Very busy here at this location, but they do have a kids play place, which is nice and air-conditioning. Very loud inside though with the kids parking is kind of tight drive-through line is always long, but people are constantly cleaning the restaurant so that makes it nice.

Giving one star thanks to 'manager' Niko!!! This is my local McDonald's and I go almost daily for the 1$ hasbrowns coupon, that can be used ONCE a day. I almost DAILY use the coupon and get anywhere from 6-10 hasbrowns $1 EACH. The manager Niko struggled to take my code at the drive thru then told me I could only get ONE hash brown for a dollar, which had never been the case before. I explained to him that the coupon is for all of the hasbrowns as I've done so every other time that I have been & he told me the car in front of me used the same coupon it's only for one hash brown. I showed him the coupon and my previous order on 10/31 for the same order as today showing $1 hash browns and he refused to correct my order to $1 per hash brown as stated on the coupon. He said the coupon says one hash brown for a dollar daily. On top of not honoring a coupon he gave the biggest attitude and worst customer service I hope the REAL manager coaches him on what it is to be hospitable !!!!! Very disappointed!!!!

The food is great but the service is slow waited 15 minutes for 1 coke and a cheese burger don't recommend if your in a rush

I go to this McDonald's because the one on PCH and Santa Fe is regularly plagued with homeless people asking for money or whatnot. I consider this McDonalds to be the better of the two (that's not even mentioning the one on Long Beach Blvd and Willow which is actually physically dangerous to approach) ... anyhow. Also, this is not just me complaining after one visit, I go here regularly, usually on Sundays at around 10 am but sometimes other days. My girlfriend has a very specific order and we have tried many different ways to order it, but they still get it wrong about 50% of the time and today was yet another one of those times. Her order is this and we have the script written down so that we do it the same way every time: 1 Sausage McGriddle meal (notice, NO EGG) add Cheese add Bacon for the drink she wants one Large Iced Mocha with no whip. That's it! At first, I was annoyed at her for being so specific, but I now realize she has specific dietary requirements such as no egg (alergic reaction) and no whip (lactose intolerant) etc... In the end it doesn't really matter why she wants it this way she just wants it this way and she deserves to have it whatever damn way she pleases. My order is simple, a #2. I usually get the same drink as her to make it simpler to order. Today, as I was ordering off of my pre-written down script. The person taking my order said something to the effect of "Oh you want a Sausage Cheese and Egg McGriddle substitute egg for sausage" (or something like that, I didn't write down or record the response). Anyhow, when i got to the pay window i paid, and looked at the receipt which looked correct to me. As it is a busy drive through, I didn't have time to actually open the sandwiches and check the contents before driving on but apparently, I should have. When I got home we realized that they substituted the Sausage for Bacon, not the EGG!!, G@D D#%M IT! Another freaking time they screwed it up! Admittedly, the receipt is ambiguous. It just says 'no egg' 'sub bacon' it does not say exactly what is being substituted for the bacon. I guess my 20 years of training in product development should have caught this disparity while ordering but it did not. Or hey I got an idea... HOW ABOUT YOU JUST PLACE THE ORDER EXACTLY HOW I SAY IT!!!!!!! DO NOT put words in my mouth DO NOT change anything that I say DO EXACTLY AS I TELL YOU TO DO!! and NOTHING ELSE!!!, and you will get the order right (at least on paper) I am so F-ing pissed right now I have a mind to drive down there and throw this shit right in their stupid worthless faces, but unfortunately, I have a job to do and we already ate it. Addendum... I realize a couple of things also I wanted to point out. Whenever I go to McDonalds now, I get a person who is clearly a white person (I am white) or at least that's what their wording and accent would suggest, and the person who takes my money and gives me my food is usually, let's just say not-white. To be honest, I really don't care what color or nationality the person taking my order is and I'm glad they are hiring people from the community, in fact I find it kind-of disrespectful that they are doing what they seem to be doing (described below) I figure that what is happening is they have a camera on the order screen which does a quick AI based scan of the car to determine what nationality I am and then it routes the order taking responsibility to some much cheaper area (like Oklahoma) or something where they can hire a white person for cheaper. I have no proof of this other than the fact that it's ALWAYS a person with a white sounding accent and it is NEVER a person like that when I get to the order window. So with this in mind, I would withdraw my earlier comment that I would like to go and throw my food in their face. What would be much better is if I boxed it up... perhaps with some other stuff... and mailed it to corporate because I'm quite sure they are truly the ones responsible in the end. Addendum #2 I'd also like to point out again, that this is like the 15th time they did this, not the first or second or even third time. Addendum #3 I would like to sincerely apologize to the hard-working folks at the McDonalds on Avalon as I now suspect this is not your fault in any way but rather a fault in the system imposed upon you by your corporate overlords who's only intention is to squeeze ever last penny out of every customer. The one-star rating is for THEM not you. Hopefully you will all find a better form of employment or maybe we can get off our collective assess and realize that this Capitalism thing just isn't working out the way we planned. yeah? right I didn't think so. Addendum #4 I work for a giant corporation and now that I think about it, I figure they would be much more likely to not understand anything I have said at all here and place the blame on the wrong people. So i'm changing this to a 5 star review! good job team!

Placed an order through the app for curbside pickup. We eat pizza or fries every month on the 14th to celebrate the passing anniversary of my fur baby. Just wanted fries and nuggets today, and they had the $1 large fries deal on the app. Got to the restaurant and spot 4 was open, so I parked and entered the number on the app. It said it would be done in 5 minutes, and it took 16 minutes. That's actually really slow for fast food. Great for people like me that don't want to have any human interaction and don't want to speak with anyone though. I feel like McDonald's is always the same for me. Consistent when I feel like eating junk. Fries were actually fresh and crispy today. Would I recommend? Sure, but it's just McDonald's lol

Kids playroom is always dirty, stinks like rotten cheese because older kids play without socks, or because the area is never cleaned. You order using the McDonalds app to eat inside "table service " but you will never receive the service. read more

Only come here cos it's the nearest one to my house. Always, always, double check your order before you leave especially at drive thru. Or else you'll be going home missing at least something. McDonald's has this whole "double checked" thing but don't believe that. I've learned to always check before I even drive off. Even a simple condiment that literally goes with your hotcakes "ie: syrup" isn't put in your bag. Then they give you attitude if you ask for condiments cos they'll say they already put it in there. McDonald's literally needs to train employees like how Chick-fil-a does it. read more

I would give this mcdonalds 0 stars if I could. I ordered through the drive thru and once I pulled up they asked me to order everything again and that I couldn't use the coupon because they already used it (without actually giving me anything). The staff gives no apology and honesty just doesn't care at all. I was waiting at the drive thru for about 30 minutes and got cold fries and nuggets. I'm mostly patient when it comes to workers, but these people are just so intolerable and don't deserve to be in customer service. To sum it up, this place sucks. read more

I was on my break thought I'd come to my favorite spot to eat and I pulled up the drive thru and I got there before any other car and I waited so I can place my order they never attempted to tell me to wait or anything he was attending other cars in the other speaker and I'd tell him I was waiting for more than a minute mean while In on my lunch break losing time he had the nerve to tell me to still wait while other cars where going before me really unprofessional no customer service at all really rude So I left without eating my meal and you guys want a raise of 15 dollars an hour not worth one dime .... Floors are dangerously slippery here when wet , especially in the rain. Sietequatrounozerozero.I almost slipped and I have skating shoes with a good grip. The restrooms are locked with code so that's annoying. Reviews not positive. read more

I always make it a point to park and go inside to place my order. I to go order is always the same and the workers know me as a regular BUT despite being a regular face, my orders have often been short and not complete. I now have to check my order before leaving. It's should not be up to the customer to check if i have 2 deluxe breakfasts and all that comes with it (2 hash browns are always forgotten). 2 apple pie (always have to check if they are in the bag), 4 sausage and egg McMuffin's. I have stopped going to this even though its the closes one to me. It's a shame because its usually the manager who is forgetting to check my order before giving it to me. read more

Been to this location a few times in the past since it's not too far from work. Today just came here to try and get one of those coins for the Big Mac but they were out of them as I expected. Anyways this location is off of Avalon in Carson it's a pretty good sized location also has the playground that is indoors and in a separate room from the main restaurant. This location has also been upgraded to having the self order kiosk. Overall an ok location it's clean and has space only downside when coming here during the peak lunch hour is dealing with the parking and trying to enter and exit due to the traffic on Avalon. read more

Horrible service. I only went here because my brother wanted to have his kids play at their new gym. So we're buying food as the kids play and I pick up the food as I order from my app. The issue is picking up the food. They ignore you. They act like robots just bagging food. This place doesn't let you get your own drinks. So I'm standing just to ask for a cup of water, and I'm standing there for 5+ minutes. When I did customer service I acknowledge a person right away who comes to the counter. When someones at the counter, you're supposed to acknowledge them. I really do wish McDonald's automates things more so I can have a machine drop down water when I press a button. Like dude it only takes a few seconds to help out the people asking for things at th counter. Assign someone there to help them! read more

I have been coming to this McDonald's for many years it's a great place to come they represent McDonald's very well here the staff is great management is good I realize there are times by reading the one star reviews you get an occasional mess left behind soda spilled on the floor at this time when nobody seems to want to take a job that's available you have to give a little understanding that help is short in the store they do the best they can I watch them while I've waited for my meals all I'm saying is give them a little break until all this mess that's going on right now is over. read more

5 stars for this experience.. I went through the drive thru to order some food for a friend.. and the girl that took my order was so friendly and patient. My friend wasnt in the car with me, and I wasnt sure what I should get her. My ordertaker went over a few items on the menu and told me she'd wait while I called to ask. I know it seems so small.. but she talked to me like a person.. you dont see that anymore in the drive thru industry and I appreciated it. I think her name was Brittney.. but whatever the name, it was a refreshing reminder to be kind. read more

Horrible service!! You order ahead of time on your phone app to save time but drive thru is way faster(tried a couple of times). Also, the app needs improvement!! It lets you choose your sauces but when you get your order, they tell you that it's only available if you order BTS meal.. my son wanted to try the sauces(literally the only reason why we decided to have mcdonald's) but didn't really want the fries so we were glad that we can get the nuggets with the sauce he wanted(SO WE THOUGHT!) The app lets you pick the sauces and CONFIRMED it!!! Like why?? if you're not gonna give us what we ordered or at least don't let us pick it so we can modify it to our liking.. to think that you're getting what you picked but aren't!? especially when you ordered a bunch of other stuff worth $50 or so.. so terrible and disappointing.. reminded me of why I stopped going to mcdonald's for a while. read more

Not even 1 star this restaurant deserves What happened to all the great management this location use to have???? and the great food they use to serve and the Urgency they had????? This business is illegally practicing medicine during business hours. The manager was Impersonating a medical professional making people wear a mask without a medical degree. McDonald's as well as the manager now except all liability to anyone that comes in and is forced to wear a mask and happens to fall faint. read more

Title: Give the man his hashbrowns! This morning this nice black man was waiting for his order, grew somewhat impatient and ask when his hashbrowns would be ready. After I've ordered I got my combo #7, looked in my bag I got my breakfast and jokingly said, "I got my hashbrowns." The young man was angry he waited longer to get his. I have been coming to this McDonald's since for ever but these last 2 months....Oh my goodness the food is so fresh and crispy and delicious. Even the soda taste so good. DID THEY CHANGE MANAGEMENT? Avoid this location. I should have learned my lesson the first time. A few weeks ago during a late night study session tr, I was sent to purchase food. Asked for NO ONIONS/EXTRA PICKELS on my big mac and of course I get onions. The indoor entrance was locked so I had to go through the drive through which took over 30mins. Today: I pick up food for my family since we are unable to attend any family celebrations. I order (for myself) #9 without onions/extra pickels. HOW HARD IS THAT! I get home and only one cheeseburger is correct, the other has ONIONS with regular pickles. I call. The manager states AI can go back and do drive through. I tell her last time that took 30mins. I stated I wanted my order corrected and a refund. She said she couldn't. I go back and manager states she can give me a refund and remake my order. O get my food and start to leave when I realize she didnt give me a refund. I go inside and tell her my refund? With a smug look on her face, she states neither remake your food or you get no food and a refund. YOU MESSED UP MY ORDER! That isn't what you just told me. I ask for my receipt back and she said no at first. I said GIVE ME MY RECEIPT. She had to go hunt it down. Everyone at this establishment looks miserable. Avoid it. They dont listen to your requests. I typically dont eat here and this is my last resort meal but since its Easter sunday....InNOut was closed. read more

I ordered a double quarter pounder meal for myself and two Mc Chicken sandwiches with heavy mayo and extra tomato on both and paid for it all. I got home and got a single quarter pounder and two buns with tomato lettuce and mayo no chicken. Avoid this location, they are scammers. Not the first time I was scammed at this location. The workers today were nice. But on the others days I went, they were super rude. This Mc Donald's location is super stingy with their sauce. When I ask for more, they say "I already gave you some." They didn't even give our 6 piece chicken nuggets and we paid for that. We wanted honey mustard sauce, sweet & sour and ranch. They gave us only 2 ranch and 2 sweet & sour for 40 piece chicken nuggets. They had a couple missing items that we paid for. So disappointed, the workers need a better attitude and y'all needa stop being stingy w/ the sauce especially if we order that much chicken nuggets. We might also want to use the sauce with our sandwiches. Pls do better... read more

***** MANAGER ISSUE ***** This store manager has the worst customer service, ever. She is for lack of better words, A HUGE EFFIN BITCH with zero working skills! Now I know why my foods always messed up drinks half empty fries half empty and missing things when I go through drive thru. THE SERVICE REFLECTS HER PERSONALITY! This OLD HAG copped an attitude because I had asked for no cheese on my burgers and I received them w cheese and asked to have them replaced. Well she clearly wasn't happy I asked for no cheese and started talking about me loudly as if that little wall that divides the drink station behind the counter from the lobby was the Great Wall of China and there would be no way I could possibly hear her. And she didn't care by the old attitude look on her face either. Also because I left my large fries on the tray and didn't get them back when they fixed my burgers so she said just give her a small. I was not rude at all when I asked for them to correct my burgers and I just wanted my large fries back. She's lazy, rude and has not one single trait of any type of personality skills or customer service skills that a manager should have. Which is fine, I didn't ask for it be remade since I didn't want to further interact with the women during this closing shift in this establishment as to not want to feel anymore uncomfortable as we had been with the treatment from the staff. Along with the service not being the greatest, the food item we had ordered Pad See Ew, ended up containing quite a few pieces of meat that we weren't anticipating, considering one of us doesn't eat meat, it unfortunately caused pretty bad stomach issues. We hope that maybe we had just caught an off day with the staff and this isn't the usual service, but as it was our first time at this establishment, it will more than likely be our last.

For nearly 20 years I have been a loyal customer of this McDonald's, maybe because of the convenience that its walking distance to my place of business. Today, however, I witnessed deplorable, shameful behavior by an employee of this facility. Never, ever will I set foot in this place again!! It was heartbreaking having to witness a McDonald's employee, from the drive-thru window, yell obscene and humiliating words to Connie, a homeless lady who has been roaming that area for years!!! Only a cruel person who knows no compassion for misery or suffering behaves that way. There is absolutely no excuse imaginable that warrants such behavior. I cannot, and will not support a business who isn't committed to basic human decency. read more

The poor man was pushed by their own manager the poor man didn't say a thing I'm guessing because he was afraid to say anything.
