I went to this McDonald's branch and ordered a Happy Meal. Along with the Happy Meal, we asked if we could purchase a Hello Kitty toy separately for $1.99. However, the manager refused and told us that they do not sell the toys separately. What was more disappointing was the way we were treated. The gentleman was very rude and did not even look at us or allow us to finish explaining our question before immediately saying no. The lady also did not seem to know what toys were included in the Happy Meals. We were not asking for a free toy. We were willing to pay for it. We are collecting the Hello Kitty toys for my niece, and at another McDonald's location, they allowed us to purchase the toy separately without any issue. I understand that different locations may have different policies, but the way the staff handled our request was very disappointing. This experience was terrible. First of all the person who was taking my order couldn't understand me. I don't know if it was because of the speaker and it was distorted or if it was because of all the people in the background that I could hear talking at loud volumes that all sounded like they were goofing around. That didn't work either. Once I got to the 2nd window to retrieve my order, my food was cold. The fries were popsicles covered in salt. The box wasn't even warm. I couldn't turn around the complain or ask for a refund. The line was too long. The store itself wasn't open. There wouldn't be anyone that I could talk to. This was really terrible. I had to shamefully give my lil one cold fries. She handed them back to me and asked if we could get warm ones. Saturday night and drive-thru line was long. To be expected. Moved very slowly. Were you shorthanded? At least apologize to guests for the wait. We placed our order at the microphone. When we finally got to the payment window, employee advised us she'd "lost" our order and we had to redo the whole order. (One item was a special order which she recalled.) We didn't notice on the receipt that she'd omitted an item. We paid, and pulled forward to the pickup window. Checking our order, we found only one Double Quarter Pounder, not two. We explained it to the employee working the window. We'd have gladly paid for an item we weren't charged for. Employee told us that her manager said we'd have to go through the line again. That would have probably resulted in all our food being cold after a 20-30 minute wait. Employee rudely shut the window on us. We were not yelling or using profanity, but we were obviously disgruntled. As someone who has managed numerous businesses, I would have at least made a way for us to get our order filled. Given multiple inconveniences, I probably would have simply comped the sandwich to keep a customer satisfied. As such, my wife said next time we'll just go to Burger King less than two blocks away. This place. The drive through speaker volume was so low, all I could do was just agree and hope for the best at the first window. The food was almost right... we were shorted one McNugget (out of six.) I asked for Dr Pepper.... Got ice water. While this may work in the engineering field, it doesn't work well in food service. The sauces we requested (BBQ and honey) were not given. Been over 2 years since my last review and sadly it has not gotten better. Everytime we come through the drive through we have to drive around atleast 2 times to get our order right. I learned somewhat of a hack, if you ask for your nuggets well done 75%of the time they will give you fresh nuggets. The other 25% of the time they just reheat old nuggets. Its like Russian roulette. The fries are also hit or miss. I would recommend going in the morning or daytime bc if a manager is there, they will make sure to get it done right but as soon as it hits 4:00pm you're better off cooking frozen food at home cause it's basically what you're gonna get from here. I work in the food industry and i know sometimes people make mistakes but by the looks of it, this places has ALOT of mistakes.
