I really hate to complain but sometimes you just have to. So here goes! They are lucky that one star is the lowest possible rating. I work out of state so I pass this place on my drive. I often have my child with me and have had the unpleasure of having to stop at this mcdonalds on three different occasions. The first two times sucked but I had hoped that this third(which will be my last ever) would finally not suck. Nope! Wrong. Still awful. Can't discern if the "fries" they gave me are actually fries or if they are cold rubber. It's debatable. And I am leaning toward the latter. All three times we have come the coke "doesn't work". I've came three times over a year and a half period. HOW does that happen? I don't believe in that much coincidence. The customer service(if we can even call it that) is by far the worst I've had the misfortune of receiving. They don't listen and when I tried telling the girl at the last window that what was given to me was not what I asked for she looked at me like I was an idiot and said absolutely nothing, let the window close and turned around. What?! Like what is actually going on here? It honestly blows my mind that this store has managed to stay open. I can only assume that there is enough truly desperate people in the area that are forced to eat at this McDonald's that help bring enough profit in to keep their doors open. It's trash. That is the kindest, G-rated word I can find to describe this place. read more

If your in a hurry this is not the place to go, even during off peak time!! Only 1 person making the food and 3 people standing in the front watching her. New and fairly nice (for a McDonalds). Three bathrooms and two of them were out of order. Mhm. We were waiting in the drive-thru line and a car in front of us was taking forever to get their order. My car only had 3 large sweet teas, so an employee came out and gave them to us while we were at the paying window so that we could get on the road again quicker, which I thought was extremely thoughtful. My expectations for McDonalds already are not high; however, this experience has been one of the worst experiences EVER in one of the restaurants. Not only was the staff so incredibly rude and unhelpful, but the restaurant doesnt look like it has been cleaned for quite some time. Its absolutely disgusting and smells bad around the ordering counter. And would it kill ANY McDonalds employee to acknowledge that you thanked them?! Like I said, my expectations are never high when I enter a McDonalds restaurant, but this store should have some major retraining on customer service and health code standards. I almost cancelled my order due to the above, but Ive been driving for 9 hours and decided to suck it up. This company should really step up their program. read more

If I could give this zero stars, I would. I have never seen any restaurant so disgustingly dirty. Stopped in during a road trip and took the kids straight into the bathroom. Both toilets were so disgusting, they were unusable. Then we walked out and while waiting in line to order we noticed the state of the rest of the restaurant. Tables weren't wiped down, a pile of dropped (and stepped on) fries sat on the floor and trash cans were overflowing. I was telling my husband we'd have to find another restroom to use and another woman in line agreed with me. That's when we decided we'd leave and head across the street to Wendys. read more

Each time I stop that this Mcdonald's the staff is super friendly and all have a great attitude. This is rare in fast food, especially lately. I travel a lot and this is one of my favorite places to stop while on the road. read more

This has to be the worst McDonalds on the planet. I live close by and each time I stop by there it's absolutely terrible. The next time my kid wants McDonalds I think, surely there's no way they could be any worse than last time, and every time they somehow manage to lower the bar even more. Even if you are the only person in the drive thru they will have you go park just so they can bring the food out to you 8 minutes later and cold. No matter how many times you call the home office number on the receipt and leave a voicemail explaining why they suck so bad there is never any improvement. This has to be the worst McDonald's I have ever visited. Not only are they the slowest possible employees, they have the nastiest attitudes and don't care if you know it. There is always a drive thru line wrapped around the building and tons of people waiting inside. We waited approximately 15 minutes for a Happy Meal. If you're headed east on I-26 I would bypass this place and stop at the Hardee's a few exits up the road & I don't even like Hardee's. read more

It's McDonald's, I know, but this was one of the worst we've visited. Our table was filthy. I used a wet wipe to wipe down the area where my daughter would be eating and the wipe was black. Our order took so long to get, because they kept taking my husband's food off our tray to give to other people. And while we were eating outside, an employee came by for a pre-shift smoke, blowing it right in our direction. So thoughtful. read more

A terrible McDonalds! We dined inside. 3 times I heard the woman at the counter say she was "short-staffed." Waited a very, very long time for 2 sandwiches; if we hadn't already paid, we would've left. As we left, driving through the parking lot, there was a long line at the drive-through. The outside menu was missing some of the menu panel signs so the fluorescent bulbs were exposed. Interesting that while the counter help complained of being short staffed there was a worker standing outside smoking. Wonder what Ray Kroc would do if he visited this McDonalds! read more

This is the worst McDonalds I've ever been to. The smell is pungent, indescribable and nausea inducing. After I ordered I noticed multiple flies flying around a fly poop infested "order here" sign. It seemed like all of about 2 people were working due to the incredibly long wait at 7pm on a Tuesday with hardly any customers. Customer service surely is not this restaurants strong point! I haven't been here in over a year, know I know why! Most McDonald's will make one pancake for a kid, but nope not this one she laughed when I asked her. Looks like I will be cooking back at the hunting log cabin again. To start, the bathroom floor was wet (without a wet floor sign) and I almost slipped. There was toilet paper hanging on my bathroom stall instead of the empty canister and the sink was disgusting. Then I go to order, there's trash in a pile on the floor like it was swept to the side and forgotten, no ones even near the register so we give up and use the kiosk. Our parents food was called first, but the wrong number. They were unsure and trying to ask the staff questions, which were answered with rudeness. They finally were told it was their food, but they had to ask for their drinks for 10 minutes. Their food was cold by the time they got drinks. As for our food, we got it but no drinks. We practically begged for our drinks. This happened to every group of customers for the 45 minutes we spent there. All of our burgers were undercooked and burnt, fries were burnt, the only saving grace was the perfect Nuggets. If only I hadn't had to go up and beg for my sauce for them as well. The icing on the cake was the absolutely horrendous customer service we witnessed. A lady came in who got the wrong order, instead of just giving her the correct order a gentlemen in the back yelled "You nasty! I bagged that myself!" and the supposed "manager" did nothing and kicked the poor woman out the store. Every single customer in that dining room will never return to this McDonalds. read more

This has consistently been the worst McDonalds I've ever visited. I pass by here frequently and usually won't stop but about once a year I do and they never fail to do a poor job. Today it took 20 minutes to get a BEC biscuit and an Iced Caramel Mocha, they weren't even busy..4:30 PM When I ordered the ICED Mocha the clerk asked if I wanted it hot or cold. Dirty tables and floor. Drink machine is covered with sticking syrup buildup on levers and backsplash. (SC DHEC says those are "Non-Contact Food" areas SO as long as the nozzles are passable, no points will be taken off (Says ALOT of how slack SC DHEC can be). Trash cans at main entrance overflowing onto floor...Not a slave driver, but it wasn't busy, and there were THREE employees sitting on their butts texting while the manager was yelling incoherently in the kitchen at someone. Saw a person with a full-leg air cast and crutches wait 10 minutes to get her meal. Bathrooms are often out of soap and the toilets nasty. According to SC DHEC, this resturant has been DOWNGRADED many times. WHY therefore doesn't McDonald's corporate, being this is a Gate-Way location at the intersection/merging of TWO INTERSTATE Highways (I-26 and I-385 which connect with I-20, I-40, and I 85 within 60 to 80 miles) GO IN and TAKE this STORE OVER!. It is supposed to be 24 hours anyway BUT the former owners (They were BAD but the latest are even WORSE!) NOR the current are following company protocol. The only thing that are going to "FIX" this place is for someone to shoot a video and put it online OR someone gets sick and SUES McDees for everything they can get!. BUT this isn't the only BAD resturant at this exit.(Wendy's recently got a B and WELL, Hardees FOOD is just inedible anywhere. Even the Waffle House is perhaps the WORST I've ever been too and I've been to a few.). The Seafood resturant is good BUT a little pricey and the Subway at the Pilot Truckstop, WELL, it's a Subway. If you're hungry and headed toward or from either one of these interstates, there's a Zaxby's at Hwy 72 soon to be joined by a brand new Arby's. Otherwise, you take your health at risk to dine on Hwy 56 Clinton, SC!..Avoid this turnoff! read more

Worst McD experience of my life! The heat and humidity inside makes for horrendous working conditions so i can somewhat understand why the employees are struggling to be organized. On the other hand...soda machine wasn't working- the employees knew about it but continued to pass out empty cups to customers. Orders were distributed in portions or sat cold on the prep counters while waiting for completion. An older woman who was cleaning up the broken down soda/ condiment area argued with me that the tea was sweetened when it was marked as unsweetened. I couldn't comprehend anything she said other than "IT IS SWEETENED" so I believed her. Guess what? UNSWEETENED!! Went to the counter to get my drinks filled and the worker rolled her eyes at me and slammed my drinks down after filling them. After 15 minutes i finally received 2 happy meals without the fries! Then had to wait an additional 10 for the fries - ah cold chicken! One star is being kind! read more

I have had several bad experiences at this location. The management was terrible until they got this lady that works in the mornings, she is terrific, but must have the worst help possible. This morning there were no lights on in the parking lot at 5:30, says they open at 5:00. Then I pulled up to the drive thru, which was lit up, and no one ever took my order. I pulled around to the window and saw no one. I went around to look at the door to make sure they were supposed to be open and an employee going in the door told me they did not open until 6. This coupled with the frappe machine that is down a lot, having to wait for food an unreasonable amount of time, etc has really put a bad taste in my mouth about this location. read more
