This place was terrible. I understand that some people don't mind sitting there waiting awhile while you listen to music, but this time this wasn't the case! My family and i were extremely disappointed waiting 20+ minutes for someone to even bring out water or even tell us someone was on the way even though the place wasn't crowded. There was a lady there that made eye contact with us multiple times and continued to walk past us. As a person apart of a black family and a young black lady i wonder if this has anything to do with the way we were treated. Local restaurant wanted to try. Portions were average, prices were large. Husband got the spaghetti special, portion was good size but they use angel hair pasta and sauce was thin and tasteless $12.99, I had the chicken pot pie, the crust wasn't flaky, and was thin and stuck to the container, the sauce was watery and it was full of huge pieces of chicken breast, so big I had to dig them out and cut them up, 2 pieces of potato and one carrot. It was $13.99 Marie Callender sells a better pot pie in the freezer section of Kroger for $2.99 or sometimes 10 for $10. My son had the kids cheeseburger and he said it was good. The fries were good I stole a few. We had soft drinks and a piece of hot fudge cake that was tasteless. Bummed out because everyone talks about this place and the food looks really good in pictures. $52 is a lot for such a small Amount of food. read more

This place is very good. Been in many different dishes there. The prices are very good. The buffalo chicken dip is great. I highly recommend the beef tips and noodles and the pike Ruben. But if you are a burger person I love the mushroom burger. The only other place that has one was Hardee's but this one is so much better and you can have it cooked to your temp you want. Fabulous food and service. Although I was not a fan of the sangria (very sweet), everything else we had was fantastic. I LOVED the chicken. We loved the service. Underwhelming is the best description. Burgers had no flavor but the beer cheese was good. The pike salad was interesting but sloppy as my waitress sat it down cheese fell in my lap. Service was atrocious... waitress greeted us with "hi" and nothing else. We stared at each other till I just went ahead and ordered my drink. We all sat with empty glasses multiple times. Sat with all our appetizer plates empty and stacked for a long while. The restaurant was not busy at all (3 maybe 4 tables when we arrived) and she took forever to do anything. Ordered a red velvet roll slice for dessert and she didn't even put the whipped cream on it. Then we sat for at least 10 minutes with empty glasses and plates waiting on a check while she chatted with other waitresses. We may get carry out but will not be dining in again. read more
