According to a study done by SeeLevel HX(Atlanta-based business intelligence firm), in 2016 the average service time at a McDonald's drive-through last year was 208.2 seconds. While I understand that the study was done over the drive through experience, I arguably have higher expectations for a busy international airport location. I suspect that most people get fast food at the airport because they are in a rush to get something quick before they board their plane. My experience from the time I ordered to when I got my food was well over 10 minutes. I also did not count the extra 5 minutes while I waited in line prior to ordering. There was one person on the register taking orders, 2 people in the back making the orders, while 3 people just stood around having a conversation with each other. I had thought that if I gave enough time from my experience at this location and writing this review, I would feel different. But I have since visited many other McDonald's and the level of service and speed has been far superior. read more

Imagine the worst McDonald's you've ever been to and make it about 3x worse. Yeah, it's busy as hell here but they should be used to that. They have no sense of urgency and literally ignore requests to fix incorrect orders. I said to the girl passing out orders, 3 times, that I was missing drinks. It was as if I didn't exist. She didn't so much as acknowledge my requests. It was like I wasn't even standing there. She just kept calling out the next number. I wasn't 18 inches from her but I didn't exist I should have known better, I did know better, but this is where the kids wanted to go. Ordered a large Regular Coke, no ice with my burger. Got my food, found a table to sit down at and out the straw in my drink. I noted the ice at this point, and thought oh well, I can deal with this rather than go back. Taste test- Diet Coke. Went back to the counter and asked if I could get Regular Coke, sans ice that I ordered and was treated VERY rudely by the expediter at the counter. She was incredulous that they could possibly make a mistake, very poor attitude. The Manager stepped over and I informed her what happened, and that I got more attitude than what was due in return. The manager came back and handed me a replacement without ice, thanked her nicely and moved on. Zone A July 2nd - 10:37pm If I owned a McDonald's I would check in on my employees to make sure my investment is doing well. I've never seen customer service this bad! When it was my turn to order food the employee was texting...as if I needed to wait until he was done. After I ordered the employee handing out food was very rude and was giving me dirty looks. This McDonald's is fine. They have a lot of registers so presumably when times are busy they can handle a good number of customers. The lady taking my order was prompt and nice. Some employee from another shift, on my side of the counter, who was not ordering anything, was talking with her and taking up her time, but she did her best to extract herself from that conversation to take my order, which I appreciated. Of course the chatty employee had no clue that what she was doing was inappropriate, but we'll leave that to the side. Anyway, overall I had a positive experience here. McDonalds by far has the BEST fries of all fast food restaurants. This is the only reason I ever go. This Mickey D's has the longest lines and the most unorganized ordering and delivering service I have experienced. The quality of the food is standard to any McDonalds. Yes, I realize my expectations can't be too high for McDonald's. However when it comes to cheating their customers, I think travelers deserve to be warned. My family and I recently had connecting flights at Denver Airport. My son loves the special treat of going to McDonald's. We stopped there on our Eastbound trip, and again on our Westbound trip. Both times, we ordered a 6 piece Nugget Happy Meal, and BOTH TIMES we got FOUR pieces!! I think they figure travelers are in a hurry and won't notice 'til it's too late to go back and complain. I did go back to complain to the manager & he corrected the problem, but how many travelers don't go back? If it happened to us twice in 5 days, I wonder how many thousands of customers they cheat in a week! I'm here because I'm not spending $12.99 for a Cobb salad! Airports are hell for appetites. We are captured audience asked to pay premium prices for food that originate from the same, large freezer no matter the lighted facade. Walking past few choices, I walked away from an offer of lettuce and dressing the price of a small steak and took advantage of McDonald's Ribwich meal. While standing in line, a gentleman couldn't keep his eyes of off me. I looked at him a couple times trying to coax him away. But his eyes kept fondling me from my hat to my toes. I had to say something to him to break his concentration. He stepped back and I stepped into line. Every register was staffed. Prices were only about 10% above street. So I decided to go cheap and eat here. The cashier was competent, meaning he didn't mess up my order and remembered everything correctly. He was also very special as he said "Hello" to me telepathically. Telepaths are wonderful people who need not move their lips or voice a sound when communicating with you. My Ribwich was fatty and came with heavy sauce, onions, and pickles. Though I washed the sauce from my hands at the restroom, the smell remained. The cheeseburger was ok. The fries were McD perfect. That was my only meal that day. 24 hours later I would come down with a acute bout of food poisoning that challenged my bowels. My body said "screw you and sit down!" making me ponder about my choice of diet. That is why it gets one star. read more

I fly out of Concourse A (and other concourses at DIA) regularly, and have often stopped at McDonalds for breakfast. I like the Sausage McMuffin with Egg, and treat myself to a CinaMelt cinnamon roll. On a recent visit to the Unit in Concourse A I ordered those very same items. After finding a table, I discovered the order was wrong, but not wanting to fight my way back through the line, ate it anyway. I called the phone number on the receipt to report the error, and subsequently received a Gift Card in the mail to compensate me for the mistake with my order. On my next visit, I ordered the usual and presented the Gift Card as payment. Apparently they had forgotten to "load it" as the card had no value. When I explained to the manager that the reason I had the Gift Card was because of an unacceptable experience on my last visit, I was met with only a blank stare. She offered nothing more. Hmmm I don't quite understand the horrible reviews for this location. Quite confused, indeed, simply because I live by the Denver International Airport and I strictly remember visiting this McDonald's as a last minute sanctuary for having the best snacks before catching our very next flight. Furthermore the only negative thing about this McDonald's is the fact that it's probably the more slower one in the airport I should say. They simply don't convince me that they are the worst McDonald's provided by the government, however they do lack time management skills within their set of time. They need to address the issues of serving their customers in an more utterly faster way! Otherwise the bad reviews shall keep coming. They're clearly working like mad here, but it's a poorly run operation. The employees seem very exhausted and unhappy. When my order number was called, I checked the bag and there were two items missing. I'm glad I checked! I politely notified them, and the employee had an attitude and said wait two minutes. Then after almost 10 minutes, I went to someone else to ask about it and the original employee shoves the two items to me without saying a word. Just rude. Again, they're clearly working like mad, but somehow still screwing up wholesale. I will not visit again. I think franchises like this get away with it because it's the McDonalds brand that people trust and they make a killing on high throughput/revenue while dragging down the brand's image. I had the worst service this morning. I ordered a sausage mcmuffin and medium coffee. I was charged 6.99 and a $.054 upcharge for what? I ordered my coffee with cream and equal which was not added. The menu board shows $3 for a sausage mcmuffin and not sure of the coffee price. I had a $1 deal on the McDonald's app for coffee which they don't accept. While I was waiting for my order I noticed I was charged for a breakfast meal and upcharge, I asked the young lady why? She said because it was cheaper to go this route. I walked to my gate and was very upset about this transaction. I didn't receive a meal although I was charged for one. I tried calling customer service but it was closed 515am. I sent an email before I ate my mcmuffin, that's how upset I was and I'm still upset. This isn't the way you treat your customers. read more
