Really awesome drive-thru experience (and I haven't eaten at a McDonald's in YEARS since my college days of McChicken sammies and iced sugar free vanilla coffee). I was unbearably hungry after my preggo appointment, so I ordered the Pico Guacamole with Artisan Grilled Chicken Sandwich -- and it was surprisingly good! The artisan roll was super fluffy, the guac was fresh and generous, the pico de gallo was as good as Moe's/Chipotle, the lettuce was crisp, the white cheddar cheese was melty, the creamy buttermilk ranch sauce was tasty, and the chicken breast filet was absolutely legit. I'm really surprised at how McDonald's has upped their game in offering healthier options. I'll definitely consider stopping by when I'm hangry again. read more

Meanwhile, someone at the counter is saying "it's been one of those days" but has also said "I don't know what the problem is. We have plenty of people working." I wish I could leave no stars. This is a "24 hour" establishment, but only when the overnight crew wants to work. This is the second time I have come here where I can't order food because the staff is "in transition" from dinner to breakfast. First the good things; ordering and completion of order were fast staff was pleasant fried were good and almost hot the Dr Pepper was not flat now the bad the buffalo chicken wrap seemed to be mostly wrap, the chicken piece seemed small got the McRib, never had it. After having it, I feel McRobbed, never again. The employees here have no pride in their work, they don't even try. I almost never eat here because it's such a mess. Place is always filthy especially the mens room. I prefer to get food to go if the kids talk me into this place, but you have to sit there and check every single item that you ordered. If you don't Murphy's law kicks in and you will arrive home missing items. Want to get them back? No one will answer the phone. Corporate doesn't care if you email them--they refer you to the "franchise." You have to go back down and convince them they left something out. Very inept employees. Management doesn't know how to properly do anything, they've been out of soda since last week. To take things to a stronger statement on miss management, they allow clerks to use phones while serving customers, which messed my order up, including the soda issue... you know my peace offering for multiple ignorant mess ups, a .25 cent dipping sauce. If I could assign a negative rating, I would. I've been to this drive thru twice and the first time I was annoyed because the order was missing 3 things that I didn't notice until arriving home. Okay, Things happen. I get it. I then tried to call but couldn't because the phone (which must be a cell phone) didn't have voicemail setup and it's set to go directly to VM, no chance of a live person. Today was visit two and like they were trying to teach me to not trust them, they again burned me and there was a missing item. This time a more significant item--- my dbl quarter pound sandwich. Once again, can't call---no VM setup. How does McDonalds corporate allow this? I know, they don't care either because I sent them a message after the first time and they replied days later to say the franchise owner would reach out. Right. Also, no follow up from Mcd Corp. Honestly, reviews on fast food chains like this isn't about the food but more about the experience because you can go to any McDonald's and get the same order because it's standardized. I ordered at the speaker and when I got to the first window, the white girl asked me if someone had taken my order.... which I said yes or how else would I know the total for my order... At the speaker I literally placed my order and they had me confirm on the screen so I knew I wasn't imagining this whole situation. She had a whole attitude while asking me my order again and was clearly not happy with her job. I work fast food and I don't get upset on our mistakes. Except for the ONE time I couldn't get an iced coffee, this fast food restaurant rocks! On Main Street in Fuquay-Varina, don't pass it!! There's a young female manager who is extremely rude. She had brown hair, Caucasian and looked about in her early to mid 20s. I was inside Mcdonalds and she rudely stated "my lobby's closed" this was around 8pm on 7/22. Customer service at this McDonalds is horrible starting with this supposed manager. This is by far the WORST establishment to go to in Fuquay!!!!! I do not even know where to begin with the insane amount of terrible experiences I have encountered over the years, but we can start with the most recent: Yesterday my family and I went there to have a quick dinner. [My son has been obsessed with the McDonald's app where he can scan his toys to play games.] The place had two other customers inside, aside from ourselves, which apparently was a reason for all the employees, manager included, to be loud, obnoxious, and unprofessional. I understand that McDonalds is not Ruth Chris' but I do not go to a restaurant to hear the employees rough housing and yelling throughout the entire building. With the belligerent employees aside, the actual place was filthy. We went into the play area and I can't even trust my child to play barefoot without stepping in dirt, food, etc. all over the floor. (Pictures below). There was not a clean table to sit at in the entire play area. To top that, my burger was wrong even though it clearly stated on the ticket that was attached to the burger that it is suppose to come with Bacon. Let me just tell you how many times I have purchased a damn burger here and it came out WRONG!! Previously I have asked for a happy meal CHEESEBURGER just meat and cheese. I am not lying when I tell you that the burger I have ordered numerous times has come with either everything on it, or just a bun and cheese, or only meat. How do you mess up a cheeseburger?!?! Well they can and do it fairly regularly. Now back to what I was saying - I went up to address my incorrect burger and when I was given the correct one, the girl who was sweeping the floor took my burger and handed it to me. So today I was in fuquay and my daughter was hungry and wanted a happy meal. Of course, I took her to the closest McDonald's. I went through the drive-thru and the lady at the last window was a little rude, but I brushed it off considering it's probably been a long day for her. Regardless of that, I got my food (a happy meal, Big Mac meal, and quarter pounder meal) and went home. When I got home I opened my daughter's happy meal for her and of course, it was wrong. I ordered no onions on her cheeseburger, and upon opening it, you guessed it, onions. I wiped off her burger and she was happy. So then came mine, the quarter pounder. I was excited to get the game piece for Trick.Treat.Win. because that's precisely why I ordered what I did. When I took out the 1/4 from the bag, the box seemed to be tampered with. Over where the game piece is supposed to be, there were 3 "24 hour drive-thru" stickers. Seemed strange to me, but I started taking the stickers off and realized that someone had already taken off the game piece and reattached it with some drive-thru stickers. It was obvious it had been tampered with, and that the game piece was no longer stuck to the box. I rarely ever call a store, even if they mess up an item, or are rude, but this "game" is supposed to be fair for everyone and the employees should have no right to decide the customers fate of these games. So, I called the store to tell them what happened. The lady who answered the phone, I wish I remembered her name, answered very politely. I told her my complaint, and was in no way trying to "get free stuff". She blatantly told me "no one in this restaurant would do that"..making it seem as if I was lying. I'm sure people do that, but I AM NOT ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE. For her to tell me that no one did that, even though it was OBVIOUS, made me extremely upset. She said "that seems fishy" and that she would have to "watch the cameras more closely". Do I believe that? Not a chance. As soon as I find out who the owner is he will be receiving an email that will hopefully open his eyes to what kind of people his restaurant employs. In my opinion, this is just wrong. All of it. Went there to get lunch today. Stood by the register for 5 ton10 minutes waiting for someone to come in and take my order. Multiple employees looked at me from a distance including the manager or district manager that is always there, bilut not one of them even acknowledged that I was there or said a word to me and no one ever came anywhere near the counter. I figured if it was going to take that long for them just to take my order there was no telling how long it would take to get the food afterwards. Good thing there are many other fast food restaurants right in that area that would be happy to have my business, so I just went to Burger King and was greeted right away and I got my order from them in less than five minutes. Not the best experience. Drive up was slow and since they were only operating the drive up, it should have been all hands on deck. Asked for ketchup and hot mustard. Neither in the bag so had to re-summon the attendee. Drink top was hard to put on by attendee (we observed this from the car). Turns out it was malformed so then we struggled with it in the car. If you observed the top was bad, why give it to customer? Sweet Tea was very watered down and not very sweet. Kinda the point of "sweet" tea is that it is sweet. Fries were almost cold. Only ate a few. Fries are the best part of McDonald's am I right? The burger was excellent. It's CFA next time! read more
