On Wednesday afternoon it appeared the manager was running the register. Service was outstanding and he went out of his way to get special things for me. Overall dining experience was superior to most McDonald's. The chicken nuggets were on sale for one dollar, add to that a senior drink and later a dollar menu ice cream, and there really isn't a less expensive place to dine. The dining room was reasonably clean as well and they have two high-speed drive through lanes. This was my first time to try this location. read more

Great service here, let us drive through on bikes, staff was very helpful! Food was great been there quite a few times up until now, and I've never had any problems with the staff and certainly nothing to the like of what's mentioned in some other reviews, the worst thing to happen to me here is that they ran out of baskets of fries and gave me two mediumship. read more

this location is absolutely horrific. the service and food is terrible. every time i go i order curbside and wait at least 30 minutes for my food before having to go inside or call the store and ask about the food. each time i receive the food, it is cold and terrible. the food is drenched in sauce to where it's not even appealing and they always provide the wrong food/mess up the order. do not go to this mcdonald's unless you want to waste your money and time. read more

I will there around 3 pm on the 20th of August. Service was fair until I came to pick up foods. The person did not know what the order was and then the food was cold. The French fries and the Big Mac seems like it was cook before and held until the heat lamp. This restaurant have ready went down in the last year. I almost went in but the last time the inside was not clear too. This one was rebuild the first of last year, but after it was reopened appearance and services took a nose drop. read more

Probably my least favorite McDonald's. At the pay window they asked me my order and then gave me a completely different receipt and charged me a different amount. I got a completely different order and when I said something to the guy at the last window he said he couldn't do anything and got an attitude. I could understand mix ups if it was busy but there was only 2 maybe 3 cars behind me. read more

Worst McDonalds I've been to in a looooong time. Ordered a frappe, got to the pay window, they charged me 15 dollars for someone else's meal after I had already given them my card when they had failed to verify my order first because the cashier was still talking to someone in the back. I told them of the error, they gave me cash back without another option (even though I wanted it back on my card), then they said they were out of ice and that they couldn't provide me with my order. Didn't offer me a refund or a chance to order another item. Just sent me on my way. Extremely rude service as well. I haven't been back since. read more

Dropped in to eat breakfast quickly and head out. I caught an attitude from all three of the employees that I came in contact with. I used to work at chick-fil-A, so I know how to be the perfect customer as well as the perfect employee. After twenty minutes of waiting for my meal, I politely asked an employee if she would check on it for me. She begrudgingly threw the good in the bag and plopped it down in front of me. Saying nothing at all. I noticed a manager who was super polite to the customers he was taking to, and he was carrying his team of rude, lazy employees on his back. I'm not bashing the entire experience. The food was good. It was just a pretty tough and frustrating process to get the food. I rated this particular location a 2star rating, because the manager who was doing his job well gave me hope. Rude, I ordered a happy meal for my daughter and the lady gave me the happy meal and asked me to pull around to spot number three for the drink so I sat in spot number three for 15 minutes I realize they may have forgotten about me so I pulled up to the speaker but I had to wait behind multiple cars and I told them that I still needed my drink And I was waiting in spot number three and the guy told me to pull around to the second window but I asked him if we could stick to the original plan because I was on a time limit and the lady had told me she would bring my drink out to me he repeated himself again. So I started getting somewhat annoyed but not completely rude and I asked him could I please just go back to spot number three as we had already discussed and he could send the lady out with my drink and I could just be on my way as I was in a hurry he repeated himself for me to pull up to the second window once more and then after I said something else he then ignored me. He refused to talk to me any further so the only good thing that came out of this was I was able to back my car in reverse all the way to the second window because it's all one way , he was trying to punish me by making me wait behind a line of cars moving very slowly just to get a happy meal drink and when I pulled up in reverse to that second window before the other car had made it there, I showed his ass. read more

This is the cleanest and brightest McDonald's I've been in in years. Staff is friendly and fast. Management is available in dining room. This place is bright and cheery. All I wanted was a quick, small burger to go, as I was on my way to a meeting. The manager's personal attention, when I complimented this unit, was genuine. This has become my favorite McDonald's in Columbia, and I'll go out of my way to return soon and often. read more

On Wednesday at 15:28 hours 1-8-2014 434 Gervais St Columbia Sc 29201...I ordered 10 hamburgers 2 w/ xx pickles 8 plain. Well the 2 xx pickes had 2 pickles the size of a dime hardley that to me is not heavy pickles hardley any mustard/ketchup on it. I tried to call the store but the mailbox was full...convient I say Fries were cold. I only live 1 block away they should of been a little warner just gojng one block , so they were almost cold when they gave them to me.. Check your order because they've got about a 10% accuracy rate here. I've complained to corporate because I got home with the wrong order so many times. They get two stars for being fast and friendly most of the time. It's McDonalds, so the food is what you expect. Check your order before you leave the drive thru. This is the second day in a row my coffee order is incorrect. Once reason I stopped coming to this business. I went to the Killian Rd drive thru to order something fast and was immediately met with attitude and un professionalism. I ordered a hamburger no pickles, asked for a value nugget (mind there's nothing on the menu) response: "Well what is that? What is a value nugget?" I said what do you have "well we have a 4pc, 6pc, 20pc" ok let me just get the 20pc "Well that's not a value " so I drove off because I refuse to get into it I was trying to quickly get on the road and was not going to ruin mother's day mood arguing with a driver thru worker. Drove another exit and got the best service I've had since I stop going years ago. I know i'm just one un loyal customer but I can see why rebranding is happening so often and the competitors are gaining exponential ground in the fast food industry. Definitely will not recommend this location and would advise to go to Blythewood #11232 location or try the many other restaurants on Killian rd. read more
