My kids and I stopped in recently to get some chocolate dipped ice cream cones. When we got to the window and the guy started handing one out to me, I embarrassingly enough started laughing because I thought it was a joke. It was the smallest ice cream cone I have ever seen served at a Mcdonalds. Also, I am not a pig and don't supersize everything however I did not ask for a "kids" size. The guy told me the "ice cream was really soft today and had settled and died down". Uh What????? It is soft serve dude - yes it is soft, that has nothing to do with the dollop of ice cream on top. Brittany the so called night manager was the rudest csr I have EVER encountered. She called me a liar in so many words, she told me to lose my attitude and did not even attempt to help me until I made it clear to her that I was not leaving without my money. She then went over to another employee and complained about me in front of my face. When she finally decided to do her job and check with the day manager. This is by far one of the worst locations in our area the second one is over on Pacific Ave SE. How are you going to get paid $19.24 an hour and can't make food right? Or get an order correct..EVER! My wife ordered dinner for her and the kids and they not only forgot something yet again they charged her for a quarter pounder when she ordered a Bacon quarter pounder with cheese and when i went back for the chicken they gave me the bottom of the barrel burnt fucking chicken. This has been going on over the course of 5 years now. If you want your oder correct and your food made right I would definitely not go to these McDonalds. Terrible customer service. They never have enough people to actually order so when I'm on lunch at 2am I can never get food ever because they are always "closed" and I used to work at McDonald's and it never meant they were closed just to lazy to make food. It's honestly stupid at this location because the food is never good or anything and this place needs a lot of work weather it's customer service or just more people In General. It's every single time we go here it's always closed and they want us to go through DoorDash. It's always double to triple the price for sub par food. But could this crew get it right? Nope. Not even close. They gave me a quarter pounder with pickles and ketchup. When I handed it back to them and politely told them this isn't what I ordered. I went up to the counter 20 minutes after to check and waited 10 minutes for someone to help me. When someone finally helped me, I handed him my receipt. He said the order number out loud and the lady manager shouted out loud that. That order was a long time ago and she shouted out the order a long time ago. IF I could give this visit to McDonalds ONE star or better yet ZERO stars I would! I come in because it's on the way to where I was going and I have a taste for a McFlurry. Yes an expensive little McFlurry what can I say. I walk in and one of the employees is mopping the floor as I come in and other customers...the floor is REALLY wet!! Anyone (customers and including employees) could slip and fall...the floor was that wet AND it was busy!! I asked the employee I said "you realize that's a safety hazard right?" I said you shouldn't be mopping the floor right now with all these customers walking in right on to this wet floor...he actually said something to the effect that the didn't care. Another customer and myself walked over to the mats where the soda machine was so we wouldn't slip on the floor while we waited for out orders. The employee left and came back with four floor caution signs and placed them on the floor (basically way out of site so he could finish mopping) and said :There ya go that's better now no one will slip and fall" I asked for a manager but was told there wasn't one available. I turned to the mopping employee and I said "you really shouldn't be doing that" He said his boss told him to do it... I said gain "that's a safety hazard and someone could get hurt" HE SAID and I QUOTE: " I don't care I only have four days left to work here and I don't care if this place burns down!" WHooaaaa! At this point I asked another employee do they have an assistant manger anyone that's running the place?? She said yes and the assistant manerg came over to talk to me (how come this female didn't tell me that in the daRn beginning???) ANyway I told him what teh employee said and he said Yea I'm sorry he shouldn't have said that...I'm like if he's that miserable and talking to customers that way why even have him stay make him leave now! Fast forward... McDonald's food is McDonald's food wherever you go. Sometimes it's really hot and good tasting and sometimes it's cold or bland. I'm not sure what causes either situation. Despite the fact that the food is full of chemical ingredients and cancer causing agents, I still am drawn to eat here on occasion. McDonald's food fits best with little children and senior citizens because those are usually the demographic that eat bland foods and love them. McDonald's recent attempts to change their menu to suit the grown up tastes as well as making their food to seem more healthy have done nothing for them but chase away customers. People go to McDonald's because it's unhealthy and they know it. We go back for the old standards. The cheeseburger, the Big Mac, the Quarter pounder etc... Their new sandwiches neither taste good nor are they worth the price. Another reason people go to McDonald's is for their kids and because it can be nostalgic but it has changed so much since I was young that there is no nostalgia here for me anymore. What happened to the characters? Where is Grimmace, the Fry Guys, Mayor McCheese, Birdie, Hamburgalur, or the Nuggets? What happened to the character theme McDonald's Playland? McDonaldland cookies? Custom happy meal boxes? Even the toys are garbage now. McDonald's has come a long way from where they were when I was young and in my opinion, they've gone the wrong direction. This particular location was not very busy when I arrived. Only 3 people in front of me and it still took 8 minutes for me to get to the counter to order.
