I hate writing negative reviews but today was bad! This morning, I stopped to get hot chocolate. I got a cup of hot milk. Literally white and no flavor. Because it was hot I didn't try it until I got home and I just cut my losses. Then my kids wanted kids meals for dinner. (Twice in one day... Crazy I know!) Round 2 was worse. I ordered on the app and then pulled around. She gave me the drinks and asked me to pull into a spot. I did and it took another 12 min. Checking the food I realized that the fries were cold. Not luke warm... Cold had to have been sitting out for a good while. So I pull back around and tell them. They then ask me to pull forward AGAIN when there was no one in line or behind me. I should've said no and that's what I'll do in the future. The new ones come out 5 min later. Wrong amount and no salt. Literally not a granule and I had specifically asked for extra salt knowing this McDonald's is opposes to salting their fries for some reason. So this time, I unload my kids and we go inside. The employee asked me if I wanted salt packets or if he needed to remake them. I wanted them made correctly which isn't a big ask especially on the 3rd try I ended up spending 24 minutes trying to get my order at a time there was only 1 person in front of us and a couple that came behind on our night we need a fast option between activities. read more

Why dont they have zero stars. Once again, the idiots at Mcds cant get an order right. I ordered 4 Mcribs, 1 10 piece nugget, 3 med fries and 1 small fry. They parked me. 10 minutes later, they came to car and asked what I was waiting for....I had to give them the receipt so they could get order. Came back 5 mins later....no small fries...so i had to go back around to get them. Once there, they tried to hand me someone else's order. Your operations manager is incompetent and these workers are at best...very poor. read more

Shane and the whole team here were awesome. We stopped in on New Years Day and everyone was so happy and friendly. The food was great. Everything was fresh and the order was correct. The location was also nice and clean. We are road-tripping and they helped make it a great stop for us. read more

There is a lot to unpack at this location but I just have to keep coming back because sometimes you need that McDonald's fountain coke. First off, I recommend to never use their drive thru. It normally takes very long and more often than not, our orders have been messed up. However, the inside is truly a treat these days with all the refurbishments they have done. It is very clean in the inside and has a very cool local feel to it. They have switched over to the kiosks and no longer have the fountain drinks available for customers. The kiosks are normally quick and easy but still they are a little slow to get your food out. The seating is also nice and new in the inside since they revamped everything. Overall, the food is McDonalds food so you know what you are getting but the customer service and "fast" food part of the experience is truly lacking at this location read more

Honestly, I get that there was only 1 person working tonight but it infuriates me that I never got to order. Wasn't told it was going to be a while until I started speaking and having to ask if they were even open. I waited over 30 minutes and was trying to be understanding. Then when I decided to just leave and go home I looked into the drive through windows and I think the guy working just left. This left me pretty upset and hungry after a long day. read more

I am not a McDonalds person at all. However, I do like the egg McMuffin. I have a long drive in the mornings and I have been stopping here to get one. Linda, the cashier is one of the most friendly people ever! I love pulling up and seeing her. Then, Nicole hands me my sandwich. She is a sweetie, too! I went today to this Hampstead McDonalds to get my regular mcchicken meal and my childrens chicken nugget kids meals, I pulled up to the drive-thru window and the cashier was the only sober one! Even though the window is small I could see in the back that the employees were OBVIOUSLY stoned out of their minds!!!! I could smell the marijuana through the window, this is highly inappropriate for my young children to witness. Also, many of my friends with children go to this McDonalds after sports and school events with their kids, if this is a frequent occurrence - these children are being exposed to things that they shouldn't be exposed to. Finally writing a review. The family and I have been here a few times. It's just like any other fast food. Service, quality, and timeliness are good one day, then a total wreck another. It's fast food. I will say, I called to talk with the shift manager because the order was wrong from the drive thru. She asked me to return and would give me a whole new order. This is consistently the worst McDonald's I've been too. Tonight the staff was extremely rude and they messed up my order to the point that it seemed on purpose. Two years ago this store was at the very bottom. I use to drive an extra 14 miles into Wilmington to eat at McDonalds. About every three or four months I'd eat at the Hampstead store hoping they had turned things around. I filled out surveys criticizing the store. I even called the owners twice to express my disappointment. The food, service, and maintenance were way below par. There was a big push in 2022 to improve the store in all aspects. The interior has been refurbished and it's pretty nice inside. Now it's one of the top two McDonalds on my list. I'm pretty picky. Yes, once in a while someone has an off day or someone doesn't show up for work. That's a problem for all retail stores because they are staffed by human beings. I know. I've been there. Sometimes I have to bring something to their attention but the management now responds. They didn't a few years ago. You need to throw out reviews before 2022. Special mention to Braxton who took our money and said "have a great day!" - he was a younger employee, and those skills are hard to find these days in people! So hats off to you, Braxton. I made an online order, when i got there of course I told her the number. I go to the first window she's not even paying attention to me and when she finally realizes i'm there and tells me to go to next window. I go to next window and they are asking me if 20 different orders were mine.. none of them were. Kept asking and asking what I ordered and asking to see for themselves, I showed them multiple times. The guy at the window was arguing with the other lady. It was such an inconvenience. They have improved somewhat in getting your orders right. I use the word "somewhat" loosely. When you pay $1.89 for a med. fry, you expect to get your money is worth. The med. fry container was lucky to have less than half of the fries in it. This was on 6-14-2017, about 7:30 PM. It wasn't worth the trip back to get it replaced, then my sandwiches would had been ruined. I would give it 3 stars, is just because its close enough to my house. read more

Staff have always been very rude, only had a few orders completed correctly the first time around. Honestly, I've never been to a crappier McDonald's. Obviously, I don't expect stellar service, however, they could be more polite. There have been many times I've gone through the drive thru for a sweet tea only and they even managed to mess that up. Worst and slowest service of any Mcds around....we consistently are met with 10 mins or more wait time. Avoid this one, you will be frustrated. Stopped here on the way from picking my father up from The Crab Pot. This is a newer mcdonalds. The entrance and exit are in weird places. The drive thru is standard. The service wasn't the greatest. The cashier wasn't all that friendly. At least the order was right. read more

Service was okay . I asked for crispy chicken wrap with light ranch, but it came with no ranch at all and 2 chicken tenders . Thats way too much meat , I could barley fit my mouth around it .
