I've rightfully posted one and two-star reviews of McDonald's after experiencing dirty restaurants, wrong orders and improperly made orders. Today's five star experience is well deserved. The parking lot was clean and free of trash. The dining room was also clean with no trash on any tables. Early for an appointment and hungry, I stopped in here with backpack, found a quiet table in the corner and ordered on the app. McDonald's has a feature where you can enter your table number and they will bring your food to you. A few minutes later, a very nice lady walked over with my order, confirmed that I'm "Mister Bruce" and set down the tray. She asked if I needed anything and I did not. The coffee was prepared as requested (two cream, one ice) and my Egg McMuffin was assembled properly. I wrote a few Yelp reviews, checked in on work, and then departed about a half hour later. I'm not comparing McDonald's to Ruth's Chris. It's McDonald's and I'm comparing it to other McDonald's experiences. This is five stars, as good as it gets. This is my favorite mcdonald's in the area. I feel like since covid a lot of fast food restaurants went downhill. I usually expect to get my order with missing parts at most places BUT NOT HERE. They have always gotten my orders right and the food has always been fresh. When they have made a mistake they own it and even gave me a free apple pie to make up for it. I come to this Mcdonald's every Tuesday and place a pick up order on the app. they always greet me by name and offer extra sauces. The employees are kind and respectful-- again a hard thing to find in this industry. read more

Ahhh what a disappointing Mickey-Dees! It's most unfortunate because it's going to be the one I will frequent for last minute breakfasts nowadays. It has the nice upgraded look but this is deceiving as the quality of service is pretty lame. The drive-thru is in their newer two lane layout but that doesn't seem to make a difference in speed of service as it would appear they have the same person taking orders for each lane. If you decide to skip the lane and come inside you will be fairly unimpressed with the speed of service and cleanliness too. The one thing you can certainly rely on is that the food will taste the same as it does at every McDonald's out there. read more

Waited in line with many other people for over 10 minutes with no acknowledgement from staff. The time waiting allowed a good look at the state of the kitchen however. The ice cream machine and surrounding work surfaces and equipment appeared to be dirty from food not having been wiped down. Judging by the buildup, it must have be in a continual uncleaned state. I ended up leaving with my son before being served due to cleanliness and service. read more

This location cannot get an order right. Order two meals and only get one fry. Ask for no cheese or pickles and still get both. Order a burger and get nuggets. Order a pie and get one that has bern sitting for so long the fruit is solidified to a hard goo. Try to call to complain and no one answers. Lobby is closed. Drive thru line is too long to sit through again. read more

Just driving through for some breakfast on the way to work, I needed to get my kids pancakes. My fault that we were in a rush and left with out eating, shame on me! We pulled in and got on line (They have a double order line) I was 2 away from ordered and I glanced at the clock and it was 742AM... waiting... waiting... waiting... waiting... I finally order at about 755AM ( I was two cars back) ... waiting... waiting... waiting... waiting...I got my food at 820. Thats right, you heard me 820AM I get all the way to work in Charlotte, set my kids up with pancakes and all in the world is good. Hilariously bad. Waited thirty minutes for nuggets, no apology of course, because these people are animals. Open-mouthed stares, tell you they're out of things in a tone like you were stupid to try (as is the case in virtually every McDonald's on the planet) -- "Oh of course the ice cream doesn't work, how silly of you to attempt ordering any!" Actually I wish it were even that sociable. Usually it's just, "Ain't got ice cream." Like they never have it and don't know why you're trying to get it from them. No explanation, no sorry. Don't know how to count change or think with their human minds like human beings. I gave something like $5.11 on a $4.61 bill because I wanted quarters back, and she stared at it for ages before handing me back the change and telling me I overpaid. Jesus. So sad. You don't need to think, you just need to put the numbers into the register and let it think for you. Seriously, McDonald's people are sub-human. This location likes to randomly close earlier than the hours posted, so that's a nice extra screw-you. So glad that McDonald's is failing and needing government bail-outs to continue, but man... what a terrible country to live in that suck bail-outs are allowed to happen, thus eternally propping up mediocrity. Service here could be better. Temperament with some of the workers could be more pleasant as well instead of a negative attitude with a customer's customized order. I sensed a lot of irritability with one of the workers who was explaining to me how the orders are done, but she never answered my question. One of her coworkers chimed in and answered my question of how I should place my breakfast sandwich with no meat order in the future. Don't get mad or frustrated with the customers for asking questions about a restaurants' setup that only you the workers know about. I added the picture of my order too which doesn't look appetizing to me. read more

McDonald's - No green eggs or ham - Fast Food Near Me - Fort Mill, South Carolina

Well, here we go again. This location always has and always will be the worst franchise in the Mcdonald's chain. Each time I forget to check my order bag and get hoe...you guessed it, missing items. This despite having had to repeat my order over and over at the drive-through. The last time I was shorted an order of nuggets. I know right, just an order of nuggets. but, I was just so tired of getting shorted, I had it. I called back to the place to explain to the manager hoping to just get credit upon my next visit. She hung up on me...twice. I called the customer complaint line. That experience was just as bad. Had to repeat myself over and over. It became very apparent to me that the young lady was not paying attention to me. All she did was read from a script in a very dry bland manner. It was a laughable joke. I was asked would I like a follow-up call. Two weeks now and nothing. I'm done with this restraint location. They swap crews with been worse crews. It's a shame. I wish I could give it no stars. read more

As you can see from the many reviews...don't stop here if you are in a hurry. Always under staffed...period. The past three visits have gotten worse and averaged over 30 minutes each time. No longer fast food and convenient. The owner should be ashamed...she owns a handful in the area and her management team should stop padding numbers and provide an ok service at the very least. read more

The service is atrocious, from speed to demeanor towards the customer. I can appreciate the hustle-and-bustle that comes with a meal-time rush, but that is simply no excuse to be rude and condescending towards customers. Even experienced it during a complete lull in traffic, I was literally the only one in the drive-through lane with my daughter. Then we starting receiving hair in our food. Three seperate burgers, two different times of day, different weeks. While we appreciate the extra condiments, they truly aren't necessary. Avoid this McDonalds like the plague. read more

This McDonald's is nice and fairly clean unlike some. The food drinks and service we're on point with polite waiters that care about you. The tables and appliances we're clean and neat. The only thing that bothered me was the water pressure in the bathroom. I had just left Carowinds and needed to wash my hands before I ate, but it took a while to wash them because the water was barely sprinkling. the person with me got a Big Mac and it was put together neatly for the first time. I had a quarter pounder and it was actually a quarter pound. I would go back again after a long day at Carowinds. read more

This McDonald's looks super snazzy... It's one of those new ones with the double drive thru windows which has to come in handy at some point... Luckily, it wasn't too busy when we came through... Honestly, McDonald's visits are mostly hit or miss for me... Usually one item is hot, the other is lukewarm or sometimes even cold... Ugh. This one was a hit... The nuggets* I ordered were nice and crispy... The fries were piping hot and not overly salted... The Happy Meal toy was a hit with my friend's kid, so there's that... *Yeah, I know the "nuggets" are mechanically separated chicken like parts, but sometimes I like that sort of thing... It just takes me back to days when I didn't have to pay bills and my only concern was making sure my toy was the one I wanted. read more

Employee at the register is always in a bad mood (morning weekdays). And don't get me started with the time you have to wait for your order. Understaffed? I don't know. This McDonald's needs some attention. First opened it was great then the A team left and went drastically down hill. The A team returned again a few years later then went back down hill once they left. This place is dirty, employees are very rude, loud and obnoxious. Time and time again they can never get my order right the first time. Last visit the kid at the drive through argued with my wife about not receiving the correct size drink when it was clearly marked on the receipt. Just yelled pull ahead and slammed the window shut. Did the same thing to me prior visit. Management needs to get a hold of this place and live up to the areas expectations of great service. read more

I have been visiting this McDonald's rather frequently while waiting to pick up kids from practice. Every time I go, I say it to myself, this is one of the worst stores they have. The service is poor, the quality is worse and the prices are higher than other McDonald's in the area. Wait times are awful, when it's not even crowded, the employees are extremely rude and must hate their job. It shows! Sandwiches are sloppy, thrown together and fall apart when opening the wrapper. Today, which will be my last, all of the above occurred. The prices are some, if not all, of the items are higher. I ordered a McChicken which is usually $1.29. They charge $1.89 for some reason. It certainly isn't for a better experience. The wait was long and there were 2 cars in front of me. When I asked for a receipt, I was asked by the young lady, why I needed one. Then she told me to drive back around. When I did that, they couldn't figure it out and the lady was so rude! When I finally opened my sandwich, which almost fell out in the bag because it wasn't even wrapped completely, the bread, lettuce and Mayo were falling apart, on one side and on the top of the bun. It was the sloppiest, messiest McChicken I have ever had. Its hard the mess that up, but they did...because they don't care. Stay away! read more

This MCDS screws up my order 95% of the time. Sometimes the food is wrong, sometimes they dont give me my whole order, but it happens majority of the times ive been..unfortunatly its cheap, fast and right around the corner...check your food before you leave. and if you get a smile while your there you must be special. read more

Service here is so poor. It's in a very high traffic area and is very busy for that reason alone. I pulled in this AM and was the only car waiting to order, while I sat there a car pulled into the other order lane. Employee came over the speaker with their opening, "would you like to order (insert menu item here) today?". I respond, "no thank you." Silence.......... then I hear her help the other lane. She comes back to me and asks what I want, I give her the breakfast menu item #, more silence........... then I hear her help the other lane again. I can see the initial entry of what I ordered on my screen so I know she heard me, never asked what I wanted to drink, never gave me a total, asked me to pull forward, nothing. I left. Drove 2 exits South to the Chick-fil-A where I was quickly acknowledged and helped, with a smile, with better quality food and my order wasn't practically thrown out the drive thru window into my car. Ok, for years I stayed away from McDonalds completely, partially because there weren't many healthy choices and partly because of the reason for this review. I have been waiting for 25 minutes for an Egg McMuffin. I waited in a long Drive Thru line, and then was told to pull over and wait. Seriously? I waited for about 15 minutes for my egg McMuffin to be brought out. This is not fast food, folks! This McDonald's is clean and typically the managers and workers are very friendly. But this kind of a wait for a simple egg McMuffin is ridiculous! I'm not sure I'm going to keep coming back. read more
