When I walked in inside, the interior was very cute, and there were some pink chairs you can sit by while you drink your boba. I was greeted really well and the lady was really nice. I got my usual taro pearl milk tea, and honestly, it was really good. It is a little bit more sweet to my liking, but it definitely was a different taste which was really good too! The only thing is the location is easy to miss when locating it. I believe this boba shop deserves more attention and praise because they are really nice and makes your drink really fast! read more

I visited here for the first time on this past Friday. There was parking onsite. I ordered a slice of crepe matcha cake. It was frozen so I had to wait over 30 mins for it to fully thaw. The owner did let me know that that would be the case. So that was no issue. Overall I thought that particular cake slice was just ok but I'd be willing to try the slice of chocolate crepe cake next time. I ordered the taro bubble tea. There wasn't a ton of ice but I still would've preferred a little less. Also even though it wasn't overly sweet I wouldn't have minded a little less sweetness. Next time I know to request these things when ordering. I took my items to go but there were a few seats inside. I really enjoyed the owner Dee Dee. I'm a sucker for any rose tea so when I found out this place has it, I made my way out there. It's a bit of a drive and when you get there, you will get confused of the actual location. They are next door to a Thai restaurant but the entrance is facing the opposite. Cute little place. It took awhile for them to have my order ready bc it was just one person making it. I really wanted to try their shaves ice cream but it was getting late so I only grab a bunch of different flavor drinks to go. Ask for less ice on your drinks. ***My second time back and when I tried to update my review, I just noticed I never posted. The above review was from my first time trying them out. There was a couple sitting across from us and I heard the lady complaining that her drink had too much ice. My favorite is their chocolate shave ice so good that I crave for it everyday! Their cake selections are fresh and delicious as well. If they have the coconut cake, please get that one. I don't review restaurants often, but we went to this place on their opening day, and everything was so good, and they were so nice, I wanted to help put the word out. My wife is a fiend for bubble tea, and she said this is the kind of flavor that most people really love. I don't like tea at all, but I like the blended taro drinks, and I was a little disappointed that they weren't doing blended drinks that day. I will forgive them, though, because it was their first day, and I ended up getting a strawberry soda that was amazing. My daughter got a strawberry shaved-ice - it looked like a sundae with all the crazy toppings it had on it - and it was delicious as well. We also got a slice of strawberry cake and a slice of coconut cake - both great. My wife went back again today and said they are making blended drinks now, but it would have been melted by the time she brought it home, so she got me a mango-passion fruit soda. I've never had a soda that good before. I don't know if they use real fruit juice, but it sure tastes like it. It's not a seltzer water with a hint of fruit flavor. It tastes like carbonated fruit juice. I am looking forward to getting my taro. read more

I had a previous 2 star review about the amount of ice that they put in the cup. They have since changed that. Before, it used to be more than half of the cup was filled with ice and now it's just a small scoop. I'm glad I came back. The interior is very nice and the armchairs are very comfy. This is my first time stopping into Magic Sweets. We've had their teas a few times at Royal Thai around the corner and have always loved them. I love how the Boba here has both jelly and pearls! My favorite is the Brown Sugar Milk Tea! Stopped by to get some Boba Tea before we watch Boba Fett with our usual group. The aesthetic inside is so cute! Lots of rose gold, pink hues, and marble accents. Although I'm only stopping in to pick up my order, I'll need to keep this in mind for a hangout next time I'm craving some delicious Boba! read more

This place is worth trying because it is the only boba shop in Nola that offers konjac jelly boba! This was my first time trying this type of jelly, and I love the chewy consistency of it. It's so addicting! I tried the mango passion fruit ice blended drink with brown sugar konjac boba and taro milk ice blended drink with taro konjac boba. Both drinks are so refreshing, has the right amount of sweetness, and doesn't have that artificial/powder taste. Ice blended drinks tend to be more expensive than regular drinks so it was $6.95 each, but at least the drinks include toppings and they fill up the cup to the top with a dome lid. This place is next to Royal Thai (an authentic Thai place I'd also recommend), so I will definitely visit here again! read more

Came for the shaved ice, but they no longer offer it. Ended up getting bubble teas. The frozen smoothies had chunks of ice still in it. The honey avocado lacked flavor and the bobas did too. It was like drinking sweetened milk. The passion mango smoothie was good, but had chunks of black stuff blended in it. The Thai tea was flavorful and the best of the ones we ordered. I discovered Magic Sweets quite by accident on my way to another appointment. Stopped in and ordered the Taro Milk Tea. It was delicious though a little sweet for my taste, so next time I'll ask if they can reduce the sweetness. Otherwise it was a very clean and charming spot with helpful and friendly service. We've been on a search for the best bubble tea place in the New Orleans area and I think we found it today. I had a milk tea and my husband had a berry soda. While they had the slushy form that most of us are familiar with, each of our versions was served with ice and "bubbles" of your choice. They were outstanding. Since it was a holiday weekend, we also got two strawberry cheesecakes. These were once again superior to any cheesecakes we've had before. Unlike the usual mass produced gelatinous goo, these were definitely hand crafted by the very friendly staff. Imagine a sort of parfait of graham cracker crust, with white cake miraculously inserted into the middle of a delicious cream mousse with real strawberries. Truly lived up to its magical name.
