    Cuban Sandwich

I really enjoyed the Cuban sandwich. Pretty quick service and decent prices for airport food.

Best darn Chili in all of Denver... Denver's airport that is! While zooming through the busy Denver International Airport to find my gate, my nostrils were focused on sniffing out the best aromas from the restaurants and cafes I passed by. Woody Creek was the winner of aromas. I purchased a hearty cup of chili which was much bigger than I expected and some sourdough bread for soaking up the chili broth. All I have to say is that I will be making a pitstop at Woody Creek if I am ever passing through Denver International, again.

Had about a 30 minute layover in DEN airport so I went to the restaurant with one of the shorter lines - usually a risky proposition in most food courts. Got the Boulder Club for $15 which was a turkey club sandwich on white bread. Pleasantly surprised by the ingredient quality and freshness, especially the veggies. Bread could have been more interesting and the bacon was cooked so crisp it was borderline tough. All in all, a pretty darn good sandwich for eating in the airport.

We flew Southwest and had a layover in Denver airport. Not many options near our gate (C concourse) and this was a fine spot when you don't have much time. The other closest choices were a convenience store and a burger restaurant. Woody Creek had a short line but it went fast, there's a pastry display and coffee, and the sandwiches were prepared fast. It was too late for breakfast sandwiches (ends at 10am), so I got the BLT and the cranberry walnut chicken salad sandwich. Both were good, I preferred the BLT, and I wish the bread had been toasted. Perhaps that's something you can ask for.

Bacon breakfast sandwich with a hole burned through the foil

Absolutely zero care for the food that they are serving. I had not been there in about a decade since my last experience was so bad. But they remodeled and updated the menu, so I figured it was worth a second try. My breakfast sandwich had been sitting so long a hole was burned through the foil. Do you have any idea how long something like that would take to occur? Me neither, but I'm sure it's more than the 30 or fewer minutes it should have been sitting there.

    Not impressed.... Soggy burrito

This place will do in a pinch laying over at Denver airport. I ordered the breakfast burrito and when i opened it, it was pretty soggy. Wasn't hot, eggs and potatoes were Luke warm at best, But, like I said, it will do in a pinch between layovers... airport food and service.

Service was fairly quick but with the long line and with extra staff, one would think they would operate more than one of (at least) 3 registers. I ordered a breakfast sandwich with eggs, white cheese, and bacon on a brioche bun (if you don't like bacon, you can also choose ham). The sandwich was in a bowl of pre-made, foil wrapped sandwiches - so it was no surprise that the bun was soggy when I opened it up. It's strange though, because I'm amazed at how this sandwich could both be soggy and dry at the same time. Eggs in this sandwich were scrambled and had little flavor. Overall, for airport food it barely passes, and i would only eat here again if my gate was situated right next to it and I was short on time. Also, I think they should have prices for all other food (bagels, pastries) easily viewable.

Very sad looking sammiches. My sammich had turkey, lettuce, cucumber and bacon. The bacon wasn't crunchy, but the cucumbers were. I'm happy to say all the veggies were fresh, but it didn't make the sammich any more enjoyable. The turkey was slimey and they use the most bland and basic white bread in the history of white bread. It did the job by me not being hungry for a decent price and quick service.

I was not expecting much from an airport sandwich but I was pleasantly surprised! The cranberry walnut chicken salad sandwich was really good! The lettuce was fresh, the chicken was white meat and there was a good amount of it! The bread (yes it was regular sliced bread) was fresh and not stale. They had about 5 employees working and were able to keep up with the orders really well, almost no wait after paying!

I have had breakfast between flights here multiple times, but today I had a late lunch. I had their Boulder club! Delicious! It's not everyday what you order looks like the picture! Woody Creek is consistent with their service. Fast and professional. Not much on the on the outside because it's in a concourse, but they make up for it in their food.

    Caesar salad
    Cynthia M.

Quick service, pricey, but hit the spot! This Caesar salad came with iceberg lettuce, chicken that was cut about double bite size, and nice shavings of Parmesan cheese. The Caesar dressing was delicious! I forgot to ask for no croutons, but they were plentiful and someone who loves croutons would be very happy with them

I picked up a cupcake and a few croissants to enjoy with my morning coffee the next day. Well...that was the plan. My husband couldn't resist and ate one of my pastries before I had the chance! Of course, I had to replace it. The cupcake was absolutely delicious; moist, flavorful, and not overly sweet. The croissants, chocolate and almond; were equally impressive and paired perfectly with my morning coffee. They were buttery, flaky, and exactly what you hope for from a good bakery. Whether you're stopping in for breakfast, lunch, or just something sweet, Izzio Bakery is definitely worth a visit. I had it saved but couldn't quite remember why...until we turned the corner and saw a line out the door around noon on a Sunday. Normally that might be a dealbreaker, but once we saw the food coming out, we were all in, it looked way too good to pass up. The menu is stacked: everything from sweet pastries to savory sandwiches and even pizzas on what looked like fresh, fluffy focaccia. I went with the prosciutto sandwich (prosciutto, cheese, pesto on focaccia), and it was incredible--simple, fresh, and packed with flavor. My girlfriend had the ham sandwich on a baguette, which was just as good. We were also tempted by the turkey and some seasonal options, so we'll definitely be back to try more. We couldn't leave without grabbing a couple pastries. The almond croissant was a hit (my girlfriend saved it for the next morning and loved it), and the standout for me was the cinnamon white chocolate cookie--kind of like a snickerdoodle but with white chocolate chips. Easily a top tier cookie. Between the quality, variety, and how clearly everything is made with care, this place jumped straight to the top of my list. Worth the wait, worth the hype, and absolutely worth a return trip.

We've dined inside before, but yesterday we stopped in to pick up pastries and were reminded why this is one of our favorite bakeries in Denver. The croissants are incredibly flaky and buttery with the perfect ratio of ham and Swiss, the blueberry muffin was moist without being overly sweet, and the éclair disappeared embarrassingly fast. We always have every intention of taking pictures... and then we take one bite and completely forget. That's probably the best compliment we can give.
