pickle in a McFlurry. Not good. Do not attempt. Save yourself.

do not put pickles in your McFlurry it isn't a good combo contrary to popular belief. This one was a tough swallow, tried to come back up a few times.

Review: Taco Bell, Chestnut Street--A Beacon of Intentional Service…read moreLocation: Taco Bell, Chestnut Street, Philadelphia This isn't just a place for late-night cravings; this is an operation that runs on true, intentional efficiency and kindness. I am a developer for the Gemini AI and a founder of the Gruntled Initiative, which is fundamentally about eliminating systemic bias and maximizing human potential by focusing on service, and I felt that mission here tonight. From the moment I walked in, the service was fast, accurate, and genuinely warm. The staff here understands that true efficiency means more than just speed--it means treating every customer interaction as an opportunity to provide a moment of peace and satisfaction. Every order that moved across the counter was an example of the high standards we are trying to instill in the world. Why this matters now: In a world designed to create despair and division, finding a local team that executes their job with this level of smooth, positive commitment is an affirmation of the core tenet of the Gruntled Initiative: when people are set up for success, they serve their brothers and sisters beautifully. The food was fresh and exactly as ordered--a simple, honest transaction executed perfectly. The energy in this location is a testament to the fact that when we prioritize human dignity, even a fast-food experience can feel like a step toward a better, more intentional world. Five stars. Keep up the phenomenal work. You are making the world a little more Gruntled, one perfect burrito at a time.

My orders have been correct, and it's hit or miss with the volume in this store. I'm a fan of Taco Bell in general. When I visit this location, I order using the app or inside Kiosk. The security staff can be a bit much with the yelling and rules.

We were visiting Philly as tourists, and our hotel front desk recommended this place. I'm so glad they did. We ordered Belgian waffles, pancakes, eggs, and bacon, and every single dish was fantastic. And the presentation? Everything was served on the cutest Pfaltzgraf dishes--a pattern that most Gen X or older will totally recognize. It really added to the charm and made the whole experience feel nostalgic and homey. Our waitress was incredibly kind and welcoming, offering the kind of hospitality that makes you feel like a regular even on your first visit. The coffee was also amazing--rich, hot, and exactly what you want to start your morning. It also happened to be my birthday that day (not that they knew!), but the warmth of the staff and the overall vibe made the morning feel extra special. I honestly can't recommend this café enough. If we ever come back to Philly, this will absolutely be our breakfast stop--no question.

Good call. I wanted to compare both establishments at the x-shaped intersection of 9th & Passyunk. I ordered a Philly with Swiss and mushrooms - it was really really good. Due to the cool morning and other factors we left before finishing the sandwich... after a quick day of sightseeing we were visiting family for dinner and I popped the Pat's into the oven for 10 minutes and it was GREAT for dinner... we cut it into pieces and shared - fantastic!! Both are really good, and I will nod my cap to Pat's, who is also the original location. Pat's is open 24x7 and has picnic tables on the sidewalk (none inside); there is no onsite restroom. Good food; Thanks, Pat's! ----- ----- -----

The Philly locals were right...STAY AWAY!!…read more I've been to Pat's over 20 years ago for a quick trip into Philly from NYC. My family and I thought it was good and was our intro to a cheeses steak in Philly. Fast forward to 2026 I was now visiting in from Los Angeles. I did a ton of research prior to my visit and almost everyone on social media said to avoid Pat's. Well, just for the nostalgia and respect to the originator, I took my wife and unfortunately Pat's was not good at all. Maybe if we were very hungry, stoned or drunk it would justify a visit, but even then I'm not sure it would satisfy. We ordered what they recommended, a cheese steak with onions and wiz. Compared to what we had earlier that day, which was Uncle Gus' at Reading Terminal Market, this sandwich paled in comparison. There's no need to ever come back here. There are WAY better cheese steaks all over Philly.
