I have noticed that the app is no longer working here just on data, the only way it will load is if you connect to their WiFi. The fries at this McDonald's are often either old or undercooked. Arrived at 10pm on a Wednesday, when their hours show they do not close until midnight. I asked for two decaf large coffees And they told me the pot is washing. I asked if the pot will still be "washing" in an hour. If you have read my other reviews - thanks :) - if so, you may have seen my review for the McDonald's in Crown Point. What I didn't divulge in that review was the name of a super wonderful employee who had been there for years. I go to the McDonald's in Crown Point as it is basically next door to my office building so I see the same smiling faces a lot. I was in DeMotte which is about 45 minutes south of Crown Point. At the drive thru, I heard that same familiar voice and there was my pal from the CP location. She had transferred there - what a great staff addition for DeMotte's McDonald's. I've gone to this McDonald's numerous times including today which motivated me to add my review this evening. I have been there usually mornings, some afternoons and at least one evening - never ever a challenge. VERY friendly and kind employees. Sometimes, like this morning, I have a larger order. Each time, the bag is packed meticulously - Not sure if I happen have the same employee packing the bag or if they are trained by someone - but it is really nicely done - you can quickly see and count x sandwiches xx amount hash browns etc. All in all, a solid 5 star experience consistently - thank you! read more

Visited on a Friday night after a basketball game. Went through the driveup lane. I was behind one car. Before I got my order taken, 8 cars had gone through the other lane, gotten food and left. Their sweet tea is never sweet. I've gotten it multiple times and it's been no where near sweet. Don't forget the fries, they're either too stale or way too mushy. They never salt the fries good enough either. I feel like they don't even care enough to give us costumers good fresh food, I understand needing to finish what food you guys have left but you shouldn't let it get so gross and stale. They need to put more effort in. The workers are kind of always cranky towards costumers for no reason. Your quality and experience truly depends what time of day you visit and who is working. The earlier morning shift seems to be the best, most proficient at completing orders quickly and accurately while having a pleasant attitude. The afternoons are hit or miss. While the evening can be a bit risky and you'll need to check and double check your bag before leaving. Food preparation and taste seems consistent with other McDonalds overall. The tea and soda sometimes has problems with syrup/product ratio. And he ice cream machine is frequently down. Otherwise it's a normal Mcd restaurant. read more

This place has messed up my order 6 out of the last 10 times. I was curious so kept count. I actually have just gotten used to double checking my bag before I drive off because I expect.it. And to top it off, when they mess up and you bother to go inside to get them to fix it, the manager acts like your at fault or like she just doesn't care. If what you ordered was more expensive than what they messed up and gave you, they make sure to charge you for it and then make you wait again. I went to Mcdonalds in Demotte tonight. After messing up the order of every person there including mine. The second time The manager was rude asked me to leave. She gave me my order but it was not even close to being right the third time and Crystal the MGR refused to give me my receipt back or a refund. I asked again trying to be nice and she called the cops. This as almost funny. The cop came and Got my money back and we joked about it. I avoid jail and went to KFC an hour later. we went through three times and still didn't get the right order. All we orders was a #9 which is two cheeseburgers with a medium fry and a sweet tea, and ten nuggets with sweet and sour sauce and another sweet tea. the first time through we got the complete wrong order and the second time through we didn't get fries or sauce so we went through again and still had to tell her we needed the sauce and when we looked in the bag it was a small fry when that is not what we paid for. so i called to complain and the manager got snippy with me for calling out poor service because two people working said they gave us a large fry when in fact it was not. i am not pleased with any of the service we got today. read more

To start, we were trying to order and this woman was extremely short not being attentive to the orders being given through the loudspeaker. Next, said woman was very rude over the loud speaker, and never answered so we had no choice but to pull up to the window. The man taking our cash was extremely friendly and took the rest of our order. When we arrived at the food pick up window the "woman" who is believed to be the one taking our order let our two ice cream sundays melt right in front of our eyes as we waited another 15-20 minutes for our very simple order to arrive, to be exact - 3 McChickens with everything and an order of fries. I understand food takes a while to cook, however our sundays were practically liquid when they were handed to us. When our order was finally ready, the "woman" dropped the now liquid ice cream Sundaes and proceeded to hand them to us like nothing was wrong. I remember my Aunt being ecstatic when they opened this place up. They built it around the same time as KFC, and it was like a huge shock to the town. I was pretty excited myself. Just your average McDonald's I guess. Food for the kids is ok. It is a pickup location for the kids not too far away from my house. I got the chicken nuggets 10 pice a bunch of times. They are pretty consistent. Fries are too salty, but I think I always think that because I don't like salt on them. So yeah, I probably can't really say much to that. Absolutely horrible place these days. Every time we go there, they either get the order wrong, or don't even give us what we paid for. Finally my husband called because there was a burger missing from our bag and they said they would write our name down to get a credit for the next time we come in. Well, a week or two later, my husband went back and guess what! They had no record of them owing us. There way of keeping records was from the prehistoric era: a box filled with napkins and scraps of paper that have been written on. ??? I could go on. They don't participate in the national McDonald's promotions, such as $2.29 fish sandwich during Lent. They continued to charge $3.29. And everytime I have ordered it the bun is not even centered on the sandwich. It is half off, tartar sauce is all over the box, cheese is all over the box.
