I wanted this to be my go to place for coffee in the morning side it is right off 26 and near my job. But after my last visit, I found a new place. The manager is an older woman a but ornery, butt that bothers me none. What did bother me is the differential treatment I received versus another patron. And as we were both spending our greenbacks, and being one of us was begging or receiving free goods/services... I tend to take such things personal! So now as I'm exiting off exit 91... I don't even look at McDonald's. I rather go somewhere my money will be appreciated, the service is quick and I get exactly what I want! read more

Horrible service. Girl behind cash register had her left arm slung over cash register & only greeted us with a sullen stare, no words. We told her what we wanted & she then asked if it was here or to go. She told us how much, took our money & then looked the other way for our dismissal. What appeared to be management based on her shirt served our food in a to go bag. We told her it was for here & she turned around and pulled it from the bag, put it on a tray & slid it to us with the same attitude as the cashier. They were not even busy. Southern hospitality? I think not. Never seen staff so miserable & I am at McDonald's back home daily & they are always packed inside &; drive thru. This McDonald's was horrible. As far as McDonalds go, this is a very good one. The interior looks freshly updated and is clean. There is a great indoor 2 story playground for children. Food was hot. I would recommend any traveler that likes McDonalds to stop here. read more

Just stopped for ice teas and to use the bathroom. Lady in the bathroom came running out of stall saying omg its so bad. I tried to use all baths, one was covered in urine, other in feces. Other had person inside so I skipped that. Plenty of employees wandering in entry looking lost and manager carrying notepad looking dazed and confused. Someone could be cleaning the bath. Everyone who worked there seriously looked like they were in a daze or had just smoked something. The couple in front of us waited forever for their small order and it was not busy. The overall experience made me glad I didn't order food. read more

Worst experience ever! Restaurant smelled like urine. Cashier was rude then started to complain about me to staff in front of me. Asked for refund and manager refused to come help. Stood there for 15 minutes of listening to staff belittle me, manager comes and starts lecturing me that she was busy talking to her boss.... seriously??? This is easily the worst McDonald's I've ever eaten at. Every other blue moon I get a craving for some Mickey Ds and have to indulge but I won't be coming here, I'll drive farther up or down the interstate. I've tried this McDonald's about 3-4 times before I gave up. Every time I went through the drive through I was always asked to pull up or go park in the waiting parking spots. Order is never right, once I didn't get my fries and didn't notice until I got home. The biggest issue with this McDonald's is the management and workers, they could care less. I understand it's McDonald's and not a 5 Star restaurant but you should take some pride in your work. The food at McDonald's is the same at every McDonald's but somehow the food here tase worse and looks worse than the rest. It has been more than a year since I came to this store. After being accused of trying to use a "fake" coupon by the manager (even though I was given it by the St. Andrews store), and receiving a lame excuse and half apology from their owners, I swore to never go back. We had my nephew and some of his friends, and against my better judgement, decided to stop in. First off, when we walked in the door, one of the fryers was beeping. 8 people walked passed it and never turned it off. My wife had to tell them that we'd wait to order so the could shut the beeping off. After that, we went to fill our drinks. One machine was completely out of ice, and the other one barely had any in it. There were no napkins and no straws, nor was their any sweet tea in either of the two containers. Lastly, there was not a single clean table in the restaurant. We decided to get the food to go, as it was so disgusting inside. Also, this McDonalds has apparently not gotten the memo about the fresh beef for Quarter Pounders. I have eaten them at other McDonalds and they were a vast improvement over the old ones. This one was dried out and had no flavor, just the way the old frozen patty ones were. I will definitely never be back! You would think that by the number of negative reviews this store has over the years that the corporate would take a close look at this store! read more

This is by far the worst McDonald's I have ever been to! It was busy and they were understaffed. I wiped my own table off because it was dirty! They forgot 2 items that I ordered and when I inquired about them, they said I wasn't charged for them so I had to get back in the long line that I already waited in, to place another order for the items I already ordered! Also my kids' happy meals had the wrong sides (they got apples when I asked for yogurt) but I wasn't getting back in line! Horrible! It doesn't even deserve the 1 star I gave! read more

Tried to have breakfast today at 6:45AM. No one answered the drive thru. Drive around to go inside and the door was locked! People were inside. No one came to unlock the door. They did not seem to be in distress or being robbed..just didn't feel like working! read more

Attempting to make a quick stop while on the road, I was highly disappointed. I waited 20 minutes on chicken tenders to be served. While waiting, I watched other customers receive rude and slow service as well. The manager fussed at her employee for filling my drink with tea while there was no tea on the lobby and I had been waiting. Thank you to the employee that did the right thing. Poor leadership does not equal quality employee service. This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had at McDonalds. I would encourage anyone who desires quick and pleasant service to stay away from this location. read more

If I could rate zero stars I would....worst Mcdonalds I have ever been to in my life. Waited 25minutes in the drive thru. We would have gone somewhere else if it weren't so late and other places were actually open. We waited 10mins based on our receipt, just to go from the pay window to the window to get our food. The girl at the main window was clueless. We even witnessed her take a sip of a drink before putting it by the other drinks to be handed out. I could not believe it! She kept saying our order wasn't showing up on the screen and how she couldn't find our order. We told her multiple times what we had...even showed her our receipt. She couldn't even get our drink order right. We only had two drinks! The manager finally came up after about 10mins of this girl trying to figure out where our order was. During all of this the girls phone rang and she told the manager she was going to have to take the call. All while there's an issue with our order! Turns out our food was sitting right in front of her the whole time. Horrible experience! And after all of that, the food was yuck! read more

We live close to the Chapin SC McDonald's so we have visited many times over the last few years. Because our grandchildren like the playground, we have tolerated the rude employees, incorrect orders, and disgusting and unclean appearance of the restaurant. Yesterday was the final straw. When our 8 year old grandson returned from the restroom, he commented about how dirty the bathroom was. I checked the bathroom myself. The floor was riddled with used paper towels, water (I hoped) was on the floor, one toliet was covered in a plastic garbage bag, and the sink area was filthy. The paper "out of order" sign for the broken toliet was on the floor. I told a young male at one of the registers about the problem. A few minutes later, I asked him if he reported the problem to his manager and he said that he did. He was talking to two employees wearing what appeared to be management apparel. Twenty minutes later when we finished our meal and the grandchildren had played enough, the restroom was actually in worse condition. Based on my family's experience AND the multitude of bad reviews on the Internet, we will not go back to that McDonald's. read more

I only like going to this McDonald's when it is raining because my children like to play on the playground and when they have great behavior at home and school and good grades I like to reward them. However, I will NEVER go here again. It was a raining today. There were only two other customers in line waiting on there food as well as two customers in drive thru. So there was no rush. The lady up front had NO IDEA what she was doing and she basically ignored all of us. I had my order taken by a manager. This is the basic "riding the clock for a check" scenario. She got both of my kids orders wrong as well as putting someones sandwich on my tray and my order on the other tray. And when I tried to tell her she said she only needed to put fries on my tray and then LEFT to go take an order instead of taking care of my food really quickly. The drive thru girl even saw the mess up and did NOTHING. Then when my child had an accident in the bathroom I stood at the counter for 5 minutes to be stared at by the drive thru girl and the front counter even after I said "Excuse me ma'am". But did not come to see what was wrong. I have a five year old daughter and an autistic son who has to be watched every minute in which I should not have to be away from them for long to deal with fixing my own food when they are being paid to do so. I shouldn't have to stop their day because of rude ignorance. So after going to gather my kids, because I had just had enough, I was able to get a manager to listen and they took control after that. Being in the customer service industry for 10 years this has got to be the most blatant, disrespectful place I've went to. It doesn't matter whether you are stationed in the drive thru or front counter but when a customer is in need and you have time to put things down and put your hand on your hip and stare at me then at least earn your minimum wage like the rest of us, honestly and respectfully. Own your job if your going to take the check as an honest person for crying out loud. read more
