Just because a store is in a certain geographic location does not mean that horrible customer service should be the acceptable norm. Instead of the manager barking out orders to everyone in line, a better approach would have been to have more customer service so that the experience would have been more pleasurable. Located on Old National Highway, this McDonald's is your standard Mickey D's that we all have come to love and loathe. I was travelling down Old National and saw the arches and decided to swing in for a mid morning coffee. The drive thru was empty, so I thought I had scored on wait time...but I was sadly mistaken. It took multiple minutes and me saying "hello" a few times before I got anyone on the speaker. Then I got an attitude as if I was bothering them. I could tell they were joking around, as in between her asking what I wanted her and a coworker can be heard laughing and going back and forth. After I had to repeat my order three times due to her inability to pay attention and combine that with the unnecessary wait time, I told her never mind and pulled out of the drive thru and back onto Old National. I am usually pretty lenient with service given today's staffing issues, but when the service is purposely poor, I don't have much room for that. I am not on Old National often, but when I find myself that way again...this McD's will not be on the schedule. read more

The girl who was working the night we went was absolutely amazing. She was taking care of everyone pretty much by herself. Despite the almost hour long line (one we couldn't physically leave), we got everything we asked for. It was cold but it was done properly. Only the fact that its a McDonald's is what earns it a 2.5 star. The staff at this location can vary from customer service focused to blatant disregard about anything other than accepting your food order and taking your payment. My last visit was a combination of the two, when I placed my order an the drive thru intercom, the order was taken correctly, total given, thanked and asked to drive around to the window. By the time I got around to the window, the person that was to take my money and give me my food was way more interested in an argument that was going on outside in the parking lot between two young ladies and the two young men they were with. I'll admit that I too paid attention to the fight in the parking lot to make sure it didn't escalate into gunfire with my car sitting center mass of it all. About six months ago, someone told me they got robbed while sitting in the drive thru at this location, but they were there around 2am and my visit was taking place at 6pm, so I wasn't worried about getting robbed as much as I was about getting shot. After making sure that the parking lot was not about to be shot up, he accepted my cash, asked me if I wanted to wait a minuite and get some hot fries. I did, and I did. Sure I'll go back.
