I don't usually like McDonalds, for oh-so-many reasons. But I like this one. It probably helps that it's located in a sweet, small town in Southern Wisconsin. With a need to eat somewhere quickly, we stopped here. When I sat down at a table (my husband was ordering), the manager (or someone similar) walked over and asked me if I wanted any newspapers to read. He also addressed me as "Ma'am." After he walked away, I noticed that nearly every seat and booth was full. Elderly ladies were eating together, mothers were chatting over cups of coffee, and little kids were quietly enjoying their meals. It seemed like the local spot for Sunday morning breakfast and coffee -- hardly what I'd see at a regular McDonald's! There are also some nice, flat-screen televisions around and a brick fireplace in the middle of one of the dining areas. The floors and seats were clean and modern. All the employees were extremely nice and friendly. I'm still baffled that it was a freaking McDonald's! (Four stars because... well... It's McDonald's. Four is the highest I'd ever give one.) read more

McDonald's Fort Atkinson, how I despise thee. Let me count the ways: 1. It took 15 minutes to get our food for dining in. 2. When we received our food, every single chicken nugget was burnt in my son's meal. I guess that explains the 15 minute wait... 3. Every single chicken nugget was burnt for other diner's meals. When asking for replacement chicken nuggets, you refused to give us nuggets and instead forced a burger on us (we saw you do this to other diners as well). 4. Staff was rude when we pointed out the issue. Wouldn't go here other than my son likes playing in the play area. read more

I walk in with my son, around 3 pm. I see two employees (both men) arguing in the kitchen. One is slightly older, he came to take the orders of the customers in front of me. While is taking the order, the younger (has defect on his face, no offense just describing him) came up from the kitchen. He went towards the employee, mid taking the order and tosses off his hat. The employee taking the order gets so mad/embarrassed, that he just leaves. Left the customers he was taking the order for. Now at this point, the customers start to get unruly at this point and yell "COME ON MAN JUST TAKE MY FUCKING ORDER." The older man comes back and says sorry and continues to take the order. Now the socials skills of the younger employee must be low because he came back again. He said, "You know I was just playing with you right?". I seriously could not understand the dynamics of the employees there. The horrible work atmosphere was observed. ***assumption- I do believe that the younger employee who is acting like his workplace is his own personal play place is the son of the manager, overheard him calling the manager, mom. Only telling this situation because they totally messed up my order, Husband said Bacon Egg & Cheese Mcgriddle, and we got Sausage Mcgriddle "Add 2 bacon" on the receipt. Food is pretty much the same as any other McDonalds. Staff works their very hardest and have always been kind to me. I love that they have a Play Place. read more

I know this is McDonalds but give me a break!! Premium grilled chicken sandwich. $7.02 value meal! The chicken was over destroyed, was as thin as the burger on a hamburger and didn't even cover half the bun. Honestly it looked like a chicken dog treat you would find at mounds pet food store. read more

I ordered an ice coffee and 2 friends with who also ordered just coffee we stood in the line for over 10 minutes and there was another guy waiting before us too. There were only 2 or 3 people it looked like and one was new so staff your store better first of all. And there was another girl waiting behind us that works there but was not working at the time she was obviously annoyed with her wait also. I said something to my friend after 15 minutes of waiting that this is ridiculous, the girl heard us and rushed back behind the counter so people could get their food. Mind you they have those screens that show you how long cars have been waiting in the drive through and one was way over 10 minutes. The only reason people got their food or we got our drinks is because the one girl that worked there but wasn't on the clock went and did everything while the other 2 upfront were just talking. Nobody goes on Yelp to review a McDonald's....it's McDonald's. Unfortunately this location is so terrible I'd drive to whitewater or Jefferson before id go here. Waiting in the drive thru for more than ten minutes is extremely common. Cold /soggy french fries are a staple. Service isn't awful up front or in the Windows but the service on grill is terrible. I'm not here to say it tasted bad, cause McDonald's always does(yet we all eat it) I'm saying where were the learning fundamentals when these children couldn't figure that the square peg doesn't fit the round hole. My burgers are never stacked anywhere near centered. Its like a landslide of slop thats glued to the wrapper by its cheese. read more
