I actually lost my appetite dining here this evening! I came in for a late dinner and my initial impression of this McDonald's location was that it was clean and well-lit. The dining room was recently renovated to a more open floor plan. There is fast WiFi. Unfortunately that was where the positives end. I ordered a Big Mac extra value meal and two McChicken sandwiches. The order took about ten minutes to come out. In the meantime, I can hear the shift manager trying to get the line cooks to hurry up, but to no avail. The initial presentation of my order looks fine, but upon closer examination the meat looks dried out, and the fried foods didn't taste fresh at all. Another customer who was there at the same time as me also commented same. My first impression when I saw the meat in my Big Mac was "Where's the Beef!?" Regarding the stale-tasting fries and McChicken, the manager admitted that the person who maintains the fryers had quit and there was no one to change out the oil--so they had been using the same cooking oil all weekend! The McDonald's location on Nelson Rd in Lake Charles is horrible and is not a fast food restaurant. It does not matter if you use the mobile app or the drive thru, they take your money and ask you move to a parking spot where you will wait and wait and wait for your food. Sometimes they forget you are even out there in a parking spot. What happened to getting your food at the drive thru window. My suggestion is to find somewhere else to get your hamburgers! When you do get your food, items are missing and they don't believe in giving you napkins to wipe your hands with. read more

All I can say is...WOW!! I asked for NO CHEESE on my Big Mac & guess what, they gave me cheese!! I didn't even know fries could be orangey-brown...YEP, as the saying goes...ya learn something new every day. I was hungry so I sucked it up & ate what I could, not appetizing or enjoyable at all. awful. waited after placing an order through the drive thru for 42 minutes. then they got the order wrong.

This McDonald's has gone wayyyy downhill since the pandemic and storms. Today I pull up to the first speaker, sit there and watch as 4 cars in the other line place their order and pull up. I say "helllooo?" No response. I see a camera, so I presume the speaker must be broken even though there was no cone blocking the lane. I pull to the window. Ask the girl is the first speaker broken? She says no. I said "because I sat there and watched 4 cars in the other lane order and pull up and no one took..." and she interrupted "what would you like?" Yeah, I didn't want to finish my sentence, and no need for you to address why i was ignored, why stop with the rudeness and incompetence now? I place my order. $6 happy meal and no toy. Probably done on purpose. Girl with the purple hair and glasses...if you hate your job, FIND ANOTHER ONE. It would be great if management would replace the printer or ink cartridge on the receipt machine because whatdya know? The survey number is illegible. Not that that will stop me. Minimum work for minimum wage. Disappointing is an understatement. Taking my hard earned money elsewhere, where it will be appreciated. read more

The worse service I've ever experience from a McDonald's. Took 25 minutes to get our order take out. Then our food was cold when we got home to eat. We only live 3 miles away. The employees complained about serving breakfast after 10 AM. And complained the whole time. We stood there, waiting for our food to a manager in front her. Their 15 people behind the counter, but no one can get our order right or together. This place is the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I will not be back.. read more

Long waits. Horrible service. Girl hands us our drinks with the drink spilled out all over the sides. This is soda so it will become a sticky mess. Ask her for a napkin and she hand us one. We ask for more, and she pops off the craziest attitude and hands us just 2 more for both drinks. Watches us wipe the mess of drinks outside both our windows and somehow can't comprehend that we wouldn't be cleaning it if she hadn't handed us mess of drinks. And then we drive off with no straws. I went through the drive through ordered my food and didn't receive a receipt after I paid. I went to the second window to get my food and didn't receive it all. I was told I didn't order it. Asked for my receipt and was told They wasn't able to give me one. Tried to order what I was missing was told I had to get back in line. I seen the manager in the back being rude about everything. Fast, friendly McDonald's on the convenience of busy Nelson Rd.! My family and I have never dined-in the place, but go to the drive-thru. The staff have always been friendly when ordering and picking-up at the window. Good manners! We all know "thank you", "please", "ma'am" or "sir" goes a long way! Fast service! They know how to clear out their drive-thru! Food is always hot, fresh and averagely priced. Happy to say this is my McDonald's close to home! 4/5 stars! read more

Food is ok, its McDs. Bathroom is clean, BUT there is black gunk around the ice dispensers in the dining area. Only a few of the tables are wiped down and food under the tables that arent wiped down, granted it is 6pm so its at the end of the day but still. The sweet tea is very good read more

If I can give half star I would, worse service and the staff seems doesn't care at all! Went there almost every morning to buy my daughters bfast 4 days a week always order same thing. Bfast number 13 with small unsweetened tea and most of the time they gave wrong drinks or forgot to give the hash brown , i checked it my order but sometimes I forgot to checked it and it happend again , why they can forget to give the hashbrown while they read on their screen I ordered for full meal , it got my nerves , i just wish my daughter will stop ask me to go to mc Donald's, so tired dealing with their stupidity ! read more

I just went to get breakfast and everything I received was cold. Not Luke warm, cold. I had to reheat everything in the microwave when I got home. The hash brown was so old, when I tried to take it out of the paper, the hash brown fell apart. I don't usually complain, but I felt like this was ridiculous. 2 stars only because the staff is friendly. read more
