Hands down worst McDonalds I've ever been to. Everytime I've ever came to this McDonalds something is either wrong with the food or missing. Children are either running the entire store or someone who's not competent enough to check bags of food to make sure everything is correct. Talked to the manager today and he was extremely rude on the phone and offered nothing for them completely missing an entire meal on my order. Completely ridiculous. I would drive the extra 3 minutes to a different McDonalds any day of the week. read more

First off, it is McDonald's. I go here fully expecting standard Micky D's fare with the average service provided by the underpaid staff. We come here rarely, maybe once a month. Every time it is the exact same experience, regardless of who is actually working. The food is the food. Pretty much the same at any one of the thousands of stores across the planet. It serves it's purpose of basic sustenance if you have limited time or options. The problem here is the service. It is bad. And by that I mean really bad. The person taking your order could clearly care less that you even exist. And they cut you off or mess up the order almost every time. Then you get your order and almost every time they have it wrong. And I am not talking like missing a side or some small part of the order. This last time I went, ordered 2 burritos and a milk, and they forgot the damn burritos!! Then when you call them out on it, the manager gives 'tude like it's your fault they screwed it up. The only saving grace is the shorter somewhat older Spanish gentlemen that regularly works the second window. This guy deserves a medal. Always smiling, always happy, and asks how my day is going every time I pull up. if you go here, check your bag BEFORE driving off or someone in your car will be going hungry. read more

Our family usually goes through the drive thru a few times a week for happy meals for the kids. Over the past month we have noticed an increase in positive customer service. We have noticed the employees saying thank you similar to Chic FIl A. Food is always hot. It's nice for us that they are open late around Holidays (not for the employees) read more

I went to the drive through yesterday morning, started off by telling them about my Mcdonald's points app code, which it indicates via sign on the drive through you should provide Before ordering. The girl interrupts me very rudely and says to tell me the code after ordering. I indicate I was just following directions that she didn't need to be rude. I then place my order and she says to pull around. I ask, Again, if I can give my code now and she answers, "If it is really that important to you." I couldn't believe the rudeness. I went to the window and asked to talk to the manager, who didn't seem to fully understand English and he only said that they could take my code at the window also. When I told him the problem was his employee, and didn't he hear the exchange as he was wearing a headset? I told him my first job was at McDonald's and this was a terrible way to make an impression on a customer. He said times were different now than when I was an employee. They are understaffed, etc. I told him to stop making excuses and to train his employees about customer service. I canceled my order and told him I would be taking this up to corporate and review sites. That is the Last time they will get my business. read more

I ordered food on the app because I have the rewards. I waited in the spot for pick up for about 15 minutes before I went to the drive-through. no one answered for the first five minutes and then they said I'll be right with you. it took at least two more minutes after that and I was not having it because it is about 90° out today. no One voided the order either because I obviously didn't come in to get it. The phone number they have on their website doesn't work either by the way, so I can't even call to get my money back. this is ridiculous every other McDonald's I have been to takes at least 10 minutes or less. hopefully this one gets shut down all the workers are slow. read more

You can be sure that something you ordered will be missing from your "to go" bag. If you ordered a large amount of food it is very inconvenient to dig through the bags to make sure it is all there, but it is totally necessary at this location. I don't remember the last time my order was 100% correct. Today we are missing 2 hashbrowns that were ordered. The only reason I go back is the convenience of the location. read more

Worst fast food establishment I have been to, they wouldn't take our punch card for coffee or take our coupons. I ordered a mcgriddle and said no meat (meaning no bacon or sausage). They only gave me the mcgriddle pancakes (no egg or cheese) I told them the error they went back and just put egg in it no cheese. The servers were not friendly and rude. When I initially mentioned the error they looked at me annoyed, when they came back with the "fix" they didn't even say sorry just shoved it back in my face. Any McDonald's location I go to is head over heals better then this location. Most of time 20 min wait, wrong orders, over cooking burnt food, missing dipping sauce, wrong items, they are very rude and never offer coupon or free item for all the mistakes they make. Today the lady taking orders rang up for item and then would not let me finish giving my order and kept telling me to drive forward and I was not even delaying between items I was ordering as was reading what my family wanted off list. When I was done ordering I said that's it then long silence and she barks out are you finally done or what. I said said yes I'm done and asked her to update screen to make sure order is correct and she refused to update screen saying something about me keep changing my order which I never changed anything I was just reading off all the items I wanted and she refused to repeat it back just kept saying drive forward. I went to first window and she rudely yells out price. I again ask to repeat my order at window but she wouldn't, just said price again so I repeated my order and she said yes, yes, yes that's all entered. She then slammed the window shut after I paid. Note this location never gives receipts they quickly close window after you pay and ignore you as you sit there at window so eventually I leave without it as don't want to delay others behind me, so you can never give negative feedback so management not at this site will not know of issues. I got my drinks and was asked to pull forward. A person came out and gave me food and I looked in bag and said I was missing food they looked at me, did not say anything and went inside. After sitting there for a while I realized they were not coming back. So order was incorrect as she did not enter everything I asked for even though she confirmed/lied that yes she entered what I repeated. So had to go back inside and ask for my missing item. They then provided receipt and show me it's not on there even though the lady I ordered from confirmed my list was all included. He then rings it up and gives me price. I stated after all that happen and explained issues he was still going to charge me. Any other places wants you happy so they give coupon after charging you or just give it to you free to cover there mistake but all 4 people I dealt with at this location today wanted nothing to do with making a customer happy, just working for that paycheck with no concern at all for quality of food or pleasing customers. Oh and don't assume this is related to getting good help due to pandemic as this place has had issues long before Covid and management that's on site is only about sales not making customers happy. This place is only half mile from my house and I work from home so not a lot of eating options for lunch so I keep making the mistake coming back to this place thinking it will improve but after several years of problems you would thing I would stop giving them my buisness. read more

The store manager at this McDonald's is absolutely the rudest, slowest, and most incompetent that I have ever run across. My last few visits have taken close to 25 to 35 minutes from the time I order the drive through until the time I received my food. Today I sat in the Drive-Thru for over 10 minutes, being told three different times to please wait before they could even take my order. The third time, at the 10-minute Mark, I asked if this was going to be a while and they said yes it's going to be a while. I said forget it then. I then parked came into the store and asked for the store manager. There were employees simply standing around. I noticed at least two others, in addition to the store manager. I asked him for the name and number of the owner. He said he did not have time to give it to me. I asked again for the name and number of the owner. He said look it up on the internet under DP and k. I ask him to write it down, and he hastily scribble 3 letters, I asked for his name and he said he was a store manager and his name was Max. Something needs to be done about this particular man. He rudely said that me asking him to do this was not making him move any faster. No more business from me, McDonald's Cottage Grove. And if you are taking suggestions, hire a new store manager who understands what customer service in the fast food industry means! read more

I agree with the last reviewer, they have fly problem. We were annoyed with this issue the last time we decided to go inside.

It's fine if they get your order right, which is seldom. You have to make sure they give you what you asked for. They rarely pay attention when you order. I've had to repeat large portions of orders back because the person on the other side of the speaker had stopped listening. read more

Don't ask any questions about anything because no one knows #$% They refuse to park cars with big orders so the whole damn drive up backs up around the building. Here's a case of total incompetence. I drove from home to the drive-thru for Breakfast. I ordered three (3) items and only received two (2). Food is so bad they can't even get a milkshake right..The fries are either old and soggy or brown and over cooked the oil taste is so bad on them and there sandwiches are always cold like what the heck they keep them in the fridge or something and then there shakes are always milky never got a good thick shake from them....my kids love McDonald's and even they can't stand there food that's crazy if a 4yr old can't stand McDonald's read more
