Second time we ate there. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Slow service, not very clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I love the huddle house Philly omelet but this time while the amount of meat was very nice, the amount of cheese, onions and green peppers were minuscule. Hubby had a bowl that he said was very filling. Hash browns were crispy as promised. Food was just okay. Wowzers!!!! Ok so we came here on our way to a job on Veterans Day so my hubby could get his free meal, which we greatly appreciate. He truly loves being honored once a year and it's well deserved to all who have served! Thank you to those who have! Ok, now for my review. lol I'll start with the positive. The food was good, hot and fresh. A few minor things like my hashbrowns didn't have the cheese I ordered on them, my eggs were a little on the runny side and my hubbys were a little over cooked (we both got scrambled with cheese), and no apple butter for the raisin toast, but overall very good! The service was good, a little slow, but very nice staff of 3. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was clean and got an A on their health inspection.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They weren't packed but fairly busy for 3 employees.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Ok for the negative...... My husband got the free MVP meal. They charged us an extra $1.29 for the raisin toast and $1.89 for cheese on his eggs. almost $2 for a slice of government cheese??? The amount we paid for cheese on this visit could have bought at least a pound of government cheese or more, in THIS economy!!! lol But seriously! I only ordered 2 scrambled eggs with cheese and hashbrowns with cheese. My daughter and grandson shared the MVP with cheese eggs and cheese grits (they only charged $1.29 for the cheese in the grits ‍). My husband got a coffee and my daughter a sweet tea. I had water. We weren't offered any refills, at that price! With the "free Veteran's Day MVP" we still spent $36.30 plus I tip on the original price so another $10, for breakfast, at Huddle House, when 1 person was supposed to be getting a free meal. His free meal cost $6.47 plus tax and tip. That's high even for 2024! Was actually shocked at the price. Definitely won't be doing that again. We will drive to Another Broken Egg or something. Stopped here for late dinner after trying to eat at Waffle House first (which was packed and filthy and staff was rude). SO GLAD we came here instead!!!! Awful service couldn't even get a drink refill , for granted we did have a fairly large party about (15 people) we waited 2 hours and half our party had food the rest didn't or were missing things .. as my child is upset because she is hungry .. we had to leave and get Hardee's .. also they waitress was very rude and when asked about our food she proceeded to look at my husband and say "yall do have a large party of 30" then says "I don't know if they are making yalls food". Simply pathetic!!! If I could give them zero stars I would! I'm just going to say that they were simply poor all around. They were having staffing problems so I understand the poor service and their inability to even open the restaurant to people, but my gripe is with the quality of the food. This is supposed to be a newer restaurant but, as soon as I stepped in the door, it reeked of oil. I ordered a Classic Patty Melt Burger, a Mega Bacon Cheese HuddleBurger and a Ribeye & Shrimp Dinner and everything was, in a word, "Pathetic"! The burgers were burnt to a crisp on the outside, the buns were soggy, the shrimp was like chewing rubber, the French fries were soggy and obviously from a bag of frozen. The taste was simply grungy and lousy, and the burgers were tiny for the price. Worst of all was that one burger bun had mold on it! After seeing that, I had to just throw it away! I wrote to the home office and ... CRICKETS!!! I have yet to hear a peep from any body whatsoever! Not the home office, nor the franchise owner...NOTHING!!! Hygiene and/or franchise-reputation is obviously meaningless to these guys?! Needless to say, I will NOT be buying from ANY Huddle House EVER again! read more

I decided to give the Huddle House one more chance after a previous bad service,BIG MISTAKE. The service was extremely slow and once I got my order after 40 minutes. The food was nasty. Hash browns wasn't fully cooked, the waffle was worse than frozen waffles and my toast was soggy. (Should have separate from the steaming hot food) Never Again read more

The service was terrible. She was very conceited and rude. Literally forgot about us. We sat there with no drinks or silverware after SOMEONE ELSE handed us our (unappetizing) plates for minutes before wandering around and finding plasticware. Their grits were spitting-it-out terrible. Their appetizer with fries, mozzarella sticks, fried jalapeño bites and fried pickles was too small portion-wise and was burnt. Service has gotten considerably better but the food was horrible. I got breakfast and the only thing on the plate that was edible was the bacon. Went there last night. Usually, great. Last night, terrible! Biscuits and Gravy, Biscuits hard as a rock. My husband had the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich. When the brought it, it looked like a child's plate!! Very small sandwich and about maybe 12 French fries!! They are priced way to high for this!! Think they need a new cook!! We ate here on a Saturday around noon. The place was about half full. No one took our order for almost 15 min. We were on the verge of walking out. After the server got our drinks and order, it was 35 minutes before our food came. If the place has been full, I would have understood, but it was half full when we got there and less when we left. The only saving grace for this visit was that the food was good. Our server spent a good amount of time looking at her phone. I don't mind if there isn't much to do but there was plenty including taking our order. The other servers stood around and talked to each other near the cash register. The manager seemed to be trying and asked us twice to leave a review so I am doing as I said I would. I won't likely return. It just wasn't a good experience in my opinion. I had something called dinner on 1-28-23 at about 7. I walked n the restaurant. I sat down with my husband n my mother. I ordered ribeye steak n shrimp and my husband did as well. The waitress came n told me there was only one steak n I would have to order some else. I settled for a shrimp dinner. I was then told there was no more tea. I had to change drinks. When my dinner finally came, I asked for tartar sauce and that was out as well. Everything was out. I went to pay my bill and my plate was still listed as steak n shrimp. I was charged $19.99 for my shrimp dinner I didn't even get to eat. I'm done with this place read more
