The service is consistently sub par, slow wait times if you mobile order, incorrect orders if you hit the drive thru or via delivery. Regularly missing or wrong items, rarely gets special orders right. Sent multiple complaints via website and never get a response. Trust me, I'd love to choose any other location and usually suggest another fast food establishment when we have to stay in town, but when my child uses his dinner pick for McDonald's, I'm not going to drive 20 mins to get it somewhere else. If I could give no stars. I would do not do delivery. I repeat, do not do delivery. Had a special order supposed to be made fresh. What's completely wrong? The meats were all dry. We tried calling over 15 times with no success. Ended up having to call another location to get the straightened out. The manager of the other store replace tart order and yet again. I just wanted to take a minute to let you know and others know how much we appreciate the care you have been taking during the pandemic. Our household consist of three people: ages 61, 62 and my mother, age 94. We don't go into stores or restaurants anymore. But we do your drive up using the app on our phone. It is the safest way to purchase fast food. We sit in our car and you bring it to us wearing gloves and a mask. You are the only fast food restaurant I would recommend during the pandemic. (I will admit that we still microwave everything when we get it home and we wipe done with wipes items that cannot be microwaved.) My husband had to enter the restaurant one time when there was a problem with our credit card not being accepted; a problem that was rectified quickly. I only mention this because it was the one opportunity to notice the activity inside the restaurant. My husband observed that all the employees were wearing masks and gloves with gloves being changed frequently between the various tasks. We are among the most careful people I know during this pandemic and we want to thank the Delavan McDonalds for following guidelines and doing such a great job! read more

So we all totally understand how Covid has affected the restaurant business as far as adequate staffing. Waiting is no longer an oddity, and we all have to get used to it. This restaurant however needs a little lesson in "first come first served". We ordered inside using the Kiosk so not to bother the overworked staff. You then see your number overhead and assume you will be served in the order of incoming order time. Not so, after 25 minutes of waiting I see our number is going no where up the line, but the drive thru orders are going through. This is total bulls$&t!! We asked for our money back and left. I know for a fact McDonalds has a huge IT dept and surely the capability to queue orders in chronological sequence. The Delavan manager needs to use this technology to keep people coming back. What can I say? You have two drive-through ordering lines and this McDonald's is one of the slowest McDonald's around! It should never take 15 minutes to order food and receive it! That is my main complaint. Most of the employees are cordial and somewhat professional. The restaurant is fairly clean as you would expect with most McDonald's. Food prices are expensive for fast food. For a couple dollars more you could go to a sit down café and eat better food. What is really pathetic is that I go in and order two hamburgers and they are $1.68 apiece when I could've ordered two cheeseburgers for three dollars without the cheese. Does not make any sense! I usually order my hamburgers with extra pickles and sometimes they actually do have extra pickles on them however most of the time they have two pickles on them. French fries are often warm at best instead of fresh and hot. The only good thing about this place is that the sodas are still a dollar. read more

My friend and I had used the kiosk to place our orders. The kiosk did not print out a receipt, but we didn't think anything of it since we ordered in anyway. We waited 30 minutes for our food before going up and asking where our food was at. We go up to the counter and it took 4 people (two of which seemed to be managers) to walk passed us before we asked where our food was. Once we were able to get someone's attention, we told them we have been waiting for 30 minutes to get our food and they asked for our receipt but we explained the kiosk did not print one. One of the cashiers then said "it probably didn't go through if you didn't get a receipt" and my friend and I both explained it must have since both of our cards were charged. After my sister accidentally left her phone in the building right before they closed we came back to ask if we could look for it, he said no because there was no phone here (after we used the location to find that the phone was still in the building). We asked politely to check the bathroom where he agreed to in the most negative manner possible. He said it wasn't there and for the fear of having to buy another phone we asked him if he could bring the trash can (where she might have dropped it in) to the parking lot where we could search for it, he threatened to call the cops and swore at me. Worst service I have ever gotten. Took literally an hour from ordering to getting my food. They gave me my drinks and the Happy Meal I ordered then I proceeded to wait for the other food. After a while I was asked to pull forward. I watched a few cars immediately get their food and leave. Went inside to get my food waited more with another couple that had been waiting for half an hour. Was finally able to catch someone taking a mobile app order out and complained to them. They personally came back in and made the rest of my order. When I got home with everything I learned they not only messed up the order they specifically asked me for to make sure it was done right but the fries were super old. I felt super bad for the couple I talked to inside because while I was waiting inside I noticed a sundae on the counter melting away into soup. Turned out to have been theirs.
