We went to the MCDONALD'S right off "77"" on Clemson Road, Columbia, SC. On Sunday March 25,2018: Was in drive Thru line for 15 minutes and. Told the girl we wanted a "Quarter Ponderd meal plain with a diet for our drink. Then said we wanted another "Quarter ponder" with extra pickle and onions. Never said the Word CHEESE (!!!!) Why do ALL The MCDONALD'S in the Midlands think just because you order a "Quarter Ponder" they think you want Cheese on it??? We never said "quarter ponder with cheese" I worked at MCDONALD'S 2 stores in Atlanta and 1 in Tacoma Washington. A total of 7years. When I left do to moving out of state I was a Crew Trainer. I took my job very serious. We made sure that EVERYONE knew that "Quarters" came with out cheese and with cheese. Not just One way. The MCDONALD'S on the Corner of HUGAR ST. Made the exact same Mistake . That time I walked it back in and told the counter person that they made a mistake she wanted to argue about it. Said they ALL come with cheese. I told her NO , I worked at MCDONALD'S and I personally know that they come also Without cheese as she continued to argue their store ( One of) manager told the counter girl that (I) (me) was right. And to remake my order. By then if had been 22 minutes to get my correct order.I went to the nearest garbage can and tossed it. No offense but I Never eat a order that must be remade. Never.....they Never said sorry or anything nice . And the MCDONALD'S on clemson Road did the same thing . Put Cheese on our "Quater Ponders" we were on the freeway ( 77) when I saw. The mistake. I tried. To take the cheese off mine but the top bun ripped . I was so pist off that I put it back in the bag and ate the cold fries. When we got home I put the Quarter ponder with cheese in the dog bowl and shoot even he wouldn't eat It (!!!!) And he's Mikey he eats Everything . But Not this. Made me think Wow (!!!) The. Food Can be good and tasty and hot and correct if the people grilling it , Dressing it. Bagging it, & serving it and taking the order does their job (!!!) More ; more I go to MCDONALD'S and it's very seldom I hear Thank you , come again . Or Welcome to MCDONALD'S may I take your order (?) Or even after I ordered they never say would you like a Apple Pie with that (?) For a " up sake" and so many neglect to give you One napkin. I personally think 1 napkin per sandwich is not enough but I know if a person wants more they must ask. But to not get even One (?) Come on now. And the next thing is no straws . I will now take as long as I like in the drive thru to completely look and check my order over. A paying Coustomer should Never have to look behind the person handing out the order (!!!!!) They should ALL take pride in their jobs , it could be a GREAT place to eat AGAIN...... ALL it takes is Crew members and management to Love what they are doing and Believe in it (!!!!) You know with out the Coustomers MCDONALD'S is NOTHING . Do you even have your new employees watch the Instrumentation movies any more (?????)How many of your employees know how to break down the Shake and ice cream machines and calabrate them (???) Or how many of your employees know how to filter the VATS (???) Or do you know what ( high -low the floors mean? ? ? ) Or what if a customer wanted no salt on their fries , do your employees know what to do (??) Or do they know you give Grape jelly only. Unless the Coustomer ask for Strawberry. And when a customer ask for catsup you are supposed to ask how many (?) For everything cost someone something. I Believe the employees either make you or break you. I think now a days MCDONALD'S should worry about First Opinions of their customers because if it is horrible service or Food Orders are wrong or the building is not clean Believe me when I say You Have Just Lost APAYING Coustomer. Where is the Pride I remember (?) And Burger King and Wendy's & Hardy s & Dairy Queen is just as bad if not Worse.......I always put MCDONALD'S First but they put me a paying customer as LAST. And to think of it , the food handler who dressed my sandwiches cost MCDONALD'S money by wasting cheese. But they don't care , cause they don't buy the invatory . I have visited this location on several occasions and the service is usually mediocre; not good, but not extremely terrible. Today however the customer service was the worst. The drive thru worker was extremely rude. We arrive at 10:56 and attempt to order lunch. She cuts me off and yells rudely that lunch doesn't start until 11:00. Ok I can except that but yelling rudely was not called for. She then totals out the order without asking if that completed our order. When I asked if I could add something she yelled "no you can do it when you get to the window; pull forward". And to top it all off she gave us the wrong order. Avoid this McDonald's if you can to avoid terrible customer service. read more
