But something that is sort of maddening - the menu super hard to read.. poor design and color choices will have you squinting to try to figure out what your choices are. Airport food is always expensive but I thought $22 (before tip) for a sandwich, chips and water was a bit much. The chicken salad is made of diced pieces of white meat chicken, which is tasty but it's not really bound with anything so eating it will result in a mess of diced chicken pouring out of the bread. While zooming through the busy Denver International Airport to find my gate, my nostrils were focused on sniffing out the best aromas from the restaurants and cafes I passed by. I went to Woody Creek inside Denver airport because it was the only place close to my gate that was open before 5:00am serving coffee and other breakfast items (why can't Coffee Bean and Caribou Coffee nearby open before 5:00am?). I got to the airport at around 3:50am for my 5:25am flight to Minneapolis after only two hours of sleep due to a thunderstorm overnight. They only had hot coffee available, but I didn't care, I desperately needed a coffee fix. I went to go get sugar and realized that there was no creamer anywhere for my coffee. They only had creamer in those little plastic packets instead of a thermos. One of the cashiers had to get some more from a box that was underneath the table with all the serving stuff. My plane was getting ready to board as soon as I placed my order. I was in such a hurry to get back to the gate, I forgot to order a quick breakfast bite.
