First time eating Jimmy John's. Asked what was popular. Jexa suggested the Italian, so I got it. It was pretty good! The bread was great. I just did the drive through so I can't say anything about the interior, but it was pretty quick. I hate that as a society we are at the $18 for a sub sandwich meal price point, but it is what it is I guess. The employee was nice. Unfortunately. I bought this sandwich on February 17th for dinner and didn't finish it. Next day I tried finishing it and ended up having a hair in my mouth with food. I spit it out and come to find a hair baked into the sandwich bread. I looked through the rest of the sandwich and found yet another hair on the top baked inside of the bread. I love their sandwiches but my order is constantly being messed up. Today it was missing the bacon that I paid extra for and did not receive. Other times, the sandwiches have been labeled wrong and so people received the wrong sandwiches. I've emailed customer service with no reply. They need to learn how to make things right with customers when they mess up an order. read more

TLDR: False Advertising I was happy to see there is a Jimmy John's that's a walkable distance from my work. At my first order, the worker told me about the rewards system. So the next day, I signed up and placed an order through their app. However, the rewards system is deceptive. On the app, it says you get one step closer to your next reward every time you place an order with the app. It turns out these orders must be "qualifying orders." Buried under multiple pages of text, your order must cost $3 in order to qualify. The side I ordered was the most advertised, yet below that dollar threshold, so my order wasn't counted. What's worse is that the app encourages you to order that side like that because another goal in the app is to do exactly that! Yet these orders do not count as "qualifying." I attached to this review the first three things you will see when you download the up. It's just plainly deceptive. I will not be returning again. Johnathan at the Renton location (near Fred Meyer) made THE best sandwich I've ever had at JJ's!! I ordered my favorite, #9 + turkey, no tomato, extra mayo, and he made it PERFECTLY - not soggy, not too much lettuce ... perfect. So perfect, I gave him a $5 tip! Poor customer service.messed up sandwich twice and spoke with the manager she was very rude on the phone said it was my fault that I ordered through the drive-through. I should've ordered inside instead so they would get the sandwiches correct then she was Hella rude on the phone. I did an online order, which I usually do 2-3 times a week, that is how much we at my office loves Jimmy Johns. When I get to the screen, I realized I did not hit the "order" button. So I immediately ordered and was told that I need to get out of line, go around, and come back through the drive thru. I asked why, and was told it takes some time to make the sandwiches. We'll, any order does, so why do I need to drive around. Honestly not a big deal, but for me it's PRINCIPAL. I spend ALOT of $ here, and expect human decency at least. They need to train their "kids" there on customer service, especially repeat customers. Sad part is I make sure to tip every time, for what? Always a fan of Jimmy Johns! Love their Beach Club sandwich (Turkey) and also their Veggie sandwich. Both these sandwiches have the right blend of avocado, mayo, provolone, lettuce and I always add banana peppers for the added tang/spice. The service at this Jimmy Johns is always good. Love their triple chocolate cookie and their sea salt or jalapeno chips. Their choices of bread are great and I always find their bread fresh. Truly freaky fast sandwiches that are ready in barely a few minutes. I personally like Jimmy Johns better than Subway. read more

This Jimmy John's is staffed with an amazing crew. I have been a regular customer for awhile now and every person has been a pleasure to interact with. They're great at consistantly well built sandwiches. I often order ahead with their online system. It's easy and let's you know when you've earned a reward. Easy to customize your order and the tracker lets you know when it's done. Sometimes you'll have a bit of a wait when they're slammed but even with a lineup of a half dozen cars, you're taken care of in their "freaky fast" tradition. 5 Star Flavor, 1 Star Sandwich building. REALLY tired of soggy sandwiches. The sandwiches are tasty...if you like soggy bread. I have requested tomatoes not be put directly on the bread, because it juice of the tomatoes make the bread VERY soggy if you don't eat the sandwich right away. Apparently it's a corporate demand/rule that the sandwiches HAVE to be made EXACTLY the way corporate set up...apparently the sandwich company doesn't know how to make sandwiches...you put the lettuce down to protect the bread THEN the tomatoes so the bread doesn't get soupy and soggy. They put the wet cucumbers, wet pickles AND the wet tomatoes directly on the bread...so they put the wettest things on the bread side so the bread gets gooey and soggy and gross...how is that logical??? AND they don't offer you a notes option to request tomatoes on the side or anything similar. Yes, speedier service is nice, but it doesn't help if you're not eating your meal right away...the longer you wait to eat it the soggier the bread gets, and it's GROSS. It completely ruins the experience I've paid for. You're better off not getting bread at all. Which fortunately is an option. read more

They're quick, which is what we all love about JJ. You can also order online, which is awesome. I wouldn't say their sandwiches are OMG good, but for the price & how quickly they come - they're pretty dang delicous. The fact that you can order 1 sandwich for $7 & they'll deliver it to you in less than 20 minutes...you really can't beat that. They offer a wide selection of sandwiches too. Plus you can get 2 different kinds of bread & you can sub in bread with a lettuce wrap. They have a ton of add-ons & you can customize your sammy any way you want. My top 3 favorites are the BLT (duh), the Vito (it has salami...yum!) & the tuna (I always get this in a lettuce wrap, onions are also made into their tuna mix...I hate onions but I'll still order it from time to time). This JJ has a drive thru, which I haven't seen at another location. It's fast, like they promise, which is great when I have 10 minutes to buy and eat my lunch. The teens working the drive thru have had their act together, bonus. I don't like the cheap, tasteless bread of JJ's but the location is convenient and fast for when I need to grab something during the work day. There is virtually no parking available at this place. I absolutely love Jimmy Johns and enjoy most of the people.  I drive up and order then pull forward where your order taker then ask for my phone number for my rewards.  We complete the transaction and in a short amount of time I have my sandwich and reward then head for home.  On 6-25 however around 6:45 I pulled forward and a lady reached for my card and I worried she had forgot about rewards so asked her?  She quickly snatched the card out of the machine and then announced that it was too late.  She went back to bouncing and moving to the background music and blew it off as no big deal.   Once she handed me the sandwich I asked her if there was some way to salvage the transaction and she said No it's too late.  I then asked her why I get penalized because she makes a mistake and she quickly informed me that I was the one who forgot to give her my phone number.   I understand that one credit is not a big deal but it's your game and I'm playing along while this lady seems to be in music land.         So after getting blamed I told her to enjoy her music and before I drove away the window gets slapped shut.  What did I do wrong and why is she taking orders? read more

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. YAY for building a JJ's so close to my work! But BOO for building a JJ's so close to my work. My newest obsession is the #5 Vito with hot peppers and cut in half. This thing is sooo tasty. Reminds of my my original true love down in Los Angeles, the Torpedo sammy from Guiliano's Delicatessen. I would give this 3.5 stars. I go here a lot so I felt guilty about using the 3 stars and so I upped it. I like the bread - it is tastier than subway and most of the local sandwich establishments. (NOTE - I talked to a senior regional manager of Subway and he acknowledged when they went to all the bread choices - they changed the bread and he agrees none of them are as good as the original) But I digress. The number 10 - Roast Beef is my sandwich of choice but although I like the bread - I wish they had a 6 inch - only have a 9+ inch and it is more than I want for lunch. Also - why is the place so cold. All my friends will now be saying - "is this Bruce". Yep - even I - who don't wear a jacket outside in the low 40's - is saying it is cold and the air just drops on the tables. Possibly my generation but why is the music so high - it isn't bad - but it is loud. They are fast - as they say "freaken fast" and if you need immediate service - this is the place plus they are always polite and friendly. They always seem to have at least 10 + people working the line so it moves along. Actually many times my sandwich is made by the time I pay for it. There are plenty of sandwich choices I go to first before going back there like Extreme Pita (I know it's a not a true sandwich), Panera, Jersey Mike's, Subway and if there was a Pot Belly in Kent, I would sooooooo go there, that's another review. It was so un-memorable, I can't even remember what I had. I remember it was mostly mayo and I think I had some meat in there with lettuce and tomato. I love Jimmy Johns. I'm always the quick nice customer. Get in and get out. I actually live down the street from this particular jimmy johns. Ive tipped 10 dollars on a 10 dollar sandwich multiple times just because I was so happy they delivered. However, three times I've actually tried to go order at the drive up window. I've asked for my card back and let them Keep the sandwich. My reasoning, it doesn't take three snobby girls to stare me down slam the sandwich in my face on the table forget half my order. The same girl questioned me because I said "yes mam" In efforts to be quick and polite. If your going to stand there and stare at me behind the person actually working the window then at least try to smile or engage in the actual job. I'm not asking to be treated like royalty here. I'm just asking these people to do their job. The girls look bored and are filled with attitude. Maybe not very many people have had this experience but it's happened to me three separate times where the people at the window treated me as if they were just so annoyed by their job and like I did something wrong for coming to order at their store. It feels to me as if they are all not happy to be at work and it shows to the point where I don't want to eat anything coming from there eye rolling non professional, inconsiderate staff and manager at that. I will continue to eat jimmy johns. But will continue to spread the word about the service I have received at this particular store. Before my current job I worked in food, drink for 5-6 years and may have high expectations.
