    Order board

First time to this location. If you don't know McDonald's - then your unAmerican - lol. I used the electronic order board. Don't think it's faster. Actually think it takes longer. Too many questions and the responsiveness lags. And if you want to pay with cash, you have to go to the counter anyway. I'm a McDonald's shareholder. I wonder if this really adds customer value.

WORMS IN FOOD... Probably the slowest McDonalds on the planet. Waited 25 minute for two egg McMuffins. Seems to be par for this place. Same thing happened last time I was here. They are busy though, I'll give them that but they need to make the fast better in fast food. Update lol: when I looked in the bag they gave me a bacon egg McMuffin and a sausage egg and cheese bagel. Problem is I used the touch key to make my and all I did was add a quantity of 2 for the McMuffin..... so much for that working at all. Will avoid this daycare center forever. UPDATE!!!!!! Found a round worm in the sausage...

What a slow, tiring process using their in-store ordering system. McDonalds saying $ on staff at the price of satisfied customers. Avoid the place.

This has got to be the slowest place on earth. All you see is tons of workers standing around. No leadership here pushing them to get orders out as quick as possible. The food is subpar at best. See the chicken. It's almost black? What!

Waited in line for 20 minutes just for her to be rude... no thank you. Lobby was closed, so there wasn't an option of going inside either.

We opted to sit at the bar and ordered a mix of plates to share: Ceviche shooters -- refreshing and full of flavor. Hot honey chicken sandwich -- sweet, spicy, and perfectly crispy. Grouper tacos -- light, fresh, and delicious. The food was excellent across the board, but the service was truly outstanding -- warm, attentive, and welcoming

Let me start with the good: this place has ambiance. Sleek granite countertops, copper salt and…read morepepper mills, that upscale-casual waterfront vibe without the water-- Oar & Iron looks the part. But looks, my friends, will only get you so far. Before we even get to the food, let's address the strangest thing I've ever encountered at a restaurant: there is no complimentary water. None. You want water? That'll be two dollars per person--for filtered water. Not bottled Evian. Not fancy sparkling from the Alps. They're filtering tap water and charging you two bucks a head for it. I've dined at a lot of places, and I have genuinely never seen this move. We passed on principle--but imagine sitting down for a nice meal and being told basic hydration is an upcharge. Absolutely bizarre. We kicked things off with the calamari, served up on a long plate with a creamy dipping sauce. Crispy, decent flavor, no complaints on execution. But the portion? Twenty-one dollars. Twenty-one dollars for what amounts to about five bites each if you're splitting it. At that price point, I'm expecting a generous pile of golden fried goodness, not a modest arrangement that leaves you still hungry. The short rib gnocchi had promise--rich, beefy flavor in that sauce, pillowy gnocchi, fresh parsley and shaved parm on top. It wanted to be a star. But here's the thing: half the short rib pieces were more fat than meat, and the portion left us wondering if the kitchen was rationing. Good bones on this dish, but it needs more love in the execution. Now, my wife's scallop risotto. Beautiful presentation--golden seared scallops perched on creamy rice with fresh arugula. Looks like a magazine cover, right? Wrong. It arrived missing ingredients. Just... incomplete. And that's where service comes in. Speaking of which: our server was MIA for the first half of the meal. Questions unanswered, that "are we invisible?" energy. Things improved later, but first impressions matter, and ours was rough. The Verdict: Oar & Iron wants to play in the upscale dining league, but it's not earning the price of admission. No free water--and charging for filtered tap? A $21 appetizer that barely qualifies as a snack? Fatty short ribs, an incomplete dish, and a server who forgot we existed the first half of our meal? This one drops to two stars. Style over substance, and not enough of either.

They have cute pics on the wall. We enjoyed the atmosphere. It was not busy at 5:00 pm on the Saturday after Christmas. However, our server Emily said they had a large lunch rush and that they have been steadily busy since opening July 2025. We also love wings, so we ordered 10 lightly tossed with hot sauce. Like other reviews, I can confirm that the wings are large, juicy and meaty. The hot sauce wasn't terribly hot and had a bit of a sweet taste to it. The accompanying ranch dressing tasted home made. Our pizza was a meat lovers with extra cheese. Toppings included Sausage, Pepperoni and Bacon. It was very meaty. But, the best part of this thin crust pizza is that their crust is crispy, which we love after living in St. Louis for many years. In fact, if they used provel cheese vs mozzarella, it could stand in for a St, Louis style pizza. Very tasty, we loved it. Emily was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. We met the owner who is the cook and she was also very friendly. We loved the signed bills on the wall, so we added one of our own. We will look for it during our next visit. It is for certain that we will return!

The atmosphere alone makes it worth checking out. I've been twice now, and the first visit was so good that I brought friends back the second time. The first time, I had the white hot chicken special, which was crispy, flavorful, and really well done. I also got a coffee, which was solid. I would've ordered it again on my second visit, but they were out of espresso and only had decaf available. The food on the second visit was still good, just not quite as strong as the first time. The staff has been consistently friendly on both visits, which I appreciated. That said, there were a couple of service hiccups each time, our food was brought out without silverware, and when we were told there was a table ready outside, there wasn't anyone available to direct us to it, so we had to guess and hope we weren't taking the wrong table. Food timing can also be a bit slow, so it's worth planning ahead if you have somewhere to be afterward. Overall, it's a really enjoyable brunch spot with great views and a fun atmosphere, just with a few service details that could be smoothed out.
