Disappointing Experience at McDonald's on Broadway, Chula Vista I had a truly frustrating experience at this location on 8/22/25 I arrived during a busy lunch hour and was directed to use the kiosk due to the long line. I placed my order at 12:27 PM, but the kiosk failed to print a receipt, so I had to request one from the front counter. After sitting down, I noticed several customers receiving their food--even those who ordered after me. By 12:53 PM, my order number still hadn't appeared on the screen. I approached the counter, where multiple customers were already expressing frustration with the service. When I asked about my order, the employee named Gabby snatched the receipt from my hand without a word. Several nearby customers even commented on how rude that was. Gabby then walked to the kitchen and said in Spanish, "I need four chicken strips please," which made it clear my order hadn't even been started. After waiting another four minutes, I had no choice but to cancel--I was on my lunch break and couldn't afford to wait any longer. This experience was unacceptable: 26 minutes for a simple order that hadn't even been initiated, paired with dismissive and disrespectful customer service. I hope management addresses both the operational delays and the need for basic courtesy toward paying customers. read more

Gave them my code and took my points away then claim it was to give me points when i was trying to redeem my rewards and now i lost points because they messed up on there end and weren't even being considerate on giving me my order correctly! the manger and the worker were very rude making me feel like i was dumb and i messed up! read more

I only come to this McDonald's because it's the only one with an outdoor Playground for the children. Otherwise I wouldn't waste my time. The customer service totally sucks. Just trying to get a refill is almost impossible. They tell you, "I can't do it. I'm going on my lunch break" then you can't get to the bathroom without finding someone to get a token to go to the restroom. More than half the time I have to just use the machine to order the food myself because you can never get any customer service. This is one of the worst franchise McDonald's I've ever been to in my life. Horrible. read more

I did a mobile order on 7/16/25 around 10pm last night and went to go pick it up when i arrived there was a line of cars no one was answering at the drive through so I went to look inside and there were 2 male employees sitting down and 1 girl cleaning I knocked on the window and one of they guys said it was closed even though the sign on the door says drive through closes at midnight . I waited for about 15 minutes for no help !!! Now I have to wait to be refunded because this place failed to provide correct business hours ! read more

I come here primarily for Breakfast from time to time. I get asked everytime I come by if I am using the app but I wasn't. Recently I did install the app and use it and It seems like it's way better than it was before, more fine tuned. The daily perks are really good and range from $1 Coffee to $7 Big Mac Combo Meal with Medium Fries and Drink. This review was a solid 2 stars untill I went for a refill on my coffee. At that point it dropped to a 1when the gal with the frown didn't acknowledge my presence. It seemed to me she'd rather be somewhere else. It turned out that place was the restroom. I realized maybe she had diarrhea and for gave her. Then along came a beautiful young smiling girl with a butterfly tatoo. I can't see butterfly without thinking of my younger sister Kay. A story you'll have to read elsewhere. This gal elevated my rating up to 3 stars. I was not impressed with the cleanliness of the restaurant. I'm not one of those people that carry disinfectant wipes into a restaurant. On this visit I wish I was. The place wasn't filthy, but it would be nice if the wiped down the tables between customers. They were busy I get that so I wiped my own table. There not busy now but I don't see anyone out here straightening up. I ordered table service because at 68 and missing a toe I don't get around as good as I used to. So I thought for the price I pay for food in restaurant those days they should bring it to me. They did not. I went to inquire about my food when it didn't arrive at my table in five minuets. It was sitting amongst the mobile orders. I'm slightly hearing impaired so I may not have heard my number called. That doesn't excuse them for not bringing it to my table as requested Next my biscuit Mcmuffin was sloppily assembled. How hard can it be to neatly place a piece of sausage neatly on a muffin. It didn't ruin my day rather it gave me something to write about. I prefer to write positive reviews so here's what they got right: my coffee was fresh and hot, my sausage McMuffin tasted better than it looked, hashbrown was earmish but tasty, I received everything I asked for ketchup hotsauce mayo salt pepper napkins fork knife coffee stick, Creamer and equal. Note to manager many restaurants have read reviews like mine and used them to get higher star ratings. I hope you'll take my comments and use them. I'm not a regular here yet when I've been here several times I expect your crew to call me by name. Also you should thank that beautiful young gal with the butterfly tatoo. I suggest that you hire her to train employees how to treat customers As far as ambiance goes may I suggest that you play some traditional country music over the intercom. We stopped by here because I had to use the bathroom before heading back home from our trip to San Diego. Their bathroom need a coin to unlock the door so I decided to put in a order of French fries and a coke. I used my mcdonald app to use the deal and my friend got his sandwich. After we ordered, I asked for the coin to use the bathroom and they told me it was broken. Our food took about 10 minutes to come out and they forgot our drinks so we had to ask for it. It is freezing in side this dining room..I asked the clerk to ask the manager to turn off the air-conditioned and turn on the heater and he said he couldn't that they have to keep it on,something about the heater. WARNING: Go to another location!!! After waiting 10 minutes for my order curbside; I went inside to get my order. I waited for an employee so I could ask the status of my order. I asked the lady working up front and she said it was not ready since there was no food and they had a long line at the drive through. I told her I understand the long line but I have been waiting for 10 minutes. So I have been waiting as well. She told me I would have to wait longer so they could finish the drive thru and lobby orders first. I asked what was the purpose of a mobile order if all other orders came first; using her logic my order would take longer every time someone ordered. I asked to speak to a manager and she informed me she was the manager. Her name was Beatrice. So she told me again I will have to wait. Never once did she apologize for the wait or tell me she would check on my order. In fact even though she was handing out all the orders she had someone else give me mine. Once I opened my order I noticed it had diced onions like the hamburgers not slivered onion. I informed Beatrice but she told me it is not breakfast anymore since it was past 10:30 am now and I would have to take it like that! Total time of 20 minutes for my order. My receipt on the bag had a sticker stating "Double Checked for accuracy." What a joke this location is. Steak Bagel was super greasy!!! I never had one look as poor as this one. I checked YELP and this McDonald's has a 1.5 Star rating. McDonald's used to care more about the franchises and how they operated. I pulled in for a cup of coffee this morning and instead of wasting gas in the drive through , I would walk in. Then I noticed several homeless people hanging around the door not wearing masks. They had to close this location a month ago and sterilize the place for a week because two workers tested positive for the virus. As a scientist, I'll have to warn you . This is health risk you don't want to take .!the virus could be on your bag or in your food! It's McDonald's drive thru's that are the real problem. Each car emits about 750 cubic feet per minute of very polluted air every minute. Each car spends on average about 10 minutes in their drive thru. Add that up with all of McDonald's drive thru's worldwide and you have 80 billion cubic feet of polluted air being added to our very thin layer of atmosphere every day. I had never ate at this location before so curious so see where i was located i checked yelp only to see it has a 1.5 star rating & the reviews were quite negative. That scared me because my order had already been placed & i didn't wanna go through the hassle of making a new order as it was late already. Surprisingly my order came neatly and carefully packaged, in less than 20 minutes & with every part of the meal being accurate. Once again, I was fooled by this McDonald's into believing they were competent. They aren't. I ordered online and customized my quarter pounder with cheese deluxe by omitting mayo and pickle. I received a regular quarter pounder, that means no lettuce or tomato, and hey put extra mayo. The label they put on the box holding the burger clearly showed what was supposed to be in the box. And then the people that were hanging out the food couldn't even be bothered to put a ranch dressing inside the bag after we had asked several times for it. Ask for strawberry shake and just a little bit of Oreo cookie on top he couldn't do that he couldn't put the ranch dressing in there for the chicken nuggets. It's always something with you guys. I guess customers is not always right with you guys. People don't ask for a lot they work hard for their money it wouldn't have killed you to throw a little bit of Oreo cookies on top of a shake he didn't have to mix it in. This place is the worst. They simply don't care about you. Most of the employees don't even speak English, so it's hard to communicate cause I don't speak Spanish. I'd assume English would be a requirement. I ordered via the kiosk and when it didn't give me a receipt, I asked the lady at the counter. She didn't speak English so she just walked away and started taking food to cars. I finally stopped her when she came back in and asked for a receipt again. My dining experience here was very good considering it's McDonald's. I wanted to try the Swiss mushroom burger. I dined in and ordered the double version. The combo came out to under 10 bucks and the burger was good and freshly prepared. It had Swiss cheese, mushrooms, fried onions. The beef burgers were good too. The young lady working the front was very polite and efficient. Unfortunately she was the only one working the front area. I received my order quick but it began to get busy with a dinner rush and grub hub orders. She did her best while trying to keep a smile. Forgot her name but someone should gives her a raise or at least hire more people to handle that dinner rush. read more

The jabroni working the drive thru that handles the transactions needs an attitude adjustment by beating. He didn't want to ring up a milkshake by saying there was some but then quickly changed it to they didn't have them so no biggie. However, when we got to the front window to get our food, the nice lady said there was some; the momo just didn't want to ring it up. He needs to be fired, though I don't think he has enough skills to work elsewhere. I have been going to McDonald's for over 50 years. I have travelled the world and always make a point of stopping at a McDonald's in every country I've visited. I am now in San Diego and frequented many McDonald's, primarily Drive-Thru. The location at 619 Broadway, Chula Vista has the worst customer service. My order is seldomly correct. I order a diet coke and I get a regular coke, I order unsweet ice tea and I get a sweet ice tea, I order a cheese burger and I get a hamburger, I order a sausage egg McMmuffin and I get it without egg. When I go in to correct the order, I'm made to feel like I am in the wrong. I get reprimanded or spoken down to, not only by the employee but also the management. They are rude and inconsiderate. It would be nice if they were to get some training in customer service, as well as following instructions. I'll avoid the convenience of the location and go 5 miles out of my way from now on. read more
