I wasn't expecting much from the reviews and it's McDonald's. Location is a bit awkward but not the absolute worse. It's close enough to the hospital. service was eh. Took a very long time with just 2 cars in front me. Once I got to the window, no one was there to even take my order, no note nothing. Say there for a few minutes before driving up. No one at first window. Drove to second window, lady was nice. Took my order quickly and food was fast

It's rare to step into a restaurant before the doors open, an almost behind-the-scenes experience…read more You get to see what makes people tick and who they really are. In the restaurant business, we all have a switch: once the doors open, it flips. Until then, you're seeing people exactly as they are. This team is genuine. Hands down. Yes, I know, I'm technically here for a king cake. Standing in line for a king cake from a famous fried chicken company almost feels satirical. But watching the entire team sit down together for a meal an hour before service told me everything I needed to know about the leadership and the values of this company. People matter here. You can see why the sandwiches are as good as they are. You can feel why the king cake is worth the wait. This team operates like a family; kind to one another, intentional, and connected. The food is made with care because the people are cared for. I'm not here to review the food (which is phenomenal) or the king cake. I'm here to review the brand. This is the kind of business we should be proud to support as a community. Keep it up.

I also like that they feature a daily special that isn't on the regular menu--it adds a nice element of variety. Everything is cooked to order, which is definitely a plus. Just keep in mind that most of the menu is fried, so this isn't the place to go if you're looking for a particularly healthy meal.

Working in a kitchen that sells a $26 burger( with fries) this is not a post about the price but yet the quality. the sear on the burger was magnificent. the bun is the average potato bun. the fries were bought from restaurant depot. this makes me wonder if the meat is also from the depot. the patty was aggressively seasoned. the cheese options are non existent. i had one slice of tomato and three slices of pickles. i try to dress my burger where every bite consists of all flavors. also i paid for bacon thinking that it would enhance the burger. It did not. one broken piece that was nicely cooked. they ran out of Brussels and ketchup to go. the napkins were c-folds just placed on a table. Atomic burger, Backyard nola, Shake Shack, Company etc are much better at the moment. I would go back to try again.

She was very attentive, without being overly annoying(if that makes sense). Now let's get into the food. Hamburger was well seasoned as well as the fries. I ordered the who dat burger. Which is a dressed burger with onion ring, bacon and bbq added. To say I had a lot going on, on that burger my bun wasn't soggy at all. That bun held up perfectly. The patty was real beef meat. Not burnt, not tough, just a juicy seasoned piece of beef. Aslso didn't have to anything to the fries. The came with just the right amount of salt. It's hard to really find a good burger place without breaking the bank. This place was very good. From the staff to the food. Everything was wonderful. Will definitely be back to try other menu items.

Cooter Brown's is truly an Uptown New Orleans staple…read more This classic tavern and oyster bar is one of my go-to spots when I'm looking to just chill, grab a great drink, and enjoy solid New Orleans food in a laid-back environment. Located right at St. Charles & Carrollton on the streetcar line, it's super easy to get to and always buzzing in the best way. The drink options are endless--great cocktails, frozen margaritas, beer by the glass or pitcher, and a huge variety of beers to choose from. TVs are everywhere, making it a perfect spot to catch sporting events, meet up with friends, or just hang out solo. The vibe is low-key, casual, and welcoming--no frills, just a consistently good time. I also love that they're open 11 AM to 1 AM, seven days a week, which is clutch no matter the day or occasion. And finding out they've been around since 1977 just adds to the charm and legacy. If you're looking for great happy hour options, strong cocktails, classic New Orleans eats, and an Uptown spot where you can relax and connect with friends, Cooter Brown's always delivers. Definitely one of those places that never goes out of style. A true NOLA staple.
