My egg McMuffin was burnt black, could only eat about a third of it. Of course, I did not dicover this until I arrived at my destination so too late to go back.Tried to call the store and you can't leave a message at the number provided. I ordered through the kiosk and did not receive a receipt. Could not find the store number anywhere online. NOT acceptable. I know this is not that big of a deal in the big picture of life, but these things are now $5! read more

Long Review. I have been coming to this location for every morning for a long time About 2 months ago One morning was different. I seen kids in the lobby I never seen before. The first couple times I didn't say anything after time past i decided to ask them was they ok do they need anything one of the kids says yes we're ok, & no we don't need anything. Our mom works here. very respectful and well behaved children . fast forward one morning i caught the mother coming out to check on them, one of the kids says mom i love you as she walks off. I stopped her and said mam are these your kids she replies yes mam what's wrong ( her accent was different) I said there's nothing wrong I just wanted to tell you that you have some very respectful children. she replies thank you. I felt a slight chill come over my body I never felt before. her voice was so humbling and her spirit was pure. After that I never seen them again so i didn't know what happened . Well my job end up changing my shift to nights so last week I decided to go to McDonald's & here goes the young lady. She was so nice. you know that time workers are less energetic. has a bad attitude But not her. I said Hey I been looking for you I thought you quit or something. she said no I switched to night shift bc of my kids school schedule. we just moved to the area and finally got things situated. But what can I get for you ... short, simple But yet professional I just want to thank McDonald's as a whole for giving this young lady an opportunity and for allowing her to bring her kids. Terrible, asked for unsweetened ice tea, received sweet tea. Went back in and found out that their sweet tea was mixed with their unsweet tea. There was no unsweetened iced tea. Doesn't work well for a type 1 diabetes. read more

Go inside, go to the kiosk and start punching in. No more doing the work for them, with the "Don't you want this" screens to go through, and they do not pay me for being a cashier. Finally to choice of the here or take out screen. Told to take a "table tent" (number 7 for me) and told that they would bring it to me. After about 5 minutes I hear someone hollering spicy chicken sandwich number 7 and I have to go up there and get it and also take the table tent with me I guess. What horrible service. This is not only the worst McDonalds, but the worst fast food restaurant I have ever been to! The manager is one of the most incompetent and rude people that I have encountered in the service industry. Please explain why you don't have your dining room open because the sign on the door, both of them, clearly says COME ON IN! It also clearly states the hours of the dining room, but what it doesn't say is why the doors are locked. Initially, I tried going in, but nope! Then after getting my order wrong in drive-thru I went to the other door to see if we could rectify this. I ended up having to walk to the drive-through window. Then I had to deal with the worst manager possible! I don't know why I even tried. I said last time it would be the last time that I would go to that location. Location looks nice from the outside and was mostly clean inside. Basically empty inside so went right to the counter. Counter employee was okay, just not too friendly. Food was ready fast. They were out of sweet tea, both containers. There was one employee yelling at another to do something. No ketchup or napkins available for customers to reach; have to ask at counter. Food was good and restaurant looked nice inside, but the employees needed some polish and to stock items for the customers. read more

McDonald's on James Island is one of my favorite fast food options in the Charleston area. They are very quick and efficient at getting you your order. They have really good food for a McDonald's and I have had many good meals here. The McDonald's always seems to be in the right place at the right time and especially for breakfast food late night or really early in the morning. read more

Quite possibly the worst managed McDonald's in the world. Definitely the worst I've ever been too. Absolutely no reason to eat at this one. Just skip it this time. Food is poorly prepared and the mgmt is disrespectful. If it were up to me I would let every long term employee go. The example set for employees there must be horrible. I have never had an issue at McDonald's in the past and have even eaten at this location a handful of times without complaint. Tonight I am extremely frustrated. I ordered a happy meal for my 5 year-old son who was in the car. I handed it back to him and imagine my surprise when he opened his chicken nuggets and instead of nuggets it was full of tarter sauce. He started crying and it poured out all over the car and his carseat. I assume this was an ill-fated prank, but as it made my 5 yo cry it was not appreciated and I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on. read more

This McDonald's is terrible. They closed the lobby so we sat in a drive-thru line that was running 1 car at a time for 20 minutes. We finally got up to the sign to order and were told, "we're not taking orders right now". Seriously terrible service. Since the pandemic started I know things have changed and everyone is short on help but if your hours state that you open at 6 a.m. then you need to be OPEN!!!!! very alarming experience and probably the WORST experience I've ever had at any restaurant/fast food establishment. EVER. on 2/6/19 around 8 pm, while going through the drive thru, it took 10 minutes from the time I ordered until the time I got to the first window where you pay. then I waited another 30 minutes until I got to the second window to receive my food. SO a total of 40 minutes!! If I hadn't already paid I would have driven away. while finally at the second window to receive the food, there was an altercation between a male and female employee inside-they were screaming (and I mean SCREAMING)obscenities at each other-ignoring the long line of people in the drive thru behind me and the customers inside at the counter. I saw as people inside stood at the counter with no employee manning it, as I waited at the food pick up window. As the screaming continued people inside looked afraid-some left. One woman requested a refund and then someone came to the register to refund her. Then it all started up again, the same male employee went to the back and started screaming again at others saying "do your f***ing job b****!" But he was not waiting on customers himself!! It was all very bizarre and uncomfortable. Thinking back- I should have called the police because this was a very worrisome scene that was escalating over and over again. I would have driven away but I kept thinking "ill get served the second I drive away" and I had two hungry kids in the car... PLUS! id already paid!! I didn't even request a refund because I was happy to leave as soon as possible. there aren't any places Ill "never" go back to but I can honestly say, Ill never go back as safety was a concern there!! ive contacted the manager via email but haven't been contacted back. read more
