Then you pay for that order, cause it doesn't show up unless it's paid for. The cold case is huge, and the Tea/Lemonade Half & Half comes in half gallons for a reason. There's also a smoothie/coffee/shake bar to tempt you. Oh, and this hoagie stand has gas and diesel. The restroom was clean, the friendly staff had a sense of humor even though we happened to have a Buc-ee's tee, and we had an excellent, affordable breakfast to start our day.

The inside is brightly colored and has definitely improved since our last visit. It's brightly colored and the furniture looks new. I'm often the kind of person that finds what he likes at a restaurant and sticks with. For Subway, it's always been the B.M.T. In this case "always" equal literally over 30 years. I'd stray once in a while, but if I were to do the math, it'd be around 98% that my Subway order will be a B.M.T. On this particular visit, however, I spotted something on the menu called the "Spicy Nacho" sub. Well, you just hit me with a One- Two- punch because "spicy" and "nacho" are my middle names. (not really). The nice lady described it to me and she barely put a period at the end of her sentence when I committed to it and ordered it. And, since Jim is stepping outside of his comfort zone, I ordered 2 cookies instead of a bag of chips that I'd probably save for later anyway. It's almost as if this visit was Jim going out on a limb. (For those that may be wondering, that rhyme was not intentional but it worked, so I'm leaving it in.) Ok, it's not often that I'm WOW'd by something in fast food, but the Spicy Nacho sub did just that. Could it be because the only thing I have to compare it to, really, is the B.M.T.? Or could it be because it was just REALLY good? Either way, I loved it. I didn't expect the jalapeño and the sriracha sauce to work so well together, but they did. Will the Spicy Nacho sub replaced the B.M.T.? I'd have to try it a few times before I make that decision. Then again, as fast food is, it'll probably go away in a month or two. Fast food LOVES to take away things that Jim really likes. The store was VERY clean when we walked in. Table and trash were clean, the drink station was clean and fully stocked. The staff (both of the young ladies working) were fun and helpful. There's a nice patio out front for warm weather enjoyment.

They are famous for their onion burgers. The "single" comes with two patties, but they are very, very thin patties cooked over onions. This gives them distinct taste. Honestly its everything I want in an environment like this! Ordered onion rings (really heavy on the onions on this meal!) and they were good, very hot. The milk shake was a good, very basic milk shake. It is not very thick so I ended up using the straw for my water for this. I ended up getting a hot ham and cheese on toast as well, and it tastes as it should. Service is prompt. All in for my burger, onion rings, shake, coffee, and ham/cheese it came about $25. There is no credit card fee for this restaurant, and the prices on the menu were accurate to what I was charged. This is an Anderson institution and I'm glad I was finally able to dine in. Will come back next time I'm in town.
