Getting into this one is frustrating because if you don't enter from the Clark side, as opposed to the Ashland side, it's awkward getting into the drive-through and much of the parking. But it's one of the closest to my house so when I was living off of their smoothies when I couldn't really stomach much else, I stopped here once or twice. Like most it's open 24 hours. When you're exiting, especially if you exit onto Clark, take care because Andersonville is full of walkers and you'll need to watch out for pedestrians. read more

I ordered a 6 piece chicken nugget and when I got home there were 3 chocolate chip cookies in the package... I always check my bag before leaving because they usually forget sauces, but I didn't realize I had to check each individual wrapped item now, too. The food is ALWAYS hit or miss here; whether the bun is stale, the burger is room temperature/not fresh, or the fries are over cooked and you can tell they've been sitting out for awhile. If anyone from this location sees this, your management needs to be overlooking the staff here a little more closely to make sure the orders are correct and food is freshly made every time. The signage does not make it clear when they stop accepting mobile orders or in-store orders. So, as other reviewers mentioned, you can place an order or just stop by based on its hours of operation just to find out it is drive-through only. And their store management policies are ridiculous. At one point, they only had one of the two restrooms working. ****BEWARE- AVOID THIS LOCATION!!*** We stopped to order food to go. The only parking was at one of the mobile pick up spots. The other spots were full or handicap. The signage on the parking says you only have 10 minutes or they boot your car. I figured since we were customers we would be ok. We were ordering through the McD's app and we had a problem with the app and our order. Our hot drinks were cold and there were missing items. It took longer than 10 minutes to get our food and when we went outside our car was booted. The booting pirate emerged from a parked vehicle and demanded we pay the $170 fine!! We showed him our receipt with the food in our hands and he even went inside to talk to a manager to either release our car or to see if we were indeed customers. The manager did not care and he told us we were on the hook for the fine!! It was cold and we had our 8 y/o daughter but after some convincing the pirate had a change of heart and released our car. Since the city wasn't involved, I don't know what would have happened if he did not release our car but it would have gotten ugly. An hour and a half later at around 4:30am, after 5 Uber Drivers later, no update, no notification, my order gets canceled. I call to confirm what happened and the supervisor who answered the phone claimed they never received my order. My son loves some chicken nuggets and this location is pretty good for fresh hot kids meals- fries and all. The staff is very friendly and it's always super busy, but somehow the line keeps moving. Sometimes we get a duplicate toy and there is no problem with exchanging it (as there are at other locations). What a shitty place ... outside! I only get coffee here, never the food, but the issue is parking. They have a lovely parking lot, but get this: there are 14 parking spaces, but 8 of them are marked as handicapped spots, while 3 are for drive-in window overflow, where customers wait for their orders. That leaves just 3 spaces for people to park. But wait! There's some guy who has everything he owns stuffed into his vehicle (including a large cooler, a bike, and a lawn mower strapped to the top); worst of all, he often double parks, further reducing parking space for others. And this guy is present every morning for several hours and sometimes acts in an intimidating manner toward customers. Management does not seem concerned about it. I simply cannot believe what happened to me at this McDonald's. It's so ridiculous that it's sort of funny at the same time. I will say the food at this McDonald's is usually good but the manager is another story. I had just come out of the dentist office and was going to text my son a picture of the business card from the dentist listing my next appointment. I placed the card from the dentist on the counter and snapped a picture of it with my phone and texted it to my son. As the manager (that's who he said he was) handed me my order he rudely asks me what I was taking pictures of. I didn't think anything of it and said that I was texting a picture of my dentist's business card to my son. He walks around to the area of the counter where I took the picture to inspect it as if I had found something wrong, perhaps the counter was dirty or there was something he did not want a picture taken of and tells me that I am not supposed to be taking pictures there. I commented to him that there was no sign prohibiting the taking of pictures, even though I had only taken a picture of my dentist's appoint reminder card. Then I asked him why he was so concerned about me taking pictures on the counter, was there something wrong that he didn't want me to capture in a pictures. Then out of nowhere the manager says "there is something wrong with YOU". I paused for a second, it caught me totally off guard. I asked him why he would say that to customer and he said that I told him there was something wrong with him which I did not. I simply stated that there must be something wrong there if he didn't want me taking pictures. Then one of the ladies in back of the counter starts telling him "no vale la pena" in reference to arguing with me. "No vale la pena" means it's not worth it. I also speak Spanish but I guess due to my light complexion they assumed I was a gringo because they were talking about me in Spanish. So I then said "Sí, no vale la pena" agreeing with the lady saying "yes, it's not worth it". He is going to get a complaint to McD's corporate and a bad review for his store. And it's awfully suspicious that he got so paranoid when he saw me taking a picture. What was going on there? read more

Getting help is slow. Most of the tables were very dirty with food on them from previous patrons...they don't clean them very often. The cashier won't take your order if you are using a credit card...so you are forced to use the kiosks which are never sanitized...and there are no table numbers as required by the order system in order to complete your order. The fries are cooked way ahead and just sit there (like at least 20 or 30 orders already bagged and ready under hot lights), meaning you get limp fries that are not very hot...actually the burger was not hot either. This place needs new management. It's a great location, but not very good. Don't waste your time. read more

I like this particular location because it's situated along Clark Street-close to a lot of other venues. What makes McDonald's Lincoln Park unique is their dollar menu. The cheap eats include McDoubles, Cheeseburgers and Chicken. The drive through on the other hand is a little confusing because it winds way behind the store but lacks a well painted lane to show you which way to go. The restaurant is pretty clean inside though. The front of the store has large four person tables which face Clark. There are 3 booths near the ordering line. I don't usually eat inside but rather take my food to go. Finally, in my experience the service has also been pretty fast. read more

I was on my way home when a wave of sluggishness hit me that I knew only coffee could fix. But there wasn't a Starbucks to be found...which, being in Lincoln Park, you know is a total lie. Look, I could either go two blocks south or one block north for Starbucks but I was on my block and didn't want to do either. Okay then. McDonald's it is. First thing I noticed when I walked in is that it had been remodeled. Spiffy. I approached the counter as normal but came to a screeching halt as I looked to the left and saw kiosks. Touchscreen ordering kiosks. This is it, people. This is how it begins. We've seen the movies. One day you're ordering fries from kiosks, the next day Siri's accusing you of cheating with Alexa, and your toaster's trying to lasso you with its extension cord. This is Skynet, and the only person equipped to save us from impending doom is Linda Hamilton. Or Will Smith, who can apparently save the world from anything. On the other hand, you could just go up to the counter with cash and talk to an actual person. It's up to you. Yay, options!
