    "Toasted Cheddar Chalupa"
    LaToya R.

Welp I guess I shouldn't have had any expectations for this food but this is awful. They were out of chicken at 4:45pm (truck had just arrived) no biggie I ordered beef items instead. I asked for no tomatoes on everything and I guess that's how you get guarantee tomatoes because EVERYTHING HAD TOMATOES ON IT! My toasted chalupa was burnt, the soft tacos were soggy and the "5 layer" burrito was awful. I didn't have time to go back over there so there goes $20. I'll stick to the one on Jonesboro rd I'm never going to this one again!!!

All of the lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese just thrown in the bag.

These people do not want to work at night. Hire a whole new staff. They pretend they're closed far before the scheduled time.

Real Tacos was a great late-night stop and definitely lived up to the hype. We both ordered the $10…read moretaco meal (with a small $2 upcharge for some premium meats), and the value was excellent. I had the chicken and beef birria tacos with consommé, cilantro rice, and black beans. My partner went with the steak and al pastor tacos, Mexican rice, and refried beans. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned, they definitely don't skimp on the fillings. The margarita flight was also a fun choice and a great way to try different flavors. We noticed they also serve huge shareable cocktails and oversized shots that looked like a blast for groups. The atmosphere is lively, especially later in the evening, with a younger crowd and a fun, energetic vibe that makes it a great spot to hang out with friends. The only thing that rubbed us the wrong way happened right after we were seated. Chips and queso were brought to the table, and we naturally assumed they were complimentary, similar to chips or bread at many other restaurants. After we had already started eating them, our server came back and took them away because they weren't included. Our waitress was otherwise friendly and provided good service, but that initial interaction felt a little awkward. A quick heads-up when placing them on the table would have avoided the confusion entirely. Overall, the food, drinks, portions, and atmosphere were excellent, and that small misunderstanding wasn't enough to take away from an otherwise fantastic experience. We'd definitely come back the next time we're craving tacos and margaritas.

I found this location as I was looking for taco trucks in Houston late Friday night. I'm a pretty…read morebig fan of tacos. I was greeted fairly quickly when I got here and asked what I wanted. I didn't notice chicken (Pollo) as a protein option, but I was able to order 3 Pollo Tacos. One of the Pollo tacos I ordered with queso fresco and avocado to see how it would be. They indicated that their menu was not updated and that chicken was available as a protein option. The tacos were generous with meat. Every bite had a mouthful of meat, and it seemed as if there was an added sauce when they cooked it or some sort of marinade. These were topped with cilantro and onion, and had lime/salsa verde provided. The salsa verde had a good amount of spice to it. It was a good meal on a cold night. The avocado + queso fresco taco was nice, but in terms of price, it was not worth the extra $1. I would still recommend giving it a try if you can! One thing I didn't realize when I was given the takeout bag is that I wasn't provided napkins and that I should have grabbed them from the truck.

For customer service I think they were excellent. I did ask to leave some thing off and they were really attentive at checking to make sure what needed to be left off. The horchata here is some of the best I've had in Houston. Also going back to me making changes to a menu item. I asked to them to hold the sour cream off the corn and I was just expecting regular corn but they gave me some amazing corn. The quesadilla was really good but I was already so blow away by the corn and horchata I don't know if the quesadilla could have live up. Overall this was a great taco truck. Quick turn around and amazing food. I definitely recommend and I am definitely going back.
