The stars are mainly because of the service and not the food. Most of the time the food is fine, but the service is not great. I had a coupon for a buy one/get one offer but I cannot use the kiosk to redeem it. I had to use the counter but no one is ever at the counter after 7pm. They are all busy with drive thru orders. And before you ask I cannot use the coupon at the drive thru either. So I am waiting for someone to come out to take my order so I can utilize the coupon. read more

A filet of fish with extra tartar sauce they have the audacity to charge extra for it but never put it on the sandwich. Again today and overcooked. This used to be our favorite McDonalds because there is lots of indoor and outdoor seating... now we only come here if we have lots of time to waste. They don't have any soda machines in the lobby and are always short staffed. Today one of the kiosks has a credit card machine that does not work so you have to complete the order at the register. Everyone ignores you when you try to ask for something... salt, napkins, and especially refills. The app sucks so I cannot even place orders on it anymore cause it has a problem processing the payment. So annoying! read more

If I could give this location zero stars I would. The employees are not friendly and don't even speak to you unless you speak to them. This is the closest location to my home so I've tried over and over to give them a second chance. If you go through the drive thru the food is cold most of the time, the fries are barely half filled and it's obvious that the staff does not care. The money I have wasted at this location would have been better spent buying needles to stick in my eyes. Normally I wouldn't even bother leaving this feedback, but I've actually complained directly to a manager on duty twice about these things and they don't change. The place is clean and the food is usually good. Enh, decent, at least. So it meets the minimum bar for avoiding a one-star review. But good grief, I wish I had a job where I could just decide to not do parts of it, or continually screw parts of it up, on a whim. With the new system, they're supposed to bring the food to your table-- that is the whole bloody point of ordering on the screen and taking the number back to your table. Most of the time, they don't bother, they just holler out the number, annoyed that you weren't standing there watching. They almost never put dine-in orders on a tray, they put them in bags. There are no self-serve fountains for refills, and they will absolutely let you stand in the service area aggressively ignoring you for as long as they can. Then they will be visibly annoyed and surly when you ask for a refill. And that's on a good day. On a bad day, you'll find that their doors are locked because I guess they just felt like it. read more

I'm actually writing this as I'm the 3rd person in the drive-thru at 10:30pm at night. I ordered 2 McChickens and a large sprite. Its now 10:54pm and I finally got my food. I don't know if they actually had to go out and catch the chickens, then slaughter them in order to drop them in the fryer but it sure felt like it. Last week, I came around the same time and was told they could only give me fries and drinks, two nights in a row (I work near by so sometimes I stop for something to eat, don't judge me). They had NOBODY to cook, just people to drop fries in a fryer and to fill cups of soda. I feel bad for the staff as it's not their faults, I believe they are just severely under staffed or the schedules are a mess. There's a Bueno Beer, Burger King, Arby's and hell another McDonalds down the road. I would just avoid this place entirely unless you have a half hour to kill in the drive-thru. read more

First off, the staff was great! They were very welcoming and helped give detailed suggestions. Very well organized and accessible restaurant. Has a modern feel and plenty of space to sit and eat comfortably. They offer generous meals and for affordable prices. We enjoyed the menu a lot. We tried the Fries, and they were delicious! You know, I always have bragged about how good the Bear Family McDonald's are...but that ends today. I stopped in for breakfast and what I got was just pitiful. The food was OK, though my hashbrown was a bit overcooked and greasy...but that happens. What I can't get past is the rude staff. The cashier did the absolute minimum when taking my order and seemed more interested in laughing at jokes from the back. The "greeter" woman (or janitorial staff) was talking over me when ordering trying to get the cashier's attention. She was quite proud of herself at making him drop my drink cup. Then she pulled out a sleeve of cup tops and placed between the drink machines. She then walked away and left them there, making it hard to get to straws and napkins or a place to put the top on your drink. Then she started washing booth seats. As I was about to sit, she told me I would have to sit somewhere else. There were already two others sitting in that area. Also, as a point of order, her pants did not fit her and exposed the top 2" of her "crack" and her shirt was riding up her back as she walked around the restaurant talking and cackling. She also was asked on several occasions b while I was there to do things, but she always pawned it off on others. I sat instead at the high bar top table near the TV. I didn't realize until after commercials that they had it tuned to Fox News. I'm not going to get political, but it is inappropriate to have playing in a restaurant. I had to sit and eat my meal while people screamed at each other regarding abortion. I would feel this way about any cable news network, so I'm not saying anything is right or wrong. I'm just sad that I actually went into this location instead of doing the drive through. I will never return to this, or any Bear Family location. It may mean that I have to drive out of my way, but it will be worth it. Update 6/9 - again you disappoint. Got in line at 1039pm. Drive through was so slow at 11:00p we just pulled up to the board and the menu boards went blank. Waited for 8 min while the other line continued to move and we kept saying "hello" to a dead board. Great place for breakfast or pancakes. The employees are very friendly and helpful. They have great customer service skills and always smiling. Inside is clean and so is the outside. Great location for families! Never too busy and quality is consistent. I've not ever had bad service, in fact quite the opposite. Food is satisfactory as it is what you would expect. The price is affordable and the consistency at all McDonalds are the same. Food was on point delicious and hot just like myself or anyone else would like it. I'm sure I'll be coming back. This McDonalds was always one of the better fews before their new building. The fries were always fresh and the employees very friendly. Since the new building has been around, the freshness of the food has gone down hill. I have never had fresh fries from this location, no matter if I go during the lunch or dinner rush. It's McDonalds, so you know you're going to get the usual bland fast food. That's the same everywhere. What puts this store at the bottom is their incredibly rude and incompetent staff. My wife went in there with our daughter who wanted to get a cup of coffee and the manager told her to leave because my wife has a service dog. She showed him the dog's vest and tags but instead he started yelling at her from across the room embarrassing her in front of the other customers. I called the manager and he was rude and wouldn't believe me when I told him he violated the law. Later in the day I drove there with the law, chewed him out in front of his staff, but never got an apology from him. I also filed a complaint with McDonalds' corporate and they had the regional manager for the franchise stores call me, but he started to defend the store manager since he didn't understand the law either. Finally I complained the village's health department and their manager was furious about their treatment of my wife, but said it didn't surprise him as he knows that store manager. He said he was going to go there and personally set them straight. If this is the way McDonalds (doesn't) train their staff and tolerates rude treatment of guests you can bet we'll never set foot in that store again, or most other McDonalds for that matter. Go across the street to Mariano's. Better coffee, you can make a healthy salad, and they have a very friendly staff and they welcome service dogs! read more

Absolute worst McDonalds in the area. Constantly quote the menu items incorrectly....both in price and availability....even when you show them the price on their menus they don't accept it. Just went through the drive-through. Took 25 minutes and order was messed up twice. Needed two refunds and they still didn't get it right. Spoke to the manager and was told.....I can give you a free fries for your trouble......my kids said no way....the fries from their happy meal were rock hard and tasted horrible. And it was pretty steady slow inside but in that time that we were there, the bathrooms, the condiment bar and the lobby were all very very dirty. There were plenty of employees between the counter and yet none made an effort to take care of their workplace. They were goofing off, and eating behind the counter. I grew up here and have been going to this family owned McDonalds since before they built the new building. Ever since the new McDonalds has opened I've experienced nothing but issues. In the morning I've had to pull over and wait almost 10 mins for 2 hash browns. Another morning I walked in and had to wait 5 mins to order a coffee bc nobody was at the register. Today was the 3rd strike and is why I'm writing this review. I typically order 2 choc chip cookies for dessert and they always warm them. I've even ordered the case of cookies and both times they were warmed. Today, I order 4 cookies and they're cold. Refrigerator cold. I ask if there's any reason I was given cold cookies? The girl at the window says hold on and the manager Arturo B comes to the window. He says "can I help you?" Now I'm frustrated and ask my question again. He says they don't warm the cookies. I say "but this is the 1st time I've ever gotten them cold?!" He says "we never have warm cookies" it's at that point I pull off on him bc it's clear he has no idea what he's talking about. The service is here is so slow. Doesn't matter if you hit the drive up or walk in. Today I ordered a cheeseburger, small fry, and large drink. It was almost $5 and it wasn't even a value meal. I had to take the fries back (no salt) the fries they gave me as a replacement were burnt.
