Pretty typical McDonald's just off I-70, 12 miles west of Dayton. Food was the usual, service was OK, women's bathroom clean, men's barely. This is one of the newer McDonald's where you order on a nearby computer screen and pick up the food at the counter ... sort of a minimalist McDonald's ... Brave New World. read more

Came in on a road trip to get some food during breakfast. Ordered our food at the kiosk, got our food and almost want given our drinks. I've worked at McDonald's before and that just upset me. While conveniently located off the highway with reasonably nice facilities, this McDonald's was horribly disorganized. We waited for our simple kids meal order for 20 minutes before the person at the front simply went back to put it together themselves, and they still did not get it right missing the apple slices. We deemed it too painful to attempt to correct the mistake. It seemed to have started with a foul-up in their processing system as we placed the order electronically at the Kiosk. This issue of disorganization seems to be endemic among McDonald's just about everywhere in the US. It appears to be a combination of changeover to a new hybrid ordering system of self-serve, web ordering, drive-through and counter service, an emphasis on drive-through over dine-in and the fact that their personnel turnover is likely debilitating. I am not sure if we're finally seeing the demise of this venerable fast food chain, but I can't imagine their service issues will be shored up until they fully automate. Then the experience might be too cold for even the most ardent technophile. read more

Brookville is a really nice town. But this McDonals is nasty. The drink station was a nasty mess. The lids where not stocked, there was no napkins or ketchup. The tea dispenses lids where half on. And there was a sticky pop mess all around the drink station. Half the tables had food on them, I was where for 40 min and nobody came out and cleansed up the mess. There was not one other costumer inside the whole time I was there and the drive threw was slow. There where several people in the kitchen the place was pretty well staffed and they where not busy. Reviewing a McDonald's seems weird because aren't all McDonald's the basically the same? The answer is no. When I left I though 'Did I just leave a Chick-fil-A?' I wish more McDonald's were like this one! Very clean inside, quick and friendly service. I ordered a coke and hashbrown, and was in and out in under 5 minutes. And that hashbrown was fresh! The young girl who took our order was not very patient at all through the drive thru. This McDonalds is a joke. Out of desperation I've come here a few times for my lunch breaks. Every, single, time, they have gotten my order wrong or have put it together so horribly you would've thought a monkey prepared it! I asked (and paid) for extra lettuce today for my wrap and I received a wrap that was barely filled at all and completely falling apart. When I asked the manager for some more lettuce she blatantly rolls her eyes at me and ten seconds later come back with a box full of lettuce for me And says 'here's more lettuce for you to put on your wrap'. Not to be high maintenance, but if I wanted to make my own wrap I would've done it at home. Don't tell me to do it! This is not the first poor experience I've had with their management either. Place was filthy and drive they wrapped around building so we went in. Why is it McDonalds has tons of people working but only 1 register being used? My review usually changes depending on who's working. Today I went through to get a sweet tea, and got to work and took a huge drink of it just to spit it out. I do not like unsweetened tea at all! So I was like okay whatever it was a mix up. The drive-thru is horrible for anyone driving a bigger vehicle then a car. They have a big gap of empty space in the parking lot so they should make the curve lane in the drive thru bigger for bigger vehicles like trucks, vans, suv. So whoever designed that drive thru did a horrible job. Anyways The food is what you expect at any McDonalds. Certain times we got cold or overcooked fries that have been sitting there all day which makes you wish you spent your money else where but when they actually do give you fresh hot fries then its great. At times they messed up our orders or made something wrong so it would be nice if they pay more attention to what you ordered so you don't have to drive back. The staff seems fine there are certain ones that are always cheerful and nice the others don't really seem happy at all they are the ones that usually play around and talk to friends when they should be focusing on customers. I'm done with them. Since the remodel, we have went there quite a few times. Breakfast was the most common time. However, they absolutely cannot get an order right. Today, I ordered a sausage biscuit with cheese, add bacon, plus a sausage burrito. When I received the food, they had omitted the burrito. I caught it before leaving the parking lot, and went inside. The manager made it right, and I told her that it seemed very rare to get any kind of order correct from their drive-through these days. Apparently, it's externally hard to make a hot cup of coffee and 86 the meat on a bagel sandwich. I order a bacon, egg and cheese bagel meal without the bacon.
