The manager on shift was losing her lid, and tried arguing with me about my order. She forgot my fries and drink. Then when I tried telling her, she didn't believe me when I said I had paid and ordered for the meal. Tried to make me feel like i was scamming her. Then when I asked her for some sauce, she told me me it was going to be $1.20 and that I needed to give her my card again. All while there is more than 15 cars waiting. She loved being passive aggressive while dealing with my sauce transaction such a joke. read more

I don't have enough information to say they're unscrupulous; but the way they run their restaurant is very consistent with their being cheap bastards. They've "forgotten" to include napkins in to-go orders more than once, which is really unforgivable because by the time you're down the road and need a napkin, it's too late. They have also screwed up my orders before, more than once. Really? Napkins? How much could you possibly be saving by stiffing people on the napkins? read more

I went through the drive thru and the girl at the pay window was extremely rude and condescending (her name was Emily). Emily said she couldn't use a coupon because she already completed the transaction even though we didn't give her the money for our meal yet. Then she rolled her eyes and said she had to get the manager. At this point we didn't want them to mess with our food or anything so we just said it's fine. The bulldozers were moving dirt around for a good while across Sunnyside Road from the center with Safeway and Rite Aid at roughly SE 122nd. No one really talked about what was going to go in there, where a larger 1-story ranch home from the '60s on a large lot used to be. However, as the framing kept moving along, it was apparent it would be a fast food retail pad. And then, it became obvious that "the Golden Arches" would be one of the staples at this very busy corner in Happy Valley. For a McDonald's to get less than a 3 stars would beg the question, "What's up with that?" This McDonald's gets 4 stars. For one thing, this new location is very appealing, and that applies to the restaurant building and how it is finished as well as to how the restaurant is sited. Also, the service was very friendly and efficient, even though they were busy with grand opening week type crowds. As for the food, well, it's reliable and, if you're looking for predictability, then McDonald's almost always delivers. Kudos to this MickeyD's for their opening week specials. With many years ahead in which to bring in customers and rake in the coin at this convenient location, complete with a protected left turn, easy access, and parking, they have a few nice specials going on which, while not freebies, are real "roll backs." The grand opening specials will end soon. Sadly, they had Big Macs for 99 cents for a couple of days and I missed that. I much prefer a Big Mac over a Quarter Pounder with cheese - much better tasting and only about 20 additional calories. However, I got to experience the cheap thrill of dining on 2 Quarter Pounders with cheese for $3.00. Welcome to the neighborhood, McDonald's in Happy Valley. read more

It's our neighborhood McDonalds and service is pretty consistent. They have 2 drive thru lanes that converge into one so drive thru gets pretty busy. I haven't found the wait time very long unlike other yelp reviews. It easy to get in and out of because there's a traffic light into the shopping area. This McDonalds is generally pretty clean inside since we are in the suburbs. Only thing that bugs me about the drive thru is that they sometimes forget to put napkins in your bag. Check before you drive off! read more

Should've read the reviews for this location before spending my money. I was craving a filet of fish. Ordered the new $6 deal. My fries were cold and soggy, my fish filet was hard around the edges, obviously not fresh and my pie was not served by the due date/time; it was 7pm. I really like McDonalds for the convenience. When we got to the pay window we tried to check the order and we're naming the things on it, while we were doing that she kept saying yes to us so we proceeded to the next window when we got our food it was missing a bunch of stuff and they were being total a**holes about it and were acting like we were in the wrong. I don't know about anyone else's experience here but for me it's always been great. Since the day they have opened I have never had a bad experience (thankfully.) I don't go here often but when I want to grab a quick bite, I know this McDonald's will do the job right! It's right next to my house so not a far drive at all. Shockingly incompetent McDonald's. We have marveled at how awful this location is since we moved out here 5 years ago. We get orders w/o mistakes approximately 35-40% of the time, whether dining in or using the drive-thru. To little surprise, the mistakes mean you don't get something you paid for, rather than vice-versa. The staff is nice and all but who cares when you have to visit them twice for one meal? I think there might be a carbon monoxide leak or lead paint chips they're eating in the break-room. I can't think of anything else to explain the entire restaurant being run by brain-dead dullards. read more

A little over a year later, and you'll be lucky if they don't melt part of the bag onto your sausage patty -- yep, mine tasted like burnt plastic and you could flick off the bits of burnt plastic. Tonight, I ordered a plain Quarter Pounder with cheese, with fries & a drink. The good news is that they got my drink right. The rest... Let's just say I got warm (not hot) unsalted fries, and when I complained, the guy brought me back some warm, salted fries. Not cool -- literally, they were just warm. When I got home and opened up my sandwich, not only did they give me a double quarter pounder, but it wasn't plain, and the beef was black-burnt. Step it up McD's Sunnyside. I stopped by at 11:30pm to pick up some food, I ordered my food and paid for it, when I drove up to the pick up window after waiting a while I was asked what I had ordered, I reminded them what I i had ordered and then I was askeed to drive up to the third window, that they were just waiting for my tenders. It took them half of an hour to cook my tenders. I was about to drive away but then I remembered I had already paid them so then I decided to call them. I would rate lower but there is no other option other then1 Star. I had my daughters go inside and order due to the LONG drive thru lines. My daughter was up sold. She asked for a mini meal was charged for a combo meal (twice the charge) and then once we got home she didn't even get all of her food. This took place on June 17th approximately at 5pm. You have 3 windows in the drive thru. USE THEM!! There is absolutely NO excuse for the length of time it takes to get served, especially when you're not even using your 3rd window. We were super excited to have such a new and fresh store to go to - we love the breakfast, but instead of seeing the service getting better, it is actually getting worse. Please get it together. Soooooooooooooo slow! This is not an exaggeration and I am sure I have encountered the slowest service at a McDonald's ever. I have come to this McDonald's enough times to confidently say, this is truly the slowest McDonald's I've ever been to. It's right by our house but holy cow I could have driven to the one on 212 and come back way faster than waiting in line like this. I bet I could get to the one by the mall and back too. Come on guys, this is pretty bad. It's such a nice building and area too. (I've been in line for 12 min and counting.) Anyway the last couple times I have been here the service was horrible and the people were rude. They've got attitude problems. Are they freaking getting the cows fresh or something? I'm still in freaking line!!! It's been another 6 minutes. Oh and get this, when we ordered they didn't say hi or anything. Dead silence for a good three to four minutes before anyone said anything. They told us that we had to pay cash or we couldn't order. We said that's fine. And then she didn't ask us if we wanted to order. This was just the weirdest and longest McDonald's experience I've had in 30 years. And it really is too bad it's the one closest to me. Place a mobile order and it failed then waited in the drive thru for 10 minutes and didn't get my utensils or butter went to the door so that I could ask for some and the staff yelled at me through the glass and then ignored me and I had to wait through the drive thru for 4 minutes again just to get my utensils and some butter. It was after midnight but hey they were still open. When pull up to order I young woman says "I just want to let you know it's cash only and it's going to be a long time, I don't know how long but a long time before you get your order.. we only have 3 people working. So it's going to be a really long time. My response to her was oh so there isn't a manager here. Long story short, they forgot about our order. We were in the drive thru and they asked us to pull forward to a waiting area because they were waiting on "the meat" (we ordered one quarter pounder w/cheese meal). I finally went inside after 8 cars passed us with their food. Even after we notified them that they forgot us, we continued to wait as more cars passed us (18 min total). We finally got our order and the girl scolded me for getting out of my car - "Sir, NEVER get out of your car in the drive thru!". The worst part of the whole ordeal was that not a single staff member apologized. It's been a long time since anyone has been so rude to me. Oh well. I recommend Cafe Yumm across the parking lot. This is probably one of the cleanest, friendliest McDonalds I've been to. McDonalds is a known commodity. You know what you're getting coming in. For those who don't know MCD is franchised, so even though the food is generally the same, the service and prices can often vary from place to place. For all intents and purposes i will be talking more about the service and not the food. I've been to other MCDs and the biggest things that turn me off is cleanliness of both the dining area and the bathrooms. Every time I've been here the staff has always been friendly and the service fast. I've never had to look for a clean table, since most of the tables are clean when I frequent the dining area. The wifi is zippy and they also have a TV that allows me to watch the news while I eat lunch. The drive throughs can be a hit and miss sometimes, but for the most part I'm pretty satisfied. The only trouble comes when it's a rush hour and the store has to handle several orders at once. It's understandable, however. I also understand why they raised the prices of the sausage burrito for breakfast and stopped adding jalapeños (it was to speed up service), but those burritos were an unbeatable deal. Adding jalapeños just made it that much better. Bring back the jalapeños! read more

I don't typically carry cash, that's a me problem, however I would think (especially now after reading half a dozen reviews about their system issues) they would be motivated to upgrade their system so they arent taking cash only overnight... or through a weekend. Well today I needed to pickup my prescription from Walgreens and I'm sick as a dog so I figure I'll grab some food for my 5 year old. I ordered a 4 piece chicken nugget kids meal since they come frozen I figured no maggots. Well I get home and my daughter just informed me there isn't any chicken nuggets in her kids meal. So I paid for yogurt and a tiny fries. Im sick with the flu so there's no way I'm going back to get her chicken nuggets.
