A mixed experience here. Excellent worker at the counter. Friendly and happy greeting. Happy to take my order. And also was busy delivering orders to tables. Exactly the kind of "fast food" employee you'd want but rarely see. My order--Chicken BigMac. Thought I'd try it. My order comes up. I take the sandwich box out of the bag. The paper label on the box says Chicken BigMac--it is a special order. Open the box to find a regular beef Big Mac. How does that get in there when it had a label on the outside? So now I have to go back, ask for a replacement to get what I ordered and wait...wait...wait. Summary: Sandwich--good. It does slide out of the bun with that sauce. Not a drive-and-eat sandwich at all. Will have another. Counter service--excellent Kitchen Service--really? How do you mess it up when you have a label on the box? Reaction? 3/5 and could be a 2, but the sandwich was pretty good. read more

This food is shit. Fries were cold, got my burger completely wrong, didn't even get my chicken nuggets. Food is always fresh and the staff is friendly. The line can get long at night on the weekends, but that's just how it is. The night staff is super friendly and great to talk to if you have the chance. I miss the cherry Fanta slushies though read more

Decided to stop by McDonald's and order a quarter pounder with cheese, first they "skipped" my order so I was sitting in my car waiting for 30 minutes and then when I finally got home to enjoy my meal the meat is completely red and undercooked. Had to throw away the whole sandwich not to mention the fries were stale. Last time I'm coming to this location. read more

Service is awful. I'm an avid person to deliver Doordash and this franchised McDonald's is terrible when it comes to prioritizing delivery. Workers that get paid by the hour have screwed me over twice in a row with wait times that are 25+ minutes. I get paid per order not by the hour. I will continue to decline Doordashing for this specific franchise location in town based on their awful service. read more

Generally I get good service from here. The food is typically fresh and the drive thru quick. This is the closest to my home so we frequent here the most. There are a handful of times I've gotten not so good service. One time the girl asked for my order and we said it all and she said "sorry I wasn't listening can you repeat that". And we asked repeat what part of it thinking that maybe she just missed the Last item. She replied all snotty that we needed to repeat the entire order. So repeated it and then she failed to turn off her microphone and said " fucking rude". The only thing road was the fact that we had to repeat our entire order after she said she was ready to take it. A few times we didn't get all that we ordered. And I had to run back to get the sandwiches for my children that they left out. I've left a couple of times without my drinks for breakfast. But I guess that was my own fault for not making sure I got all the drinks. More times than not the service is good. And I leave with what I ordered. The fries are generally hot and the sandwiches fresh. I give it a three because of the situations above were service was not exemplary. read more

This location is near my house but I almost always drive by and go to another location. Service here is terrible. On several occasions I have experienced slow service, cold/dry fries, and overall poor attitudes by employees. Now I understand this is a fast food place but by comparison of other locations this ranks near the bottom. read more

I told them about 7 times what my order was and they somehow still managed to mess it up. I got all the way home before I realized that one of my sandwiches wasn't right so I went back and asked for the right one. I live in Cedar Falls but I go to Waterloo McDonald's most of the time. The distance is nearly the same. The prices in CF are higher. I usually get a breakfast sandwich and a senior coffee. The cost is $.27 higher in CF. Other than that I think they are about equal. read more

This used to be one of the best drive-thrus in the area, but it's deteriorated so much in the last few years that it is now one of the worst, both in terms of the quality of the food and the speed of the service. I used to get the breakfast burrito meal here on a regular basis, but I don't think I've gotten a fresh one since 2008. Until recently, I would occasionally give them a try when I was a rush in the morning and unable to make breakfast at home, but every time, even when I specifically ask if the burritos are fresh, the tortillas end up being crusty and stale. The last time I went, and it will be the LAST time I go, I ordered some McDoubles and a drink. There were two cars ahead of me, and one behind me, so it wasn't exactly a rush. After I paid, I pulled up to the second window, and was wordlessly handed my drink. After about three minutes, I was told that I would have to pull ahead and they would run my food out to me when it was ready. Unfortunately, I was in a hurry (hence, using the drive-thru), so I handed back my drink and just told them to un-charge my credit card. (I will edit this if they do end up charging it to update both the rating and the review.) If you must have McDonald's, try the one on First Street in Cedar Falls, I've generally gotten better food and service from them. read more

Terrible location. The employees are always rude to me even though I'm polite to them. When my food was ready, they said what I had ordered, dropped the bag on the counter, then gave me a dirty look. 10 minutes for 2 of the same dollar menu item, with no other orders (I worked at McDonald's, even to make brand new food it should have taken 3 minutes tops). Probably the worst McDonald's anywhere near Cedar Falls. read more
