My five stars review is for similar fast food restaurants not for restaurants in general you cannot come to McDonald's and expect to be served gourmet dinner or you are bound to be disappointed. If you tail your expectations to reality, this is actually a fantastic McDonald's. When I walked in I immediately noticed how big, open, and clean the place was. The girl at the counter was friendly and didn't have too much of a fuss placing my order for two bacon cheeseburgers with no bun and when they came out in their own little individual plastic containers they looked excellent. I spent some weeks in eastern Europe last summer and I noticed that the McDonald's there are so much nicer than they are in the United States, well this McDonald's is closing in on being similar to the ones down there in fact, the style is very similar to the ones I saw in Eastern Europe. The food was fresh, the drink station was immaculately clean, there was no dirt no your food, nor debris, nor trash on the floor and the trash cans were empty. I didn't try the drive-through but the line was not very long and it look like it was moving at a good clip. I think the thing that struck me about this McDonald's is that the employees didn't appear to be unhappy about working for McDonald's, they seemed content, and that is amazing to find so it appears that the management/ownership must be doing something right. This was my first visit to this McDonald's although I pass by here several times a month on the way back and forth to court and I have never stopped but I think I might start coming here when I have a little craving for a bacon cheeseburger no bun. read more

Clean place and nice staff. Fries have been good thus far and burgers have been not cold. 4 stars for me. Glad Mickey D's has added some lubrications( lettuce, tomatoes and some condiments), to their quarter pounders with the QP Deluxe. They always had good flavor to me but were dry. read more

5/24/2023 10:30am We ordered normally and went through the and paid normally; but when we went to get our food the person at the window started professional but standoffish. Thinking nothing of that because it's fast food we get it we carried on, we had asked for extra sweetener in a coffee, there was not enough that the person wanted to drink it so we kindly asked to get sweetened. The girls attitude changed from professional to rude and nasty. We asked if we could get just a couple more pumps and she was rude and shut the window and said don't yell at me as if we were yelling or being rude to her. Don't know why there's all the bad reviews for this location. This place is pretty awesome every time I go through drive-thru. The staff at the window is pleasant and I always get efficient service. My overall satisfaction for this McDonald's is high. They always seem to get my orders right and they offer fast and friendly service. I recall even saying to myself when leaving, "Wow that was fast!" Apparently, Mickey D's rolled out The McPick 2 Menu where you can mix and match menu items on a special menu. This program lets you choose 2 of your favorite items for only $2 such as the McChicken, the McDouble, their World Famous Fries or their Mozzarella Sticks (3 Piece). ***Prices and participation may vary. For a limited time. Price of single item posted on menu board. So if you're eating food here, you may want to ask about that menu. Most of the time I'm coming here for a coffee to wake me up. Well McDonalds in Green Cove Springs really showed us that they are not interested in return business. Tonight, I assumed it was THE EVENING MANAGER told me that I needed to go thru the drive -thru again to order a small coke. Jeeezzzz.... our family of 5 placed an order at the Drive-Thru and forgot to get our youngest son a small drink. I informed the customer service associate at the pick up window after I had already paid for our order at the first window. After handing my credit card to the associate her manager informed her that I needed to go back through the Drive-Thru and place the order. Really, was she trying to prove a point or did she not know how to use the cash register? The customer service associate wanted to help, but the manager just wouldn't have it. All she had to do is ring it up. There wasn't even another vehicle behind us..... This is not the path for repeat business! Please train your managers or shift leaders! read more

After traveling to Palatka for a funeral I was on my way back to Jax and STARVING. I saw McDonalds and decided to get fries to hold me over until I got back into Jax. I thought it would be quick.... Nope. First of all I pull into the parking lot and see 0 cars in the drive through! I thought this would be an easy process...nope. They had the two car thingie for ordering so I order and as soon as I start to pull up...TRICKERY! There were 5 cars in front of me that I couldn't see! We were in line for about 15 minutes before we got to the window and I joked to my friend-what if we have to pull up into one of the numbered spaces to wait for fries...well, WE DID! COME ON!! I told the guy at the window I just made that joke and he laughed like sorrrryyyyy but either way we waited another 5 minutes for fries and they were at least hot and fresh and everything you could ask for in. This was the worst experience ever. Asked for hot food was given cold food that was not remotely hot. The server told me to get out of the lobby since he was closed but the doors were still open. Argued with me that the fries were fresh out of the grease. He is a disgrace to the company and should not work in this industry. Checking Google and iPhone maps, this location says they are open 5 AM to 4 AM as is their drive-through. I pulled up at 2:45 AM the lights were off on the outside the automated voice machine did go off when I pulled up to the speaker box but nobody took my order I looked inside and nobody was inside either. If you're not open at specific times you should probably adjust your hours so people know. read more

My husband and I live right here in Green Cove. McDonald's has repeatedly gotten drive through orders wrong, usually giving us a burger prepared their way, not ours. Confusion seems to happen when they add the condiments we choose, in addition to putting on other items that usually come on the burger as advertised. This results in an unrecognizable mess. The short order window person just doesn't listen. It happened again tonight, and instead of just choking the burger down, I told my husband that I'd had enough of their carelessness - to take me back. Upon returning the Quarter Pounder that I'd ordered with lettuce, tomato, and mayo - to which they'd added unwanted onions and ketchup - I asked for a free small order of fries for our having to come back. Window teen took the old burger and said she'd pass on my message. We pulled up to the receiving window, expecting to get fresh burger, free fries, and plenty of apologies. Not to be. A short excited woman loudly told us there'd be no free fries - that the reason my burger was wrong was my fault. Though I'd specifically asked for my choice of condiments, she said playback of my order with the order taker revealed that when he asked me if this was "add on," I said yes, when I understood it as "only." Apparently, with my not knowing their terminology, I confused the order taker and their system, resulting in my ruined burger. I feel so ignorant. The fast-talking frantic woman in charge, so convinced that I was wrong, passed the corrected food to my husband. I said I wanted our money back. She said no. I was angry and horrified. I told her I was going to report my experience to Yelp. She looked triumphant, arrogantly closed the window in our faces, and trotted away. No apologies. read more

They would have gotten more stars if not for them completely forgetting my burgers. I went through the drive-thru and and had to make a u-turn and go back for my burgers and some straws. I mean, it wouldn't have been so bad if it were just one burger, but it was ALL 5! Then, they acted like I wouldn't have come back for them and even rolled their eyes at me. Green Cove Springs only has so many places to grab some fast food breakfast on the way to work. Day 1: I was missing food that I ordered. No biggie, but I have to wait to get the missing stuff and watched 4 cars go through and get their stuff before I got the stuff I was missing. Day 2: I corrected the order because it was wrong on the screen, she repeated it to me at the window and they still gave me the wrong stuff at the second window. I had to ask for my other hashbrowns. When they asked me to pull forward, I said no because of what had happened the previous day. Day 3: I ordered something different and paid extra ($1.40 extra) to have bacon added because I wanted the bacon AND the sausage. When I got to work and opened it (even after paying the extra). I only had the bacon, NO SAUSAGE. GRRRRR. SHOW ME THE BACON.... AND sausage! read more

Came in on a Saturday apparently they had activity going on they were busy but my food was great and they where very polite Store was clean.
