[[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a quaint/very small coffee shop.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It does have a small courtyard outside next to it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was great, but I'm a coffee snob and was not impressed with the flavor of the espresso I got. It seemed acidic and didn't have the smooth taste of high quality coffee.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Cute coffee shop right off King Street![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Options for coffees, teas, and even alcoholic drinks available. Infused water and alternate milks available for self serve. Found the service to be slightly stand-offish and slow, there were a lot of people waiting for drinks. Nonetheless my chai was delicious and warm on a cool morning.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Stopped in this small, busy, cute shop while walking around Charleston.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Lots of options and flavors to choose from including many seasonal options. I had a maple cinnamon latte and my sister had maple cinnamon cold brew with maple cold foam. Both drinks were very tasty and you could really taste the flavors. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat outside in the lovely seating area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Was walking back to my car and saw a sign for this place. Stopped in and asked the barista for a drink recommendation and she suggested the iced rosemary rise latte. I never thought to have rosemary in a latte but it was really good! Prices were standard for downtown. Coffee was very smooth, not sweet, I enjoyed it! They also had some snacks in the refrigerated case, which I got but will try in a day or two. Glad I stopped in! J.Ja

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Oh my goodness what a cute little coffee enclave!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I left the hotel wanted to find a proper latte while laying over in Charleston, SC and came across The Rise Coffee Bar. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Everything about the experience was 5 star! The ambience, the decor, the service... even the weather was perfect that day![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I remember sitting outside in peace and quiet simply enjoying my oatmilk latte and the natural greenery![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] That experience set an amazing tone for the very busy day that lay ahead of me! Please visit if you're ever in Charleston you will love it!!

This isn't Europe, but it sure tastes like it. The rise Coffee Bar at The Restoration hotel brings European-style café vibes to the heart of Downtown. They serve a signature blend brewed just for guests (thanks to Foresight Coffee Roasters), paired with fresh handmade pastries by Little Peanut Bake Shop that are absolutely worth the stop. Don't miss their new seasonal menu and happy hour... yes, coffee shops can do happy hour too. (M-F 2-4pm).

Delicious coffee and matcha! Breakfast sandwiches weren't the best I've had but it was convenient. The staff is very friendly and attentive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside is adorable and there are a few places to sit -- it's usually pretty busy![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]A cute little coffee bar near King Street to get you some fuel before the start of your day.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We arrived around 11:30 AM and the breakfast sandwiches were sadly sold out. We opted for the ham croissant. I wish they had more protein options as the croissant was super buttery. The worked were very nice and helped us pick other good breakfast options. I enjoyed their cold brew and the inside is a tiny, cute coffee bar with some seating. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have a good amount of seats outside to enjoy your breakfast.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This was a great little coffee shop! Coffee was great but we did wait for about 10-15 minutes for our drinks. It was worth the wait though. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Quiet environment with seating to enjoy your coffee.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

A 3 minute walk from our B&B. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Busy, not much space to sit indoors, but a beautiful outdoor patio.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The baristas answered our questions but were not friendly. Put a damper on our experience. I had a hot vanilla almond latte, my husband a hot caramel toffee latte. On the sweet side, but delicious!

The Rise Coffee Bar is the perfect stop for a coffee, tea, or a small bite to eat. I got a Honey Lavender Latte and it was great. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They had a lot of fun seasonal flavors and had a nice seating area to sit for a drink, study, or talk with a friend.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The latte was 5.50 and I would try a seasonal flavor again if I was in town! The staff was very friendly and helped me pick the right drink that wasn't too sweet.

Iced coffee was refreshing I came back the next morning for another round. It was flavorful yet not sugary. It definitely gave me a kick and got addicted to it, except I'm only in the area for 4 days. Staff and manager were friendly yet professional. Although I was charged twice, the manager assured me they would fix it once the line was manageable. Somehow I trusted her word for it, just the manner with which she handled it was text book! Indeed, saw the overcharged taken care of by the next day. A must stop in downtown historic Charleston for sure! Great awesome pastries, sandwiches Parisian style made and clean refreshing breakfast beverages. Luckily, we were able to be seated immediately but it was very close quarters with surrounding tables. The menu is vast with different dessert options. If you want to know what cakes are available, you should check out the display stand right when you enter. Since we were there 2.5 hours before closing, there didn't seem to be a lot of cake options available, but my husband and I decided to share a slice of the s'mores cake with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream to make it à la mode. The s'mores cake was a chocolate cake with mini marshmallows, chocolate fudge, graham crackers, and more marshmallows. The cake was good and had everything I could ever want in it, but it was a little dry. I think this also had to do with it being the end of the night. The ice cream complemented the flavor well. It would have been better with a second scoop of ice cream though. Service was great! It took about 10 minutes from when we ordered to get our dessert. I would probably come back here again, but not so late at night so there would be fresher cake with more options available.

We waited about 5 to 10 minutes to be acknowledged while two employees stood nearby. The two layer chocolate caramel pecan cake, which our waitress initially could not find, was dry and tasted stale. I would not order it again. The Tollhouse pie was a bit better, but the presentation and the whipped cream were the standouts, and the whipped cream wasn't even homemade! That's the best thing I could say about our experience. The food, pricing, service, and ambiance all fell below average. When you are located downtown with so many great dessert options around, you really need to step up your game. We will not be returning.

This was our first stop after arriving in Charleston and I knew I wanted to return. I first visited Bitty & Beau's back in 2021 during a trip to South Carolina and was immediately positively overwhelmed by the mission, people, and atmosphere. Since then, I've also visited the Savannah location, so bringing my friends here felt like a non-negotiable part of our Charleston itinerary. Thankfully, they were more than happy to indulge me. While we all came for coffee, none of us actually ordered plain coffee. Instead, we opted for lattes and other specialty beverages, all of which were delicious. What surprised me most was that throughout the rest of our trip, despite visiting several other coffee shops, my friends repeatedly said Bitty & Beau's was their favorite. High praise considering Charleston has no shortage of excellent cafes! For those unfamiliar with Bitty & Beau's, the company is dedicated to employing individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, creating meaningful employment opportunities while fostering inclusion and acceptance. As a School Psychologist who works with students of varying abilities, this place holds a special place in my heart. The coffee is great, the merchandise is fun, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the smiles are contagious. Four years after my first visit, I'm happy to report that Bitty & Beau's remains just as magical as I remembered. The world needs more places like this. Five stars for Bitty & Beau's. I remembered enjoying it during my first stay, so naturally I had to return. This time around I stopped by twice during our two-night stay. On my first visit, I was tempted by the limited-time LoveShackFancy collaboration and ordered the Pistachio Rose Matcha Cloud Latte. It sounded amazing: house-made pistachio rose syrup, your choice of milk, topped with fluffy matcha cold foam and rose petals. Unfortunately... it was way (way) too sweet. And this is coming from someone who usually likes sweet drinks. At $10, I powered through it, but it definitely wasn't for me. My friend ordered another one of the collaboration drinks and did not finish hers because it was overwhelmingly sweet. Thankfully, my second visit redeemed everything. I went back to an old favorite - an iced matcha latte - and it was just what I was hoping for. Service was excellent during both visits. While the cafe seems to remain pretty popular, it wasn't overwhelmingly crowded. I still love the atmosphere here. It's such a great place to grab a drink before heading out to explore Charleston or while staying at the Emeline. Lesson learned: sometimes the specials are worth trying... and sometimes it's best to stick with your favorite!
