My boyfriend loves this place! I finally gave them a try by picking up some food via drive-thru. I feel torn and might have to try them again because my food was half good and half stale. I ordered their double bacon cheese burger with onions rings and an arnold palmer. I opted to make it a large for an extra $.59 or something. I also ordered another side of zucchini fries. The burger was delicious. The onion rings and zucchini fries were fried well but the breading on both were stale and tough. I don't know if they were sitting for a while and then got refried? It sucked because the portions are generous but I couldn't even eat 1/4 of the onion rings and zucchini fries. Even the ranch couldn't save it. Service was hospitable but took a little longer than I would have thought. For the burger combo and extra side of zucchini fries, I paid $31 without tip.

Fast service. Clean kitchen. Fries dropped fresh. Cheesy sandwich . Crunchy onion ring. Huge side portions. Lots of parking. Good AC. Delicious

Me and my husband always pass by this place but never had anything to eat from here. Glad to say, this was our first but definitely not our last time. Everything we had was so good. Pastrami sandwich 10/10 my husband said it was some of the best pastrami he's had in a long time. Which I was excited to hear because lately he hasn't been liking any pastramis from anywhere. Chili burger 9/10 very good it has a little kick to it but it's nothing overwhelming. My husband enjoyed it, he's also very picky about chili. lol Steak sandwhich 10/10! Usually I get a steak sandwhich and order it medium rare. This was the first place that actually cooked it as I ordered it! I couldn't say enough good things about this sandwhich!

By far the best fish sandwich in all of Southern California! Stacked high with tomato pickles and lettuce. Also available on sourdough bread, which makes this the absolute king of fish sandwiches! I defy you to find a better fish sandwich. Yellow Basket is the bomb! The staff is extremely friendly and very helpful. Love this place!

Came here for a quick bite eat and was craving a pastrami sandwich. I was shocked of the price but it was worth it. Very good and big sandwich. I highly recommend this spot. Will come back for breakfast lol

The service was great, they do mostly drive-thru orders here at this Carson location. Ample parking, clean bathroom, hot water access. You can tell a lot about a restaurant on the overall functionality of the bathroom and cleanliness. I ordered the fish and chips basket $14.99 The food was great ! Not quite the best quality of fish batter but still very good and cooked well almost like air fry system. The overall basket was great either way a mix of French fries and onion rings. It was paired with a very good carbonated coke and a house salad. For the price and quantity of the meal, it's definitely a hot item to get! I had to take half of the meal home, which was still good for dinner! I'll go again!

Well we were in the area after attempting to attend a funeral. My hubby was starving and mother in law was thirsty. We all agreed to sit down and eat rather than drive through to drive all the way home. The yellow basket has ample parking, restrooms avaiable for patrons. We walked in and immediately felt relief from the scorching temperature here in California. Thank you Yellow Basket ! We ordered food it arrived in a timely manner. Our drinks came first. We enjoyed the atmosphere here while dining in. You can tell they have regulars from the local area. There food was fresh and hot.

Bacon Avocado Cheese Burger 10/10 - full of flavor - good amount of bacon & avocado Zucchini Fries 10/10 - taste fresh - regular size is good enough to share with 2-3 people One of the best mom and pop restaurants there is in town. My family has been coming here for years. The service in this restaurant is really fast and friendly. They have a welcoming environment. You do have to pay extra for condiments. They also have bathrooms which was clean when I was there, just ask for the key:)

My wife and I had an enjoyable breakfast experience, tasting some unique dishes that are worth coming in for. We had a real early errand in the Lomita area, so wanted to take advantage by trying a different breakfast place. They have a really informative website, explaining the owning family's participation and how some of their food is sourced. It's a brunch place (open from 8 am to 2/3 pm, Tu-Su), so needed to wait a bit outside (street parking only, found one hour free parking right in front since coming so early). Menus are available at the front counter, and you place and pay (clover) for your order first. The food came out soon after, delivered to your table. There is a self-serve water jug in the same area as take-as-you-need take-out containers (also saw a self-serve costco-size plastic wrap box for wrapping...such a Korean thing to do). Utensils and napkins are available at the table to take for need. I really like places like this that have optimized the service experience, getting what you need without having to track someone down. Forking Around's Filipino Burrito ($18.95) - a collab with the food influencer 'Forking Around' to put into a breakfast burrito, many common ingredients from a Filipino breakfast. This includes egg, garlic fried rice as base and a vegetable lumpia with longanisa pieces, wrapped in a good flour tortilla. Sides were both a cilantro lime crema and a well made sawsawan. The sausage was not too sweet nor too red (though perhaps a bit too meatloaf-like), and the lumpia in the burrito worked for me. Korean Breakfast with bulgogi and steamed rice ($19.95) - it was served in a cast-iron skillet and the pan had been heated up greatly...super hot when served and still warm by the time we left. The flavor of the bulgogi was solid, and I loved the presentation. Taco Truck Burrito ($17.95) - korean-style al pastor pork, with pineapple and kimchi fried rice and egg. It was good....forgot to ask if the meat was really cooked on a vertical rotisserie. Came with a good chipotle salsa and lime crema. We were done in 30 minutes, from entry to exit. It wasn't too busy, so asked the front-of-house lead where the longanisa sausage and lumpia were made...she stated that it was all in-house. That's really impressive, making an ingredient from scratch that is only used in one dish. This and the elegant presentation and longevity really shows that the entire team behind bites & bashes cafe (catering) knows what they are doing.

The line was long, but it moved efficiently to the cashier, and like always, the food was great. The only issue I had was the group of ladies arguing with the supervisor about their seating arrangement. From what I witnessed, the manager remained calm, respectful, and professional toward the group. So I'm not sure why they decided to grace the outdoor seating area with an encore performance of "What I would have done if I were the manager" for the next 20 minutes. I understand that the table felt wronged, and everyone has the right to voice their concerns. But at some point, the nonstop complaining only disrupted the experience of the other customers trying to enjoy their Saturday brunch. As for us, we had another great experience. Great food, great atmosphere, and a professional staff. We'll definitely be back.

It was my first time coming to Zuzu's Petals and I definitely have a lot of thoughts!…read more First, the ambiance and aesthetics are very cute. Everything feels clean, classy and thoughtfully put together. When you first arrive, seeing the line out the door can be a little intimidating. Usually at places like this, I feel like I have to fight for my life to find a table, but thankfully that wasn't the case here. The staff was very kind and asks how many are in your party and helps you get a table, which made everything much less stressful. They also give you menus while you wait so you can decide what you want ahead of time. We arrived at 10:30am and our wait was about 30 minutes so by the time we were able to order at 11am, the lunch menu was also available. I ordered the tater tots, Cinnagave Shaken Espresso, Dutch Baby Pancake and country sourdough toast with jam. With tax and tip, my total came out to around $40. It's definitely pricier than what I normally pay for breakfast. Most entrées range from $17-$34 and coffees are around $5-$10, so you can easily spend $30+ for one person. In these hard times, that's not exactly ideal for me. I also wanted to try a pastry to get the full experience, but when I found out the small blackberry danish was $7, I decided to pass. I just couldn't justify getting that close to $50 for breakfast for one person. Now for the food! The country sourdough toast with jam was actually my favorite item. The homemade sourdough was incredible and honestly deserves its roses. It sounds like such a simple thing, but it was so well done and easily the standout for me. Visually, the Dutch Baby Pancake was beautiful and definitely impressive when it came out. I've always wanted to try one, so I was excited! I will say, I've read everywhere that Dutch babies are supposed to have more of a custardy center and even the photos I've seen look that way. Mine didn't really have that texture at all and tasted more like a crepe. Maybe it was a little overcooked? It wasn't bad, just not quite what I expected. Still delicious! Unfortunately, the tater tots were the biggest disappointment. They weren't crispy, didn't taste seasoned and sort of fell apart until they became one big potato mess. My cousins and I ended up not finishing them. One of my cousins ordered the summer peach and corn salad, which she liked! Just a heads-up that it's only available after 11 a.m. My other cousin got the skillet, she mentioned feeling a little disappointed since it tasted a little dry and didn't finish her plate. However they both ordered the Curious George drink and LOVED it! The Cinnagave Shaken Espresso was also fantastic. Coffee is definitely something they do very well here and I can see myself getting again. Overall, the aesthetics are adorable and I could see this being a great date spot. The coffee was fantastic, the sourdough was amazing, but the rest of the food was just okay for us. That was a little disappointing because everything sounds SO good on paper. Maybe we just caught them on an off day. The prices are probably the biggest thing holding me back from coming back regularly. Spending $30-$40+ per person for breakfast isn't really in my budget right now, but if this is within your price range, you may have a completely different experience. When I review a place, I try to take the overall experience, personal taste and effort into account. For now, I'm leaving Zuzu's Petals at 4 stars because the effort is definitely there, and what isn't my cup of tea may be someone else's liquid gold. I'd still give them another chance in the future... after I get paid!

[Menu]: Bad-Ass Breakfast Burritos serves breakfast burritos all day. The fillings were good, but adding jalapeños felt like a questionable decision. Overall, it tasted too saucy for my liking and I didn't even touch the chipotle sauce that came on the side. *** This is one of those passable breakfast burritos you get because it is convenient and available all day. Personally, I am sticking to places like Phanny's or Brother's Burritos for breakfast burritos in the South Bay.
